It’s probably best that Cole decided not to indulge Zac’s ego with the whole package-size banter. Not only would it be rather pointless (as size supposedly doesn’t matter, right?) and endless (considering the mimic’s ego, it would be accurate enough to say that he won’t stop ‘till Cole surrenders, which doesn’t seem too likely either), based on Zac’s experience, such debate could lead to extremely ‘surreal’ situations. His cross-dressing experience with Vincent, for one. Something I’m sure Cole would very much like to stay away from.
While he was looking forward to this whole night time escapade with Cole, he wasn’t as hyped for it as the other guy, as evidenced by his rather leisurely walk compared to the jog the former just did. He certainly wasn’t expecting anything impressive despite Cole’s enthusiasm for his car (almost everyone he knows is, to some degree, proud of their ride) so his jaws almost dropped when he saw what the boy was talking about for real. “Woah,” was all he could say, shocked and bug-eyed as he approached the car, deftly running his fingers across the sides. “When’d you get this one? I would’ve gotten one mine myself, but Dad’s grounding me. And he’s saying I’ve got far too many cars already.” He can name around six that he’s got in their California home, but hey, who’s counting?
His smile got even wider when he got into the car and sat down on the passenger’s seat. “Dude, this is awesome,” he chuckled, giving the guy a thumbs up sign, “Where’d you put this at night anyway? As far as I know Hammel still hasn’t approved student parking and all that.” Which is why he still needs to call Pete to pick his car up every night whenever he goes out to town. A bummer really.
“Anyway, what are we waiting for? Night’s not gonna stop for us. Let’s go!”
