To Thaw the Ice Queen

Now, naturally Aurora sees nothing wrong with remaining completely solitary for the rest of her years. However, her creator is an eternal optimist and a hopeless romantic to boot so I'm hoping there are some characters out there to help thaw out her icy exterior so to speak.

Friends
Aurora needs someone patient and upbeat. She is quick to lash out at others in order to keep others out. A friend of hers would have to be able to take these moments of rage without taking them to heart.

Lovers
Aurora has never had any personal experience with love (aside from the stolen kiss which brought her to Hammel that is!) so she could end up falling for either sex. Like a friend, a lover has to be patient with her, for she would do everything she could to keep them at arm's length until they find a way to pierce her heart. They also need to be sensitive, because she has a few issues. She has never lost a lover herself, but she has taken what it did to her father to heart and so is determined she never will. It will take a lot of effort to break through her barriers and that will be the most difficult task for any potential lover.

Enemies
Aurora remains indifferent to most, but those her mock her for this still wound her and often receive her icy rage. In time, once she has accepted others she will be very protective of them as well. In the meantime though, she is an expert at hiding her emotions on the surface, so it may be that one wouldn't necessarily know they were one she considered an enemy. As long as she is left alone or only mildly annoyed, you're golden. She is also highly competitive, so it may very well be that she will find a rival at Hammel, whether in academics, raw power or even love.

Ohmaygeez! It's Fleur--I mean. Nice to meet you and your character looks lovely. I have two student offerings, Ann Hudgins (empath, 18) and Eric Bower (lignikinesis (wood manipulation), 15).

Eric is just a generally friendly guy and he's not exactly shy around new people, especially if he senses any sort of tension or anything that isn't cheerful. He likes people smiling, genuinely.

Ann is an empath and pretty much a hermit. She used to just shell up inside her dorm all day (save for class) and didn't socialize. Period. Now, however, she is trying to overcome her obsticals, mostly just her powers and her social awkwardness, by making friends. Ann's not good around a whole bunch of people, but when she is one on one, she is pretty good keeping her mind straight (though she sometimes has problems with talking about what people feel and not say).

I can see Ann and Aurora becoming great friends in the future! Being an empath she would have the advantage of knowing that Aurora's reactions are mostly a cover up for her true feelings. One on one would work better for Aurora as well. Aurora is far more bark than bite however, so as long as she doesn't get discouraged right away, they should get along smashingly.

As for Eric, I can see her rolling her eyes and trying to not like him, but it sounds like he has one of those contagiously cheerful personalities that no one can resist, not even Aurora. She would probably deny that she liked him for awhile, even when she truly does. The whole 'if I don't say it out loud then its not true' sort of mentality xD

I can imagine L.C. and Aurora actually being friends. Bitchy friends, but friends nonetheless. It's like one of those relationships where they constantly get annoyed with one another and sit facing away from each other and cross their arms and huff all the time; but after a minute they look at each other and roll their eyes and get back to talking again. It's love-hate relationship. XD

Hullo Faraday, Jam here. I haz two boys who might bump into Aurora in the near future, so might as well introduce them to you now. =D.

Jared’s (Jared Park) my big ball of sunshine. Like any teenage boy, he’s just bursting with energy. He’s 15, and like Aurora, a relatively new student in school. He’s a very friendly kid, and has this tendency to be a cheerful sidekick to most students, seeing that he views their powers as much cooler and more useful than his.^^.

Zachie (Zac LaRousse), on the other hand, is my brat. He’s one of Hammel’s arrogant jerks who want the attention for himself. While he doesn’t bully new students anymore, he does like to ‘check on them’, see if they might catch his interest. He’s also an all around flirt and would not shy away from kissing someone without their consent (ask Ann, she’s experienced it firsthand.^^.).

Jared is one of Aurora's suite-mates so they are bound to run into each other sometime, and probably on a regular basis. Like Eric, she will probably begrudgingly like him, even if she does refuse to admit it.

Zac definitely does sound interesting. Their interactions would be fascinating to say the least. Were Aurora to catch his interest I can imagine that they would definitely be a challenge to each other which would either turn out really good or really bad. xD

Hello and welcome to Hammel!

Ingrid, the local batty Bio professor, would probably be one of Aurora's teachers. Ingrid can be a hard force to deal with, though she tries to be a motherly (though at her age it's more grandmotherly) figure to her students if they need her.

Emma however, is a student much like Aurora. Emma's pretty reserved and polite, and a bit younger then Aurora. Emma's not exactly the most cheerful person around but she's good at pleasing others and will do a lot to keep a friend happy. However, she might have a few problems with being lash out on. Emma might look like a pushover, but press the right buttons and she's not afraid to show what a mechanic's daughter can do. But as long as Aurora stayed away from attacks against Emma's home life, Emma wouldn't mind sticking around to make a new friend. And if Aurora did mention Emma's less savory background, well, at least it would be good drama.

Eric has that effect on people (ask Zac.) Ann also wants to warn erm, dissuade Aurora from socializing with Zac. At all. (^_^)

After an encounter or two, Ann would find it odd (or interesting) that Aurora's actions or words didn't match up what she was feeling, but Ann often chalks that up to a misreading on her part. I see the two of them meeting through a school assignment, or maybe sharing a table at the Library. Ann is a recluse after all, and spends a lot of her time in the Library.

Eric could run into Aurora virtually anywhere. He doesn't like to sit in one place so if you had a preference to their first encounter, it'd be fine with me. ^_^ I think what would work best is if Aurora had a bad day and was sulking in some corner, bright little Eric would gravitate over to her and try to get a smile and a laugh out of her.

Aurora would be likely to spend a great deal of time in the library as well. She enjoys reading for fun as well as being very motivated to finish with Hammel as soon as possible to get back home to her family.

As for Eric, that idea sounds remarkably adorable! I don't know a location off the top of my head, but I would imagine it would be somewhere Aurora would expect to be alone. But I truly do love that idea!

And yeah, Zac would attest to Eric's claims of being cute, cuddly and irresistable. Zachie considers him as his little pet now. :3

Anyway, Zachie does love the challenge. And looking at Aurora's bio, she'd definitely catch his attention. And while Zac tries to maintain a suave image, he does end up doing all sorts of ridiculous things when he's trying to flirt with someone, so either way it's all fun for us.^^.

He would also like to add that Aurora shouldn't listen to Ann. Ever.
