Don't Stand So Close to Me (Rya)

The water was much deeper than she had anticipated which meant she had to constantly keep refilling her lungs with air to keep herself afloat. That and constantly paddle, which could get quite tiring after a while. That fact she learned from swimming classes when she was a young girl. They used to make her stay afloat for about an 20 minutes at a time, it seemed. And then when her power manifested, she realized it was so much easier to manipulate the water to act as a stepping stool almost. So that was exactly what she did now.

Water circulated around her feet and she was smiling. No, not a cocky grin or a seductive smirk, but smiling. The 'I'm legitimately happy right now' sort of smile that lit up her face. "That was a given," Rya said as Carter resurfaced. She didn't forget why she was in the water with Carter. She definitely didn't. Rya swam over, and in order to support herself this time, she wrapped her legs around his midsection, and her arms rested on her shoulders. "My territory, my rules. There's no escaping it now."

Carter took the moment to really notice the way she looked - not in terms of her level of attraction or anything of that nature. But she seemed happy. The genuine kind that he felt as if he rarely saw her wear.

He didn't know what to think.

So he ran his hand across his hair to slick it all back. He didn't like it messy and over his face. His features registered a stint of genuine surprise when she wrapped her legs around him and brought herself close. Ah, she really was testing him. But no matter, the fit boy could support them both. And if he were desperate, he knew there was still some ground beneath the bed of water to stand on.

"Never doubt your ownership of me," Carter said with an amused smile on his face, "Water or not, I really am all yours. It's just a matter of what you want to do with me."

It was brief, but Rya noticed the slight change in his features. He was...surprised? She hadn't a clue why, but hey, it worked to her advantage, right? It wasn't as if they were strangers to each other, but it was amusing to see something other than cocky indifference on him every once and a while.

"I'll remember to bring a lead and collar next time, I promise."

It had to be done, really. A moment was not complete without some sort of sarcastic remark, even in times like these when her body screamed to be touched. That was, of course, only known by her. It wasn't because of what Carter was doing, because he really wasn't doing anything at this point, it was the fact that it was forbidden that was making it all the more desirable.

"How about we make this a bit more interesting and fun for the both of us?" Rya said suddenly as she leaned forward. "Kiss me and afterwards you can ask me to do anything. The trick is, I can't refuse, just like you can't refuse me."

"Please. I do so love it when you assert dominance." Carter replied swiftly.

Her sarcasm did wonders to lighten the mood and distract his mentality. He silently and mentally thanked her for it. He found himself feeling the usual stints of desperation that came with being faced with something he couldn't have. He didn't have to do anything, and he knew that. And Carter was sure that she knew that too. The electricity her skin offered was intoxicating enough.

Carter ran his tongue along his bottom lip as he mulled over the offer before him. "Oh, you'll actually do anything I ask? So willing to give up her power." He mused aloud. But the boy barely wasted another moment; as he dragged the ground up to meet his feet, his hands slowly traversed the line of her thighs. One hand trailed up to circle around her waist, ensuring she could take no distance as he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers.

In a kiss, it was everything he expected. Every ounce of frustration he felt was offered to her in the simplest of actions.

And when he finally did pull back - because he did need to breathe - he offered a sharp exhale and the simple raise of his eyebrow; "Get kicked off the trip with me."

"Exactly," Rya mumbled, her eyes resting on his lips for a moment before they were back on his eyes. The water shifted around them as a hard surface came to rest underneath Carter's feet. He wrapped an arm around her waist and held her to him, leaving her in his total control. Barely a second after, Carter dipped his head down and captured her lips with his own.

It wasn't light, nor was it playful; this kiss was packed full with desperation and frustration. Her hands traveled through his hair, and along his jaw until she felt there was still too much distance between them. By that time, her arms were wrapped around him. He pulled away not too long after.

There was a strong urge to protest, but an even stronger urge to breathe, so Rya reluctantly allowed him to pull away. "Get kicked off the trip with me," He said. Rya should have hesitated; she should have thought about it. But with the taste of him still on her tongue, and the alluring lack of distance between them, Rya couldn't say no.

"I have no clue why you waited until now to ask," She ran her hand along his side as she played with the waistband of his underwear. "There isn't any going back now, Carter." She said before closing the distance between them once more.
