AU: Told you so!

[Levi Xu]

((This AU is in Levi-vision. His power is the ability to see other characters as they are in other dimensions. This means that he sees them as other characters their playby has played. In some cases, his power only assigns some traits, and in others it's a more dramatic change. For example, he sees Sean as an omnipotent lion, but not as Aslan directly.

In this AU, characters should act like how Levi sees them, and if it's something particularly strange or fantastic--vampires, wizards, and the like--they should be trying to keep it a secret.

If you don't already know how Levi sees your character, PM me or find me in the chat and we'll work it out. Usually I will pick the strangest role, but it's flexible. Players/characters who have been around a long time might already know from encountering him before.

It had been over three years since his power had manifested, but Levi was still in awe of it. He had been pretty skeptical before all this, but now.... well, he was willing to believe so much. After all, his best friend was a vampire and he was dating Spider-Man.

One of his favorite hobbies was people watching. It's what he decided to do that morning, because he knew Evan had classes and Sam had training. So Levi gathered up his pet bunny and some carrot sticks, then headed towards the courtyard. Unfortunately, he didn't know that there was a lockdown drill scheduled.

Hammel was efficient, and since he'd just been walking in the hallway, a security guard shuffled him into a mostly empty classroom with a few other people. The light was shut off and the door locked. After a moment of wishing he'd just stayed in his room, Levi quietly said to the group, "I hope no one's allergic, because I kind of have a rabbit with me."

As if on cue, Dragon the bunny perked up his ears.

Lockdown drills were one of Sean’s least favorite aspects of life at Hammel. He understood the importance of disaster preparation, and he had lived through a time with duck and cover drills in school. At the same time, it was disruptive to the day, and it had the effect of making some of the more sensitive students uncomfortable. Not to mention that, even with disaster preparation, people were prone to panic in times of danger.

Instead, the lockdown drill had gone into effect, and the lion had been out of his office at the time, on his way to the staff lounge to get himself a bite to eat. Unfortunately, he hadn’t been able to reach his goal before being asked to go into the nearest room, which was a classroom halfway between his office and the lounge. Where he would have to ride this out.

He shook his head, causing his mane to air out a bit. Then he found himself a corner of the room in which to get comfortable, resting on his front paws to use as a cushion.

The lion looked over when both Levi and his bunny were swept in, and he offered a smile which bared his teeth. “We’ll find a way to cope with any allergies; the drill won’t last for long.”

Sam might have had training scheduled, but that didn't mean that the vampire was actually attending class. He was just as easily found pestering people in the halls or jumping off the roof and landing like a cat. Who needed training, really? Not him.

Well, okay, so sometimes he had unexpected fireballs go off. It was normal.

... As normal as Hammel ever got, anyway.

The vampire had been running through the halls at breakneck speeds, giggling like a child when the lockdown drill had gone down. He'd been distracted, and smacked into a wall. There was a nice sized crack where he'd hit, not that he cared.

He was about to speed off again when a teacher appeared in front of him and shooed him into the nearest classroom. He was about to protest that if there was an intruder, he could take them down no problem, but when he recognized who was in the room any protest died completely.

Levi was in the classroom.

Oh, and Dr. Neville, but he didn't care about that. "LEVS!" Sam grinned and crossed the room in seconds. He'd long since stopped caring about hiding the fact he was a vampire. Especially with Levi, who had somehow known instantly. "This is gonna be awesome!"

Sadly, they couldn't get into much trouble with Dr. Neville sitting there. Sam glanced over his shoulder and beamed innocently at the lion. "Hi Dr. N! Uh... if you see a big crack in the wall down the hallway? Wasn't me."

Subtlety, thy name is Samuel Rixon.

Sometimes, it really struck Levi how dangerous Hammel was. No wonder they did lockdown drills like this; as the town of Pilot Ridge itself had some unsavory characters. But the school also had a lot of dangerous people--and despite everything he'd seen, Levi always called them all people. A sentient lion wasn't human, but he was sentient--on the inside too.

In fact, when he heard Dr. N's voice, he shivered and pulled the bunny closer. Levi didn't know who else knew that the lion was omnipotent, but the psychiatrist terrified him.

Also, he was pretty sure that lions would eat rabbits, given the chance. "Good. I'll keep him right here, and Dragon isn't shedding right now." Hopefully no one would object.

The boy jumped when his friend appeared beside him. Levi was always startled when Sammy just showed up like that. "Shh! Sam, we're supposed to be quiet during these. In case there's someone creepy."

He did feel a little safer though, knowing his friend the sparkly fireball was here. Sammy would protect Dragon.

[Christian Lucas]

"Stupid lockdown..." Christian Lucas was wearing tight slacks (That's almost an oxymoron when you think about it.) a cowboy hat, and a bow tie. He had been headed to work on his pole work, and had a dance class afterwards, but halfway to the gym the alarm had been sounded and he was ushered down the hall into a room, since it was apparently the nearest unlocked room at the time.

As he approached the room he saw a younger man urged into there by another guard. He slid in behind the boy but wasn't noticed by anyone else as the Asian boy greeted his apparent friend. Why the lion was here instead of his office, Chris had no idea. But he just shrugged and sat down on a desk, not interested in talking to anyone, still pissed at the fact he was probably going to miss his dance class.

There were few pleasant outcomes that could arise from being trapped in a classroom with Sam Rixon during a lockdown drill, but Sean was grateful that it was him and not one of the less-equipped staff members who had that task. The lion preferred not to flaunt the full scope of his powers, which meant simply grinning and bearing the task. Unless Sam acted out, at which all bets were off.

“Levi is correct,” he told the vampire. Such correction should only take one remark, although this was Sam and thus he was prepared for a second round.

When the door opened to reveal another person pushed in by security, the lion turned to assess. Sean wasn’t surprised to find that it was Christian Lucas, given that he had been previously unaccounted for. The drill was successful thus far, in that people were finding appropriate rooms, even if their conduct and attire left something to be desired.

Telepathically, he projected into Christian’s mind I was out in the hall when the drill began, and I play by the same rules as everyone else. He would prefer to ride out the drill in his office, but he had been closer to this classroom. Thus, he was making himself comfortable.

“It should be finished soon enough,” he reminded the occupants of the classroom. The drills never lasted that long.
