It was....a very boring Sunday afternoon. A rather boring one. An atrociously painfully boring afternoon, sitting very much alone in his dorm room.
He needed something to do(or someone to bother), or else he was going to go crazy.
But all of his roommates were gone, or at least seemed to be(it was really quiet), all of them presumably off doing their own thing.
Sigh.....
Oriel bounced up from a well-made bed that looked like it'd hardly ever been slept on and stepped out of a bedroom that hardly looked like it'd been lived in. He looked down one end of the hallway. Thataway was to the commons of their dorm and would probably end with a visit to Kodah for unruly shenanigans. Looking the other way, he saw the door at the end of the hallway to his roommate, Madison, an interesting, but extremely reclusive individual. He was, so far, one of the few people Oriel could stand to be around for a long time without getting bored.
With another sigh, Oriel turned towards his roommate's sanctuary. He knocked first(because that was the polite thing to do) with a not-so-polite greeting. "Yo, pedo-luster! You in?" Not that he expected Madison to actually respond to that, but who knew? He might.
As he thought, though, there was to answer, which meant either Mads was ignoring Oriel's heckles, or he was actually out at the moment. With a snort, Oriel tried the knob not expecting it to be.... unlocked? Really!? With a quick look over his shoulder, Oriel creaked the door open slowly and stepped into...
The monster's nest.
Good god, the smell! And was that something growing in the corner over there? And where the hell was the floor?
For the third time in the past five minutes, Oriel sighed. Didn't this guy know how to take care of the things he had? How could he let it get this bad, taking for granted the nice room and things this institution offered?
This was going to take some work.....
Oriel wiped his brow of sweat onto the sleeve of his red-plaid shirt. He looked around the room. Well, it wasn't perfect, and wasn't even done yet, but at least you could see the floor. Already he had taken out two bags full of what could only be trash(clothes and socks so full of holes they couldn't possibly be used, even by hobos, in addition to a moldy sandwich and a plate of fossilized mashed potatoes he'd found under the bed), and still there were two more bags sitting in the kitchen of their dorm and one more on it way there.
He wondered briefly if he could get this done before Madison came back from wherever he'd run off to.
