No one could say that Sam was a stellar student by any means. Most of his classes were passed either by sheer luck, or because he did just enough work to skate by. Now that his girlfriend was almost to her second year of college, she was busier and sometimes harder to get ahold of when he needed real help with things like math. As such, his grades had started to slide back down again. Not that he really cared. Who used math in the real world?
Drama was one of those classes he'd enrolled in simply for the idea that he could spend all period talking in goofy voices and messing around. When he'd actually been expected to do things like projects and work, he'd been dismayed.
... At least his partner was a cutie.
They were supposed to be finding a scene to perform for the rest of the class from any of the available plays their teacher had lying around on the shelves. Sam... hadn't even made a move to get a book yet. Instead, he was sitting on the floor of the stage, carefully constructing a paper airplane. Most of the rest of the class had scattered to work on their scenes already, some even starting to rehearse.
"Soooo...." Sam finished the last fold on his plane and held it up in triumph. "I got an enemy spy plane. ... Y'know. So we don't do the same scene as anyone else." Nice, Sam. No one would see through that, no.
