Pay My Respects to Grace and Virtue [Closed]

Her mission had been completed, therefor she was able to return to the house and her induction into M.S.A.D was complete. She was now a member. Gabriel had not yet told her what he planned to do with her, but she was not concerned about that right now. She had started to train again when she had first arrived at the house, but since she had been under cover, she had cut back on it. Now, however, she was focused to turn her body into the well oiled fighting machine that would certainly come in handy, should things escalate.

So, naturally, Penny spent nearly all her time in the basement training rooms, kicking and punching whatever was in front of her until her body screamed with exhaustion. Today was no different. She was wearing short work out shorts and a sports bra, only, to offer as much movement as possible. She was covered in a great deal of sweat when she decided to break for lunch--and by lunch she was going to drink a protein shake. She wiped herself off with a white towel and took several long pulls from a water canteen before she left the basement and headed towards the kitchen.

The atmosphere in this level of the house was frantic, Penny could just sense that something was wrong. She paused in a long stretch of hallway and heard somewhere above her a lot of movement. She cautiously slipped into the kitchen and picked out two of her favorite cooking knives before she continued on her little investigation. It was at the bottom of the steps that she heard a few different sets of foot steps running. The other members were flocking to somewhere. Penny took the stairs slowly, in case this was an ambush of some kind, and kept her eyes constantly sweeping her surroundings. Once she was at the top of the stairs, she hear loud voices.

She quickened her pace, but continued to move silently on the balls of her feet, in case of danger. There wasn't any sound of gun fire, but as she rounded a corner she saw a door splintered and destroyed in the hallway, a quick recall of the blue prints of the house told her it was the room to Gabriel's study. Her eyebrows knit together in confusion, was this some sort of test or exercise? If so, it was an odd one. Once she made it to the actual doorway, her hands had lowered, the knives clenched tightly in her hands. Jesse's back was to her and at a glance she took in the state of the room. Disarray; not how Gabriel kept it. A window was broken and it was full of the other members, she saw the twins, one crouched down. She took a slow step into the room and saw Gabriel clutched in Reese's arms. A stone dropped into her stomach, but she certainly wasn't the most devastated of the group.

Yes, she was a member now, but the other members had been here for years (Jesse as the exception) and knew Gabriel a lot better, and were a lot closer to him, than she had. It sucked that their leader died, and someone was to blame for this. "Where did the attackers go?" She asked. They were a deadly fighting force, thanks to Gabriel. They should do what they know, and hunt those responsible down. Penny guessed that someone had to have been thrown out of the window, if that was the case, then they were injured and would head somewhere to be fixed.

Penny leaned against the door as everyone descended further and further into their own forms of anger and depression. The twins started to bark orders like he expected, as they were the most likely to take over MSAD since Gabriel was no longer able, Paulo had a few choice things to say to Jake, which caused Penny to smile behind her hand for a moment. She saw Jake as nothing but a weekness, as he was dating the enemy, and yet he was here, grieving like he hadn't betrayed Gabriel at all. She worked her face back into a mask and watched as Jesse shoved Max out of the way to cry on the corpse.

What a baby.

Penny glanced between the other members, choosing to stay quite. She had asked her questions already and the twins made it clear that the answers weren't going to come until after Gabriel was 'respected.' Penny shifted her weight to her other foot, resigned to do whatever she was ordered (within reason).
