Welcome to the Hammel Institute.
You might have heard rumors of ‘special’ human beings. They can do things, move things, they’re not quite... normal. Across the country, teenagers are just beginning to discover these abilities. We’ve all heard the government rumors. Show any sign that you’re different, and you’ll be taken away, used as a lab rat, a guinea pig. Coded and tagged and locked away. Regardless of whether or not they’re true, these teens are scared.
This is where The Hammel Institute comes in. Hidden away from prying eyes, high in the mountains of Vermont, this is the place these meta-humans can feel safe. They are trained to control themselves, and master their abilities. Some of them use their powers for good. Some aren’t as moral. There’s always the danger of a meta-human turning around and using their abilities for destruction. But Hammel tries to instill a sense of right and wrong.
The school sees everything, from elemental manipulation to duplication, mind control to uncanny perception. Teenagers are recruited for training as their abilities come to light.
The question is, how are you affiliated with the school? Are you a school official, traveling the country to find these gifted kids, or making sure the school runs properly? Are you a teacher, faced with training the students day in, day out? Are you a student, old or new? Or perhaps you’re a graduate, or a nosy ‘normal’ human, sniffing around the area.
