Cole's eyes fixed on the back of Sam's head as he turned around. Did he? Did he just take a swing at her? "Ah, HELL NO!" Cole exclaimed. He stepped forward only to halt at the woman's words. What you demand, girl, I cannot perform."
The storm's clouds grew darker until, finally, they were black as the night sky. Cole could see them begin to rotate, formidable conditions for them, favorable for a natural disaster. The swirling blackness above them slightly symbolized the conflict within the two people in front of him. The lightning seemed to take on a different hue, resembling more of a red laser beam than a lightning bolt.
Finally he spoke, this time to Sam. His voice taking on a deep, dark, devilish tone, "Sam, you're one of my best friends. You know my rules. You once told me to stand up for what you believe in, remember that? Well, this is something I don't believe in, something I despise. This isn't you, Sam. You're letting your power control you! You have to show that you are stronger than it! Know this, though, Sam, you swing at her one more time? I won't hesitate to step in."
He redirected his gaze just a bit, "You there, girl, you want me to stay out of this, correct? Then here's what you're gonna do. One: You're going to apologize to my boy for slapping him. Two: You're going to tell him exactly what your heart says and not that bullshit your mouth keeps blabbing. And, Three: You're gonna kiss him back because I know you want to. Those are my terms. Do so, and I'll stay out of it."
