“Well Hammel is a school.” Morgan pointed out. “Just because a kid is passing Math doesn’t keep him from failing English, you know what I mean?” He said. Morgan was all for keeping Vincent in high school until he could pass his classes. It wasn’t if they could just dump him on the public school system…

Morgan shuddered at the thought.

Looking skeptically at the floor (since he couldn’t make faces directly at Anya), Morgan shook his head. “Yes. You’re totally fine and the doctor is a complete hack.” He said sarcastically, though his grin remained plastered on his face. “Because it’s not like he’s got a degree or something.”

"From what I've heard he hasn't passed a class for... five years?" Anya chuckled. "I don't think we can keep him in the school till he's 80." She fondly pinged one of Morgan's curls, then took another sip of water. "Or we could. I'd hopefully be long gone by that stage." She laughed, then let out a soft hmm.

She'd just had an idea, but it was a pipe dream.

Wrinkling her nose, she rolled her eyes. "I'm just saying it's a lot of fuss for a small wound. I'm walking fine." Lies lies lies. "I should be riding my bike and walking the dog." Anya added with a grumble, before pausing.

"Morgan? Is it silly that I kind of hope a meta-rights law gets passed in Russia? For a proper school." She hesitated and blushed hastily. "I want to teach there one day."

Morgan pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head. “There’s no way…Christ that kid. Maybe someday that little girlfriend of his will whip him into shape and we can get him out of here.” He joked, completely unware of Misato’s actual gender. Go figure.

“You should be listening to what the doctor tells you so you can walk the dog and ride your bike for a very long time.” Morgan scolded with a fairly impotent measure of sternness. “You didn’t just run into the coffee table Anya, you got shot in the leg.”

Listening to Anya’s suggestion, Morgan smiled vaguely. “It’s not silly at all.” He murmured. “It’s noble, I think.” He tilted his head from side to side in thought. "I wish the rest of the world would all come up to the same level on meta-human rights-- not necessarily our level, mind you." He added quickly. "But at least something. Everyone deserves to be safe, y'know?"

Little girlfriend? Oh poor sweet Morgan. Anya decided she wouldn't shatter his illusion of the little transvestite being a girl, so she simply smirked. "Maybe. I doubt that though, unless getting a good grade in sexual proclivity is a pass ticket." She chuckled softly, though this died when she was scolded. By Morgan of all people.

"Hmph." She grumbled, folding her arms across her chest. "It's not like the damn thing was hanging on by merely sinue. It was a flesh wound and more importantly, it's healed over." She rolled her eyes. "I might as well have my leg hacked off and be done with it. Such fuss." She snorted.

But Morgan was easily redeemed by his agreement, and the petite woman rose from the sofa once more. "I agree." She breathed, moving over to a cabinet and opening something with the rustle of paper. "Want to hear an amusing essay on meta-rights? Mr. Rixon gave his in a few days ago..."
