With Gabriel's face clean and the razor in the sink, arms snaked around the man's neck to engage him into an embrace. While it only lasted a couple of seconds, the hug said more than words ever could. Pulling back some, Ki's right thumb caressed his relatively soft cheek as her second hand settled on the other side of Gabriel's face. She guided his head closer and slightly downward, planting a kiss on his forehead before placing her own against it. To her it was obvious that the music teacher felt lost. His ability to make decisions had crumbled, and so she took it upon herself to take care of him. Despite their struggles of the last year, Kiara knew he would do the same for her. Her own sadness didn't take priority.
Without a word, the young woman took Gabriel's hand once more and then led him over into the small kitchen. There she let go before starting to rummage through the cabinets and drawers. Not a lot of edible things could be found though. In the end the young woman had to settle for some chocolate chip cookies. She took one out of the package and offered it to the man. "You have to try to eat something. Even if it's just one cookie." In the meantime Kiara had started to fill a glass with some water. "And drink some to get all the alcohol out of your system." Despite the concern upon entering, she hadn't been blind. Enough bottles were still scattered around the apartment.
"Please," a begging tone coloring her voice as she handed over the glass. "If not for you, do it for me." Not wanting to make it seem as if she were monitoring him though, the blonde moved into the living room area to gathered the bottles that could be found there. She then brought them into the kitchen, into the sink. The amount of them worried her. Having to walk back and forth more than once easily highlighted the problem. Once the last empty bottle, as far as the girl could find, joined the others, Kiara hopped onto the counter, gazing at Gabe.
"You... know you can talk to me, right?"
