“I’m sorry.”
Being clingy was something that Steven detested in all couples, and people in general. People needed their space and when a person was attached to them like a leech it would always dampen the relationship. Even clingy people got annoyed at a certain point. His tears were dried by Kleenex and it only served to make him feel worse, he was being treated like a child because he was acting like a child.
“I’m sorry for acting like this.”
Tears where running down Cali’s face as his were finally coming to a stop, he had made her cry. “No.. I need to.” He took a drag of fresh air like one would when sucking on a cigarette. Reality had a cruel way of bringing people to terms with their problems even if denial had been misleading them for years.
Her hands rubbed against the towel in an effort to warm him, at the moment he didn’t feel her deserved her warmth. She had left for a valid reason and she was just giving in to him, it was unfair to her if he continued acting the way he did.
He tried to slow down his breathing, focusing on anything else would only make him emotional again and that was not what he wanted to be. “Cali stop..” he looked at her, he knew the type of woman she was and despite her background he loved her for it. It was somewhat funny that shopping in a clearance rack seemed like a big thing for the girl, but he could only guess as to how much it meant to the girl.
“I’m sorry for making you cry.”
“I’m not going to let you shop at a clearance rack.” He raised his hand from the towel and lifted his thumb up to wipe the girl’s tears. He could only sit and look at her for the moment, he didn’t deserve to kiss her.
“I’m sorry.”
