Adventure Time, C'mon Grab Your Friends~ (DK)

Good, they had somewhere to train, and somewhere to play. Check and check. Now they just needed to get their music syncronised, and they were on their way to fame and glory. (Not really.) She took a look around the alley and chuckled. ''Oh, I don't mind. It might even do us good, having someone listening and possibly enjoying our music.'', she said with a huge grin and chuckled. She enjoyed this boy, more than she had enjoyed being with most of the kids on Hammel. It was nice, really nice.

She held up her smart phone and grinned. She moved closer to River and started typing on the phone, and moments later, all the things they needed popped up. ''There!'', she said and smiled. She zoomed it in and placed her phone in front of them so they could both see, even though the screen was small, so they had to crouch down to see it clearly.

She pulled up her guitar as well and sent River a warm smile. She was looking forward to this. Looking forward to putting all their energy and chemistry into music, and she had a feeling it would be pretty damn magical.

"Sounds good to me!" River replied, adjusting his hat as they set up (the brim had a habit of falling over his eyes). "This is really exciting." As DK pulled out her phone to look up the music, he checked his instrument, making sure everything was just right for them to play. Who had known this day would lead to making a wonderful new friend and jamming out in a street alley before moving on to a crowd? He couldn't stop grinning.

River watched with wide, curious eyes as DK tapped her phone, losing track of all the things she had pressed until what they needed appeared right in front of them. "That is super cool," he breathed, entranced by the small device. He crouched down next to DK, reading through the music and getting a feel for what they would be playing. "This shouldn't be too hard," he determined, beaming.

He settled down a bit more and put his violin in place, readying the bow in his other hand as he sent DK an excited look. "Ready?" he asked. When she was, he counted down and began playing, the notes echoing off of the walls of the alley as the two instruments melded into on melody. The cats all turned to look in interest, but River was glad to see they weren't moving yet. They had a few mistakes here and there, but overall, he thought they sounded pretty dang awesome.

The way it made her feel when the two of them played together was beyond what she was capable of describing. Such simplicity quickly grew into something magically and beautiful it almost sent her to the brink of tears. She loved the way her guitar felt in her hands and how the strings felt against the tips of her fingers. She was truly happy she had met River, and even more so that they had hit it off as well as they had.

DK's eyes closed as she grew one with the way her fingers moved and the way the melody sounded in her ears. She floated endlessly on strings made of metal, jumping from string to string as the music moved her mentality to newer levels. She was sky high, happy as she could be, and for those who knew her good enough, knew that while she was playing, she was at her utmost sincere and vulnerable stage.

As the song ended, she re-opened her eyes and turned towards River with a huge grin on her face. ''That was... Wow, just wow.''

Once they got more into the rhythm of the song, River found himself captivated by their own music, amazed by how well they were able to play together even having just met. Violin and guitar melded together into one as the song continued, until he felt like they themselves were one. It was a magical experience, and River's eyes half-closed as he fell into a music-induced haze, letting muscle memory take over as he got further into the song.

It seemed to last forever, and no time at all. When it was over, he let out a long, slow breath before opening his eyes completely. "Wow," he agreed breathlessly, letting out a laugh. "I don't think we need much more practice than that. We sounded awesome." The cats had made their way over to the two, and had made a sort of half-circle around the pair. River rubbed a hand through his hair, nodding out of the alley. "What do you think? Ready to try a busy street corner?"

Putting the guitar down, DK gave River a nod and rested her hand on her hip, trying to avoid eye contact with the cats who seemed to circle them as if they were today's prey. ''Ready as we'll ever be!'' Besides, who cared if people didn't enjoy it? It would be an adventure nonetheless and at least DK and River could enjoy it, even if no one else did. That was the most important thing, right?

After existing the alley DK looked over at River and smiled. ''Ready for take off?'' She was looking forward to this. Not only the part where they performed in front of a lot of strangers, but also playing with him again. It was a pretty magical moment music-wise, and she had really missed having that kind of connection with someone. It had been years since she last had that kind of musical-connection and agreed with someone on that kind of level. River was awesome, and his musical talent broke the scale and sent it flying.
