O'Malleys was starting to become one of Quinn's go to spots. It was perfect. Just on the edge of town and pushed back, uninviting exterior and even worse interior. Not someplace one of the peppy receptionists from work or mothers of her patents would hang out and not close enough to the school where she'd bump into every high school obsessed classmate she had known from her awkward years. No this place was far from the cozy inns and bars most people from the town tended to drift towards. It was a wonder that it was open at all.
The smell in O'Malley's was strong enough to send a health inspector into a tizzy. Stale beer and cigars hung around thick like a cloud in the dimly lit bar and the floor groaned and creaked with every step under the patrons who were as raggedy looking as the bar itself. The lights were dim, many of the bulbs flickered and the once brightly colored blue paint on the walls had been stained by smoke and was peeling in desperate need of some love.
Quinn looked out of place in the bar, sitting on an wobbly old wooden stool that had seen better days. Unlike the rest of the crowed, who looked like they'd crawled in from a mud wrestling match and hadn't bothered to shave or trim their beards in months, she looked put together. She wanted to look put together, not that she planned to impress anyone. But tonight she was on a date with herself as this day, just a few days before Christmas had been important to her for the past 7 years... and it would have been important this year too... if... well, sometimes relationships don't last. But Quinn was having a hard time letting this one go. She swore she was over it... and she was over it, mostly. But she still thought she deserved to be taken out even if it was just by herself and she was going to look good for herself.
So there she sat, two beers in sitting on that old bench in a form fitting red dress that hugged every one of her curves. Her dark hair fell in loose curls around her shoulders and her makeup was done up nice, a smokey eye framing her piercing blue eyes and a soft lip.
She tossed the rest of her beer back and ordered another one. Grabbing the mug from the bar she went over and grabbed the darts. She was already starting to wobble on her platform pumps which wasn't the best sign. "Move over." She said hip checking a large bearded man wearing flannel. "You think that's how you throw a dart you big.." She looked over at him searching for an insult. "LUMBER JACK!" She laughed at her joke a bit too loudly. "Watch." She took the dart in her hand and closed one eye sticking her tongue out as she pelted the dart through the air with surprising accuracy. It hit the target. "See. Now thats how you do it! Lumby" She nick named as she slapped the mans ass and laughed again.
He didn't look pleased.
