“Thanks hyung,” Jared muttered, blushing immensely from the compliment. Should JJ call him out for that, he’d just say he’s a little flustered with all the tricks he’s done, nothing more. But really, his heart is swelling right now, swelling so much from happiness that he thinks it might even burst. Completing a back flip is one thing, but earning a compliment from JinJoo-hyung himself? Jared could just die right now (well not really, he still has to master and power and all, but you get the point). He never imagined he’d hear praise from his beloved hyung’s lips, much less hearing one directed to him. His arms instinctively wrapped around the older boy’s waist as he went near, his head resting on his chest as he hugged the boy tight. “You’re the best hyung.”
As much as he’d want to learn another trick from JinJoo though, he’s feeling mighty tired already. Aching bones and joint, as well as a rather fast heart beat could only mean that he’s already near his limit. And don’t even get him started on his rather active sweat glands. With the heat his body’s produced, he feels like he doesn’t even need to wear a jacket on his way out. “Sorry JinJoo-hyung, but I’m good, at least for now,” he said meekly, hoping he won’t disappoint his elder. He would really like to learn more, but he hasn’t even eaten anything yet. The loud grumble that escaped his stomach is proof of that. And besides, it’s almost time for breakfast. They still have classes after all. “You think you can still teach me tricks later?” he asked shyly as he rubbed the back of his neck, “I mean, since we still have classes and all. And and and, would you mind if we eat breakfast together? My treat!” The little boy’s face beamed, wishing JJ would agree. It’s the little he could do after interrupting JJ’s private time and all.
