Forcing a small smile at the teacher's response, Sammy nodded without saying anything else. It wasn't that she thought teachers won't care about them but she was sure some of the teachers didn't even know how to handle them. And that would probably hinder some of them from helping.
"Heh." The pyro responded when the older meta responded to her question. "I guess you're right." She nodded before turning a little to see what Brooke would answer.
Sammy squeaked a little when Brooke slung her arm over her shoulder, giggling nervously at the sudden intimacy at being pulled close to people she barely knew.
"Oh." She responded with a grin, recognising the reference right away. "I guess even magicians have their limits." She sighed and hugged the shoe to her body. Maybe she'll go into town to have a shoemaker fix it. She was definitely not throwing it away.
"Oh, okay. Um...thank you so much Mr Zack. See you around." She gave the man a little wave before following Brooke in.
