Jake had finally settled into the routine of his new, much less eventful life. And he was finding that he enjoyed it so much more. He had his own house now, no more travelling the world at the drop of a hat. He had friends of his own, not co-workers in a criminal organization. But the most important thing was that he didn't have to lie about anything anymore. Jake appreciated that above all else.
And Morgan was talking to him again, that was also a huge step forward.
But things were far from perfect. A lot of people had been hurt because of MSAD and although Jake hadn't been directly responsible for all of them, he still felt some measure of guilt. He'd held onto that for a long time, but he was finally starting to do something about it. Whenever he had the opportunity to, at least.
At the moment, Jake was pushing a cart down the aisles of the grocery store, checking things off his list as he added them to his cart. He had just rounded a corner and looked up when a man caught his eye. The recognition wasn't instant, it took a moment, in which Jake looked back at his list to see if there was anything he needed in that particular section, for him to finally make the connection when he lifted his head again.
Biting down on the inside of his lip, Jake breathed out heavily, weighing his options. It wasn't an ideal setting, but when would he have another opportunity? It wasn't like he could just walk on up to the campus and request to speak with someone. So, taking a deep breath, Jake steadied himself and approached the other man. "Dr. Neville?"
It was not very well thought out, Jake realized after only a few seconds, mostly because he honestly had no idea what he should say to the telepath, or if Sean would even be willing to talk with him.
