Welcome to Hammel!

Do you want to join the roleplay with the best community of members and the best cast of characters? Great. We've created this handy guide to give you the best chance of success with your application.

If you like what's going on and are willing to comply to the rules, then register! You can register with any name you wish, but after you do, change your display name to your character's first and last name, properly capitalized.

Once you've done that, start on your application! You can use One of our Two application forms, then post in our Pending Application section. We accept WIP applications, but if it is not completed within two weeks, we will decline. Make sure you fill in every section on the application.

Once you have completed your application, feel free to let staff know. But don't nag. Repeatedly asking staff to look at the application is the surest way to put it at the end of the to-do list.

If You're Declined:
Don't worry! Unless your thread is locked, you are always allowed to edit the application, until it is acceptable by Hammel standards. The only way to get your application locked is to 1. Plagarize, 2. Break our rule about civility, or 3. Do something else deserving it that we haven't seen yet.

Hammel has extensive self-contained canon, and most declines are relatively minor, patching up histories so they work with the Hammel canon. You can avoid being declined by reading the FAQ, as many of the issues that have held up previous applications are addressed there.

Unless you are scrapping your character completely, edit your application. Do not post a new one.

Once You're Accepted:

Housing Application (Note: Post here if your character is a student living in the dorm. Also post here if you have a character who lives off-campus and you intend to play them in their housing. If you don't think you're going to thread with them in their residence, you do not have to post here.)

Don't ever be afraid to contact staff if you have a problem or a question. We're here to help make your time at Hammel enjoyable for everyone.
