For the record, anything Akira and Toru liked, Seta hated. It was just the way it worked. Trust me, at least two copies of Toy Story got mysteriously scratched beyond repair, or snapped in half “accidentally.” A bit like Toru throwing Seta into a wall would be “accidental.” Akira smiled and half tucked his face into Toru’s side. “’Kay.” Really, he didn’t mind the fact that his best friend didn’t want to leave him, even for a few moments. “Okay, so I need the movie... anything else?” Aside from dropping ferret-girl off. Moxie might be mildly insulted that she wasn’t invited to dinner, but she’d get over it. Besides, Akira could tell she was tired. She needed to sleep, like it or not.
Jesse is terrifying, all by himself. Akira has a good reason to be frightened of Toru’s roommates. If Jesse was there, it was safe to say that Akira was going to stay well away from Toru’s dorm. He knew that the blonde had a terrible reputation, though he’d never been a victim to his little shenanigans. If he had his way, things would stay that way, too. Akira kept in pace with Toru (he was used to having to walk fast – Toru’s legs were much, much longer than his) as they got the top of the stairs, wincing a little at the question. “Uh... history is due Friday, and... mathisduetomorrow.” Because the idea of them waiting for the bread to sit, and Toru sitting beside ‘Kira helping him is just too sweet.
Akira had never been afraid of Toru’s hand, not even when he’d started breaking things accidentally. He took the key out of his pocket (which reminds me – I STILL need to find my fricking keychain) and slipped it into the lock. “Okay. Um. I’ll be right over. With the movie and stuff.” And then he slipped into his dorm. He put Moxie in her cage, first. She didn’t say anything. She just scampered away into her little bed and curled up. Akira kept his bag on his shoulder, but he did pick up his new movie. He hadn’t watched it yet, because he wanted to watch it with Toru. And it wasn’t because he’d heard it was sad, and Seta had told him over the phone that Midori had bawled her way through it, so he had no chance in hell. It was because he wanted to spend time with Toru, and movie time was always the best. Simple as that. So, with movie in hand, and homework still in his bag, Akira slipped back out of his dorm and knocked on Toru’s door.
