General Appearance: Alex is a mid-height, on the thin side, teenage boy. He's handsome, yes, but he doesn't consider himself so. He stands at five feet, five inches tall, and weighs approximately ninety-six pounds. His posture is normally quite bad, and he often slouches, especially when tired. The clothing he wears is probably normal, he wears mostly t-shirts and jeans with the occasional collared shirt during the summer. During the winter, he'll wear longer sleeves and thicker jackets. He's not one to get cold too easily, though.
His hair is normally quite messy. It's on the longer side, which is just the way he likes it. His parents prefer it short, but he doesn't really let them control it, for the most part. When he smiles, it's obvious that his teeth aren't perfectly straight, but Alex could care less about that. In fact, he could really care less about how he looks. He doesn't really get that people will judge him on how he looks quite yet, but with a nudge in the right direction, there's no doubt that he'll start to tidy himself up a bit more.
Personality: Alex is clueless. He's like an absent-minded professor, the only differences are that he's not old and that he's not a professor, although one day he'd like to do that. He aims for the moon, yet he lands among the stars. Meaning, he's an ambitious kid who has no idea how to follow through with his promises. He's a tad on the flaky side with social commitments(parties and dates, if he'd ever get one), but he doesn't really know how not to be flaky. Directions? Forget those, he won't be able to remember them. He was known in his previous school to make the silliest of silly little mistakes, and he's really, really, really, really, really gullible. If you tell him that the word "banana" is on the ceiling, he'll look up and will be absolutely disappointed when it's not written there. He blames himself for stuff that's not his fault all the time, and when something is actually his fault, he's quite upset. Above anything, Alex values fair play, and refuses to play any game if the odds are stacked up in favor of either himself or the other person. He has a different solution to almost every problem- he's a divergent thinker, someone who thinks out-of-the-box with ease. He's also quite paranoid.
Despite all of this, Alex is a guy who can be extraordinarily random and hilarious. He isn't afraid to make a fool of himself for the enjoyment of others, though when he puts others in danger, he'll get sad. He enjoys hugging other people and discussing stuff with others, seeing as he's a social guy. He's quite comfortable around most people, though there are some exceptions. Another random thing is that Alex is as loyal as loyal can get. He sticks by his friends until the very end, and if he had it his way, he'd die protecting someone he's friends with. He'll do anything to the best of his ability, although sometimes it just isn't enough.

History
Alexander L. Grayson was the fourth child to his parents, two hard-working accountants who had a love for antiques. The twins children- Olivia and Julia Grayson- weren't really excited to have a little brother. They paid little attention to their littlest sibling, not really all that excited, probably because they were girls. However, the eldest child, Frankie, was delighted to have a new playmate. Five year-old Franklin watched over his little brother while his sisters were off playing dress up or something of the sort. It wasn't a surprise when the two boys turned out to be insanely close.
When Alex was home alone, he'd spend his time drawing. Art was something that would later prove to be somewhat of a release of stress later on. For a young kid, he wasn't bad at all- though, normally, no one could tell what he'd drawn, as is the case with most little kid drawings. However, as the years went by and after quite a few lessons, it's safe to say that he's gotten quite good. Even Julia(the sister he's not too close with) has to admit that her brother has some talent in that field.
When Alex entered elementary school, he was immediately adored by his teachers. They thought he was absolutely adorable with his little slight lisp, which would go away, and a really nice boy. He did happen to talk a lot, which bothered some of the teachers, but they figured he'd grow out of that habit. He did happen to gain a few friends and a few enemies on accident- tripping over Evan Jenkin's building blocks was probably a mistake that he wished he'd never made happen. During that incident, Alex tripped over a classmate's structure, causing it to topple on the third day of school. Evan declared him as an enemy for the rest of their days in elementary school.
He still wasn’t very well received in middle school, and the same with high school. He’s not really one with many friends, but the ones he had were true. He could count on them for nearly anything. Lately, he's been showing signs of being a metahuman. The random visions he's been having have been making him terrified of going new places and meeting new people, and the migraines he's been getting have been horrible. He's scared of what this ability means for him and those around him. He's just been recruited, and is quite scared about the whole thing.
Roleplay Example
Rick was scared out of his mind. It was the first day on the job, well, the first day of him actually being on any job at all. Today was pretty much the official start of his career. And boy, was he nervous.
At the scientists' meeting, he'd managed to break some glass. It was an accident, he thought he'd made it clear, but he wasn't so sure that Lucy believed him. She was quite intimidating to the Ensign, though he would classify as a fan of her work. Never did he imagine someone that he looked up to as so scary. He just hoped that he didn't break anything today. His reputation was already slipping before his very eyes- some of the guys that he shared quarters with had heard of the incident, and had already taken to teasing the man.
Nevertheless, Rick continued on. Instead of eating breakfast, he'd stayed back and drew on his PADD. Well, on an app that he'd found, not actually drawing onto the PADD... it was normally his way of relaxing. Today, it barely helped.
Above all, Rick missed home. He missed Phil's jokes and Kelly's sarcasm. Heck, he even missed Jane's degrading jokes.
Trying not to make himself look like a fool, he cautiously made his way into the lab.
