And then there were Three [Closed]

It was true that Emma was a fan of speed, even when she used to ride around Hammel she was well known for practically zooming everywhere at 100 miles an hour. Some things didn't change, and if those things were Emma, then they never would. As it was, she had practically roared across town to get to Sean's place as fast as she could. She just wanted to see her mentor and faux-Uncle again.

When the car stopped and Sean got out, she grinned brightly, unable to stop herself from practically flying into the man's arms. "Charles!" She said delightedly, giving him a big squeeze and looking up at him brightly. "You look great!" The blonde girl added, stepping back and tilting her head to the side.

When he asked about the ride, the girl wrinkled her nose. "I would have teleported over but I would have had to have left all my stuff behind, which defeats the purpose." Her bony shoulders raised in a shrug. "Still, traffic was okay, since it was well past morning rush hour. Butt went numb a lot." In fact it was still feeling a little tingly, if anything. She gave it a quick rub with a grumble, then frowned. "Uh, sorry about the amount of luggage." She thumbed at it. "Most of it is snake-related things. And clothes." And now she was worrying about if Trouser had traveled well. She didn't want her baby all sick.

Emma obediently stepped back so Sean could admire her. "I've gained a little bit of weight, which is pretty shocking. Only a pound though, was hoping for more." She chuckled and offered a shrug. Even a pound was big for Emma, who had resembled a stick for longer than she cared to remember.

"Well, I'm ready to get walking, I can't have my darling Charles carrying everything upstairs, can I?" She teased, moving over to unload the bags from the sidecart and the box at the back of the bike. "Don't want you to throw out your back~" She added cheekily, before taking a carrier bag stocked full of items. "For you and Magneto, the top big one is. I hope you like it."

With that, she lifted Trouser out of his tank and then wound him around her shoulder. "Don't worry, bunny wont be his snack. I'll keep him upstairs when the little fluffy guy is out, and when he isn't, you can say hello." The tank itself, however, would be a two person job, so she offered a hopeful grin over to Sean. "If I keep Trouser round my neck, the weight will be lighter and we can get the tank upstairs together. Can we do that first?"

Trouser merely flicked his tongue and enjoyed being on the warmth of his mistress' shoulders.

"A couple would be nice." Emma jested, keeping the snake around her neck and checking her pockets for a cigarette. "Is it alright if I smoke after we're done. I'm dying for one." She laughed, heading over to the tank and bracing her knees to lift the tank up. Once the pair of them got the tank, she grunted and waddled slowly towards the door.

"I always forget how heavy this bloody thing is." She complained, ignoring Trouser's curious tongue flickering around to take in his new surroundings. "Still, it needs to be taken, he needs all his speciality lamps. And Nyk is hopeless." She rolled her eyes, keeping the snake on her shoulders as they went up the stairs.

Eventually, as they reached the guest bedroom, she gestured to a cabinet that looked stable enough. "There'll do." She grinned, helping Sean set it down and then winding the albino boa from round her shoulder. "C'mon sweetie, we're going to get you all warm and comfortable in just a second." She promised, heaving the snake into the tank and righting a few of the items that had knocked in transit.

"Thanks Charles." She added brightly, pushing her blonde hair out of her face and closing the tank shut - she didn't think Magneto would like her an awful lot if there was a wild snake chasing after his bunny. "I'll just whip down and grab the lamps and mini fridge. I swear most of my luggage is his." Emma gestured at the snake, who seemed content to ball up in the bottom of the tank, content.

"No worries Charles, I'll take a quick puff before we get going." Emma said agreeably. Once she knew Josh smoked, they could sit together puffing away like chimneys, which was a nice bonding time for both. "I did try to quit." She added, shaking her head. "It just made my side effects that bit worse. I think I prefer the smoking to the headaches."

She did catch Sean rubbing his back and frowned a little bit. "Are you alright, Charles?" She said, concerned. "I was only joking about throwing your back out." But then he insisted on taking the mini-fridge, she sighed. "Alright, fine, but if Magneto hates me because I broke his lover I'm pinning the blame on you." The girl said with a wag of the finger.

"Okay, it wont take me long to unpack and it saves me spreading it out all over the place." She decided, before heading back down the stairs to take the bags of clothing and the two lamps for Trouser. Arms laden, she eyed the stairs again with a huff. Maybe she could just teleport up the stairs. But somehow that felt like cheating, so she began to move up again, arms totally full.

"You're always so understanding." Emma said fondly as she carted the rest of the gear upstairs into the spare room, opening up a wardrobe and taking out some hangers. "Wow, hangers too, you're too kind." She chuckled and began hanging up her various outfits, before turning. "I'll do my share of the washing and ironing, I'd feel awful if I was putting you out." Once most of the hang-able clothes were up, she flopped on the bed to try it out.

"Well, if your back still feels iffy after you're done at Hammel, we can always get some of that heat rub for your back to fix it up." It worked for her dad, after all. The bed was extremely comfortable, too, and she wiggled over to the dresser to set up the lamps. Once they were on, Emma stared over at the various unhangables, including underwear. "Oh, I forgot, Nykhol sends... some sort of greeting. I'd be lying if it was fond, but I did wrangle it out of her."

Flashing a grin, the slight blonde began tossing the rest of her clothes into drawers, before emptying out the present bag and setting them all out on the bed, checking the little tags on them. She cleared her throat and presented Sean with a box, bobbing her head. "For you, Charles. I wanted to give it to you before we went anywhere." Inside was a very carefully chosen Charles Xavier figurine that she had scoured Ebay for. She hoped he'd like it.

Emma did glance over at Sean with some concern as he finished off setting the fridge down in the corner. She forgot he wasn't just her age with a few more wrinkles and greys. She felt like saying something, but anything she would have said just sounded patronising in her head, so she left it be and instead busied herself in folding up the bags that were now empty. "Mmkay." She replied thoughtfully, wondering if she had packed anything that needed dry cleaning. Hmm. "In the basement, got it. Where's the ironing board and iron?"

"I left my heating pad back home, didn't think walking around in pyjamas with a giant pad on my stomach groaning when I'm on sounded like a particularly grand idea in a house full of testosterone." She grinned, though keeping an eye on her mentor. "I did bring some pain relief though, but that's to be expected." Pulling out her toiletry bag from the bottom of a suitcase, she dashed off into the bathroom to set her stuff away in cupboards.

"I promised I'd call her tonight to let her know that I haven't been eaten or ravaged by a horny dolphin." Emma said, blonde head reappearing out of the en suite door. She flopped down on the bed and crossed her legs with her elbows on her knees as Sean unwrapped his gift. "I'm glad." She said warmly. "There's some other presents but I'll wait till Magneto gets back from work. It'll be like early Christmas." A sparkle was in her eye. "Don't worry, no rude presents, aside from the book, but I thought it'd make you laugh."
