Raising an eyebrow at the mention of his pajamas, Robbie looked down to his bare body and his checkered pajama bottom. "Dude, I own this look." He said with a quick roll of his eyes. "And I am so worthy." He puffed up his chest and declined to comment on the other boy's cartoon character blanket.
He narrowed his eyes at Jared when he responded to Robbie's offense before he pulled the boy back on to his lap. He felt warmer there. The smaller boy fit perfectly in Robbie's arms anyway. "Me and Zac? Friends? Yeah, right." Robbie snorted. He actually didn't know the nature of his relationship with Zac. He supposed they were acquaintances at best but with Zac, you never know.
"Jared, it's the middle of the night. Nobody's going to see your hair. And you're going to sleep anyway. And you shouldn't care too much about your hair. Don't be like Zac." Robbie scrunched up his nose and because he was in a playful mood, he ruffled Jared's hair again for good measure. "How you like me now?" He grinned before hitching his pants up high.
"True that," Robbie nodded at Jared's point about having Ellen Page in Hammel. He would have tapped that so hard. And very frequently too. Not that he would ever tell Jared that. The younger boy was right. He really shouldn't be polluting the innocent boy any further. Well, not at this age anyway. He was impressionable and Robbie wouldn't want that kind...or any kind of responsibility hanging over his head.
He laughed at Jared's question. "I'm not trying to use my charms on you, Jare." He paused before going into the explanation he had been planning from the start. "Okay, so about these...feelings. How you feel about me is called...platonic feelings." Robbie felt awkward giving Jared advice on feelings when he's kind of losing his gradually. "Like if you see someone and all you can do is smile like...not the smile you usually give me but just a smile you can't help giving. And even if you force yourself not to smile, it still appears...then you're probably more than fond of that person." When he finished, Robbie blew out a sigh of relief. This was an awkward conversation.
He grabbed the bowl of chips on the table and started stuffing his mouth with them.
