"Around." Rhett answered instantly to Ms. Rivera's question of his whereabouts. It's a good answer. It's an honest answer, just not the right answer. "And yes. See, who knows, maybe if I assisted to school normally from the begining I'd be in college already. I'd be a genius!"

He laughed at his words. He had never thought about it, the 'what if'. But he noticed he didn't like thinking about it. What's the point on contemplating something you can't actually ever see or live. No point. Waste of time.

"Or maybe this proves I am one..." He said softly as the final students entered through the classroom's door.

Kateri rolled her eyes at it. “Around” was not an answer, and she knew it as well as he probably did. But she knew that she probably wasn’t going to get anything more out of him, and she didn’t even want to talk about the “genius” point. Although he might be right. Reading in a year and a half? It was pretty impressive. Then again, if he was a telepath of some nature…maybe he just picked it up from someone else’s head. Weird.

“Who knows?” was her only response. “Go take a seat, Rhett. Class is about to start, and you do want to keep up that good grade of yours, don’t you?” she offered him a grin, then shooed him away and climbed to her feet. Right, now for the job she was actually paid for.

Rhett smiled and nodded at Ms. Rivera as he walked towards the end of the classroom, taking the last chair on the back. He liked being behind everyone else, that way most couldn't see him while he could see everybody.

He loved it.

Ms. River stood up and math class started.

He didn't love it.
