You can't interfere (Oriel)

This chick was his worst nightmare, right now. It was amazing that she could just sit on him, she was vegan so she was lighter than she should have been. However, she did work out a lot though, so maybe that made her heavier.

“YES! For gosh sakes, yes! You are just going to make things worse!” Why couldn’ the see that? Stubborn bastard. “Dr. Neville can handle everything. He really does give everyone a fair chance.” Maybe not in this situation, since it had so much violence to it. Mia wasn’t abandoning Xavier, but letting the staff do their jobs.

“will you knock it off!” She placed her hands on his shoulders, pressing them to the ground in an effort to keep him from going anywhere.

“Actually, I’m a vegan, you asshole.” She wasn’t as heavy as he thought, she actually didn’t even weigh a lot, not since she became a vegan. Even so, his words kept hitting a certain soft spot in Mia’s mind. Was she really fat? Should she go on a diet? Granted all she really did eat was salads and pb&j sandwiches.

“Xavier will calm down! You need to calm down. How the hell do you think you will even be able to help? What are you going to do? Just run after him and hope that makes a difference?” What could he do that the staff couldn’t do themselves? “How do you know you’re not going to make it worse? Do you really think he wants people to see him like he is?” Like Xavier wanted people to see him the way he was.

Mia relaxed a little, but was ready to go at it again to keep Oriel pinned down. “He’s probably going to be put on probation… I doubt the school would expel him, considering he would be a danger to himself and others with not being able to control his power.” What was the point in Hammel if they were just going to bring students in to keep everyone safe, even themselves, if they were just going to throw them out without any control over what they came here to get control of? And if they kicked Xavier out, than they should kick her out too. She did destroy a part of the dorm building and almost killed herself and two others.

Mia didn’t know about that with Xavier… Really she didn’t know a lot of personal stuff about him, and vise versa, Xavier, much less anyone else not a part of her family didn’t know anything about her past. It didn’t matter to Mia though, he was still a person, and he still had pride. If he was a good friend, he would just wait to see him afterwards. Maybe she was wrong, maybe at this time he could actually use a friend. Still, it just didn’t seem right to interfere… What could they really do? She felt like Xavier would just get even more overwhelmed than he probably already is. “Then why put him through that!” It just didn’t make sense in Mia’s eyes.

Oh, she knew what it was like. She knew what it was like to feel like no one cared. It was a horrible feeling and she didn’t want anyone to feel that way. Maybe she didn’t know how exactly they felt, but she could comprehend it. However, she didn’t know truly how it was for him, because he was a delinquent, and she wasn’t, she never was and never will be. Mia did have the heart to understand his pain, if she knew about it. But in her eyes, he was an ass with unknown problems; maybe, maybe if she got to know him than maybe her thoughts about him would change. The one thing Mia did know, someone, even if one person, would always come into a person’s life and care about them. They just had to be patient. Oriel was unable to see it on the adults side, of course they were going to be self-righteous and authoritative in this kind of situation, the staff at Hammel were concerned and reasonable for everyone’s well being. Did he not care about the kid who was beat to a pulp? No, he only cared about the one that was okay, that got the less damage, his friend, that’s the only person he cared about. In Mia’s eyes, that wasn’t right either. People like Oriel only cared about their own asses, and some of their close friends asses, they didn’t care about who else they hurt. With that being said Oriel had no right to say that adults don’t care about him, or people like him when all he cared about was himself. It didn’t seem fair.

It wasn’t about rubbing anything in their faces, but to have them take responsibility for their actions. And Xavier’s action was that he almost killed someone. What would have happened to Clement if Sean hadn’t stepped in? Would Xavier have stop beating on him on his own? Would Oriel had stopped him? Not because he was concerned about Xavier’s punishment, but because of the kid being beat up, the one that had the most damage, and the one that was suffering most? Mia kind of doubted it.

"Can I trust you?" She really wasn't sure if she could trust Oriel.

“What the fuck did you just call me?” There was no need for him to answer, it was more of a rhetorical question. She actually didn’t want to hear that word come out of his moth ever again. One thing is for sure, he totally pissed her off with that one. The sky got darker, and lightning can be seen going through the sky, as well as hearing the rumble of thunder. Mia placed her hands on his shoulders and pressed down on them, hard. She leaned in to talk in his ear “If you ever, ever, call me that, or any other woman again and I will make sure you will never have kids. Got it?” She didn’t care what he thought, or even his reasoning for calling her that.

Mia got up off of him “And for your fucking information. I didn’t ask if I could trust you because of who you are! I asked because two seconds before you were trying your hardest to get away. I don’t know you, you don’t know me. Because of that reason alone neither of us have any reason to trust the other. It doesn’t have anything to do with who you are, and it doesn’t have anything to do with who I am. Trust has to be earned. I don’t care who the hell you are. I trust Xavier, and if he is anything like you than that should really tell you something. So, don’t you dare fucking talk like you know me.”
