There was certainly no doubt that he was enjoying her teasing, which was obviously the desired effect. She had been going through a little bit of a dry spell lately - something she'd never admit to anyone of course - so it was a good reminder that she really was as hot as she thought.
Honestly, the way she viewed things was that this whole interaction was two very separate things. There was the assignment that he was paying her for, and then there was the negotiation of this friends with benefits situation. It was only natural really. Benefits was so vague after all... There was a certain amount implied, but it never hurt to iron out the details. Really, the bargaining for the assignment didn't matter much for her. Of course, she really did want to save up so she could get another tattoo as soon as she turned 18, but really it was mostly so he didn't think she was the sort of person who did things to be nice. Because she wasn't. She only did things when there was something in it for her.
The friends with benefits proposal was pretty appealing though. It could be nice to have someone to rely on for all her whims. Not to mention, he seemed to have the same attitude she did. Maybe it really could be that simple. As long as feelings weren't involved, she'd be happy. Feelings ruined everything.
She grinned as he called her funny. "I know, I'm just hysterical," she said oh so modestly. At this point she didn't care much about the assignment - just so long as it got done. But the slow pace was part of the game, regardless of how impatient they both obviously were, she had to draw it out at least a little more. Or at least attempt to.
Zo did laugh at his remark about him not focusing on the assignment. "That is a very good point," she agreed. "So then, just what will you be focusing on?"
Still, he agreed to the arrangement, so that was all well and good. She matched his smirk with one of her own, completely unphased as he leaned in close. "Glad you agree," she purred. Now she was just curious to see if he was the type who would keep distracting her, knowing it only prolonged the teasing or if he'd try to be patient so she could finish sooner and they could get to the real fun faster.
