You Won't Shoot the Messenger (Dom)

[Carter Chevalier]

Dom knew that Carter had left to meet with Tak in town not too long ago. He had called his brother to talk on the way, but once he neared the destination he hung up to find his way to the shop.

While talking to Tak he was silent, but during the conversation he began sending messages out.

[Dom: Did Tak roleplay with you? I think she's roleplaying with me, but I don't understand it...]

[Dominique Chevalier]

Hanging off his bed, so his head touched the carpet and his face was warm with blood, Dom frowned at his phone.

[Carter: Is she pretending she's Pocahontas, or putting on an English accent?]

[Carter Chevalier]

[Dom: Ha. She keeps saying she's pregnant.]

Was that a yes or a joke? Carter knew how to take it.

It took a sharp amount of time before any answer came through. He was in another conversation, after all.

[Dom: I think she might be.]

[Dom: Did she tell you?]

[Dominique Chevalier]

[Carter: Because THAT is sexy >_>]

The teenager's usually pale face was going slowly red, so Dom pulled himself up with a quick tensing of his abdominals. The slightly amused smirk had faded as he read his older brother's message.

[Carter: What. The. Absolute. Fuck]

[Carter: No she fucking didn't. What, does she think it's mine? Does she think its YOURS? ]

[Carter Chevalier]

[Dom: She said she doesn't know who the father is. And that it could be mine or yours.]

In his meeting with Tak, he did his best to keep a straight face and not look so god damn pissed off.

[Dom: Or half the fucking school's.]

[Dominique Chevalier]

[Carter: Does she want money?]

Dom was starting to really wish he was there with Carter. This seemed like it really was something that he should be able to have a say in.

[Carter: And who cares who's it is. WHY would that be]

His eyes widened, and Dom cursed under his breath.

[Carter: what is she saying now?]

[Carter Chevalier]

[Dom: She thinks you don't deserve to be told because she doesn't know you.]

[Dom: We are not the same person.]

Carter unfortunately didn't get a chance to answer for a while after that. Minutes went by.

[Dom: She says she can look after herself, and doesn't need any help.]

[Dominique Chevalier]

[Carter: Carnal knowledge isn't good enough?]

[Carter: her thinking that is why I'm involved in this fuckup]

Dom had gotten up, stalking over to his desk and yanking open a box to pull out two polished smokey quartz spheres he used as stress balls. As he watched his phone, the two balls revolved slowly in his palm.

His phone buzzed. Dom read the text.

[Carter: If that were true this wouldn't have happened.]

[Carter: What is she going to DO about it?]

[Carter Chevalier]

[Dom: She's 'trying to do what I want'.]

Nothing for a while. Carter has to choose his spots to message carefully. He was just glad he could text without really looking.

[Dom: She wants me to give her a break.]

[Dom: Now she has stomach cramps. Am I supposed to suddenly be fine because she's in pain?]

Nothing again. It took Carter a while to type out what he needed to.

[Dom: I need help.]
