“A talent show would be really cool!” Rory agreed. She had done a few of them in elementary school and had, obviously, danced. She’d even won the year she was in second grade, out of all this students in her class. Personally, she thought she should have won some of the other years as well, but her school had always preached fairness and giving every student an equal chance to win. Rory didn’t necessarily agree with that philosophy since it wasn’t fair to the student who actually deserved it.
“We should ask and see if they have one. Don’t they have some kind of recital for the dance team too?” She’d heard that, but she wasn’t exactly sure how it worked. Did their coach assign dances and choreograph them all herself? Or could they just do whatever they wanted and they were expected to choreograph the piece. The latter certainly didn’t sound very organized, but having their coach choreograph everything sounded like a lot of work for her.
Rory glanced down at the suitcase she’d been leaning on the whole time. “Oh yeah…I probably should actually start moving in.” Rory said, with a light laugh. She been so wrapped up in their conversation that she had completely forgotten about all the stuff she had to do. Like moving all her stuff into her new room, and then go back to her old room and pick up the leftovers.
She dragged her suitcase into the room that had been marked with her name. Setting it on the ground next to her bed. It was basically the same room she’d been in before, but maybe she’d decorate it a little bit differently this time. “I have to go back to my old room and get the rest of my stuff, but do you want go to the cafeteria and get dinner later?” She suggested, popping back into the living room before she headed down the hallway to get the remainder of her stuff.
