Deck the Halls (Josef, Jessica, Harmony)

Snow lay on the ground outside the town home shared by Hart and Josef, dusting the trees and the sidewalk with powdery white. The sky was a clear blue, the clouds of the evening past having dissipated after showering Pilot Ridge in a winter blanket, but even the sunlight glinting off the windowpane couldn't melt the snow that had accumulated during the night.
Inside was cozy and warm, mugs of hot chocolate and cider placed on the counter while Christmas music from the stereo filled the air as four bodies celebrated the impending season by decorating the massive tree towering up to the ceiling in the living room, a flat-faced cat making their work difficult by coiling around ankles as they walked, or clambering into the branches and swiping at hands attempting to hang pretty glass ornaments.
Boxes of ornaments were piled on the floor, from glass balls and Victorian Santas to candy canes and baked gingerbread men. The two men had already twined the lights around the branches, as difficult as Ouch had made that task for them, and they now twinkled in a myriad of colors while the four worked.
He was absolutely thrilled to have both Jessica and Harmony over at one time; he still had hopes that the two girls, though a few years apart in age, would find friendship in one another.
"Isn't this great?" He enthused, shooing Ouch out of the tree as the cat attempted to take him by surprise yet again. "Decorating for the holiday, Christmas songs playing. It almost makes me want to start writing letters to Santa."
