How was Kai supposed to answer? He had said the best thing he could think of on a moment’s notice. And now Zach was grumpy. “Hey…” he mumbled, taking Zach’s chin in his hand so he was looking at him. “I love you, alright? If it really bothers you that much, I… I won’t do it again.” Keeping Zach happy was more important than trying to look perfect, he knew. It was just a struggle for the vain Taiwanese man sometimes.
But there was no doubt that he was crazy for the writer, and he was fairly certain he’d never realize exactly why he was, either. It didn’t make sense to him (or his sister, and probably not his parents either if he ever told them… Yikes…), but he wasn’t going to fight it. Just like he wasn’t fighting Zach as he stood there and held his hand rather dumbly, seeming lost for words. An amused smile crept up Kai’s face. “You…?” he encouraged, his voice slightly teasing. He started to have a feeling what he was-
Yep, he was right. What he wasn’t expecting was how feisty the writer suddenly was, and so Kai easily toppled backwards with a surprised grunt. “Hey!” he protested with a laugh, but then Zach was on him, and kissing him, and Kai gladly drank him in. He wasn’t sure how long they kissed, hands sliding, lips melding, until Kai had to pull away to suck in some desperate breaths to keep from passing out. “Zach…” he uttered, half-groan, half-growl. “We’re… Going to be even later now… And this time… It’s your fault…”
With one powerful motion, Kai rolled over on top of his lover, pinning him down and straddling over his hips. With deft fingers, he unbuttoned the shirt he’d only just put on a short while ago, tossing it aside before sliding his fingers through his hair, ruffling it up even more. “You asked for it,” he growled with a toothy grin, bending down and attacking Zach with more kisses.
