Finn would have been holding in painful groans of annoyance and embarrassment at Jackson's overwhelmingly exaggerated enthusiasm. That was.... his character, sometimes, most times, especially with Rue around, but it would never get any less irritating. However, the slightly older follower was too distracted with Rue's musings and such to focus on that little squealing, squirming, prepubescent twit. No, what was important was Rue, and the Fae, and Fae blood, and helping the Master in any way he could... He nodded shallowly, "Of course, sir." Rue only had to give the word, and they would be on it.
Finn only noticed his even more increased obedience once Rue's petting began lightening up. It confused him momentarily... but for now, he left his ignorance be. It felt like Rue's work, the almost submissive thoughts that came over him, but it wasn't anything against Finn's morals, what the elder was suggesting, so it wasn't something to be concerned over. Rue knew what he was doing, anyway. They were all here because of that - quick wits, a sharper mind, being a cut above the kids who got slaughtered days within turning.
Well... maybe Jackson was an exception there.
...but that was honestly incorrect, and Finn knew it. Once you knew someone for over three hundred years, you knew almost every part of them. So Finn knew Jackson was capable of being a tricky, sly little bastard. He just didn't understand why the younger one insisted on doing careless things and acting childish. Maybe he would never grow out of those habits.
Finn listened to Rue's concluding instructions with a final nod, ignoring Jackson's behaviour once more. He could get more pissed off once the authority wasn't around. Despite his differences with Jackson, however, he knew they would get the job done well. Osiris could be fun in a good way when he wanted to be. "...yes." Was all he said before Rue left, tagging onto the end of Jackson's statement. That was good enough.
Race? "Really?" Finn smirked, "You'll never win." Well, Finn was a bit of a cheater sometimes, and he was older, and therefore faster, and he was more full than his competitor. He didn't doubt his own abilities all that much. Still, he wasn't about to turn down a challenge. "You're on." And without another word, he sprinted inhumanely fast to the entrance of the coven, resting against a wall once he got there, chest heaving slightly. He squinted his eyes, extending his vision a little as he did, and in the far distance, he could just about see two tiny moving figures heading in this direction. They would still be a short while at the pace they were going though.
