The call he was kinda dreading had happened. Both reluctantly and with a small bit of hope he answered Serena's call. Yes he kind of despised her, but truth be told she had been kind of correct in what she said, no way would he admit to someone being right all the way. No, the kind of all the way he went was behind him. He hoped.
He wasn't quite sure on what she meant by hanging out indoors, but if she was mature enough to actually call him even if in a fit of boredom he should also be a bit bigger and welcome her into his home, giving her a second chance. Still the confusion of why she contacted him never left, maybe she saw something he didn't. Hadn't he fucked up royally? They did run in total silence before, and the way they split, while not hostile did not look fun. Sadly she did look fun, and that was activating a part of Lucas he tried to hate, but was really failing to do.
Luke wanted to flirt with her and kind of take her up on her offer, but the part of him that didn't was a slight bit stronger. It was the thought of him getting back with a certain girl that forced him not to sleep around anymore, but the other part of him countered that by making him think he didn't stand a chance, that she'd never want him back after what he had done. Damage is done, if you do it once, make sure it lasts. Damn that part of him making an odd amount of sense in some way, thing was that he failed to see it as a mistake. Well, the first time was a mistake, but repeating it would not be, or so he hoped.
But he shouldn't. She offered to be just friends back then and actually didn't force him to do anything, she was nice and understanding, and really just saying how she felt about things. If push ever came to shove about that he'd blame his Texan background.
Those were thoughts for another day though as he rolled up in front of Hammel with In Flames blasting from the speakers in his car as he then looked around for Serena. They'd agreed on him picking her up, and then chilling at his house. Which actually would be the first time he had people over, both exciting and scary, and doubly so because he would be alone with Serena. How often had he ever been alone with a girl and not.. you know?
Still, they arrived at his house pretty much free of wounds and he quickly let her in as he fumbled his keys. He instantly apologized and blamed it being new. And silently he blamed his ability for not complying.
