So Alex wasn't really adjusting well to life at Hammel. He missed his parents and brother(his sisters, not so much), and the few friends he'd had back in San Francisco. It'd taken him a while to make friends back there, but somehow he'd made at least one already, and he'd only been here for two days. He'd adjusted much better to the time change than everything else- he was behind on classes, and being with other metas was slightly strange, but not unwelcome. It was nice to know that he wasn't going to be completely on his own, with no one else like him for a while, but still, he hadn't found any others with his ability.
About an hour ago, Alex had one of his random visions, the exact same one he'd had upon arrival. It included his parents and sisters looking quite happy at their house, looking about the same age as he'd last seen them at, but no Frankie. His brother wasn't there. The migraine had come, and was still lingering, but Alex refused to go to the infirmary. Sure, it'd faded slightly, but he could still feel the headache.
He'd been wandering around the hall, wondering. Alex had heard the tales of the Oracle of Delphi and many other people who could tell the future- they all could tell the future and wished they could change it. Alex felt the same way about his gift. It was more of a curse than a blessing, the way he saw it. The migraines and being unable to change what he saw brought the awesome factor of the thing crashing down. He knew his brother wished he was a meta- but Frankie's logic was almost always one-sided. Then again, Frankie probably hadn't heard of the side effects.
Alex peeked into an office- one that had an open door. Little did he know, it was the office of the Hammel psychiatrist, which was probably someone who he'd need to meet.
