Delilah had to admit that she had grown more and more anxious since her meeting with Sean and even more so since he had agreed to pleas for help. Delilah had lived with her horrible past for too long. She had attended her counseling as a teenager and even into her adulthood, but no doctor had helped her make any positive progress. However, Sean could help her although not in the sense which any other doctor could. The help he would be providing would be taking away her nightmares and mental scars. Not the best way to approach trauma, just sweeping it away as if it never happened, but Delilah didn't care. She wanted it all gone, to stop waking her up every night in cold sweats. The monster which haunted her mind would be gone finally......One way or another.
As Delilah dressed herself, she wondered what the consequences would be of this endeavor. Sean had mentioned that one's past was what made them what they were now. Delilah was far from a good person or even one of those gray area types. She had done horrible things in life, but she also owned up to her actions. What her father had done to her might have been the building block for her violent and destructive nature, but ultimately she had been the one to make every decision and she was prepared to live with that, or at least she thought. Would that darkness still be in her after these sessions or would she be someone different? As she laced her shoes and stood up from the bed, Delilah pondered her life up until now. She shook the thoughts off and grabbed a few things from her dresser before heading out.
For the first time in a while, Delilah sat behind the wheel of her car. A seventy-nine Barracuda, lime green and in mint condition.....sort of. The black leather jacket around her felt cool and soothing as Delilah sat behind the wheel. She partly rolled the window down as usual and let her presence in Pilot Ridge be known for today. The engine roared loudly as she rolled through the town and toward Hammel. The guards at the gate gave Delilah more than a once over but her appointment with Sean cleared the way for her quick enough. For fun she flipped the guards off as she rolled through the gates and into the institute parking lot.
One would have thought she might have walked faster toward Sean's office but the opposite was true here. As much as Delilah wanted her dark memories gone, she was still erasing a part of herself. Delilah was still going through with this, but she still had some small fear inside of her. As she navigated the grounds, she noticed few students, but it was the weekend. No doubt the security team was watching her but none of those rent-a-cops posed any real threat. The only thing on her mind now was getting things out of it.
Within a few minutes, Delilah was outside Sean's office. The door was opened and Sean was inside no doubt getting things ready. Delilah still had no idea how this was going to work but she trusted Sean and his ability, a rarity bestowed to almost no one. She wandered inside Sean's office, her hands clasped in front of her. She rung her hands nervously, but tried to play it down as much as she could. "So, how's this gonna work?," she asked Sean breaking the silence with a fake smile. "You gonna dive right in head and start spit shining the place or something?," she asked with a nervous small laugh.
