Follow the Bouncing Ball (Teagan)

Rain had a tendency to put a damper on outdoor activities. Amber had intended to spend the evening kicking a soccer ball around the training fields, but the weather had not cooperated. Instead there was a torrential downpour, far too heavy for anyone without meta enhanced vision.
Spider form did not include superior vision, and so the training fields were out.
However, because it was after classes had been let out the gym would be available. He had pulled his long hair back into a low ponytail, donned shorts and a tank top, and headed to the gym.
A few boys were playing a game of pickup basketball on the far side of the gym. On the bleachers near the basketball players was a bored looking girl, flipping through the pages of a textbook. Occasionally she looked up from her book to glance at the boys, her expression changing from boredom to a strained smile and back again.
This left plenty of room for him to play, and so he made his way to the storage closet. Boxes upon boxes of sports equipment were stacked in neat columns. He searched until he found the one marked Soccer balls. He began to tug it out from its place near the bottom of its column, grunting in exertion.
This wasn't the most brilliant decision. The boxes stacked on top tumbled over, spilling out balls of all sizes across the storage room.
Amber yelped in surprise, jumping back and watching the chaos in dismay.
