The Twins view of thier siblings

Devlin: Although they feel like he's a great guy to go to in a jam, they sorta see him more as a second father than a brother. They take advantage of his ability to get them out of trouble quite a bit.

Zach: While the twins depend on their brother to check their room for crawly things, they're not very trusting of him. Ever since the dreaded cactus incident (really they didn't mean to kill it, who knew soda killed plants?) they've been a bit more weary of him. Still, they enjoy annoying him while keeping a safe distance.

Aurora: Like Devlin, the twins see her as second parent more than an actual siblings. She's usually the one they go to and complain about other siblings or monsters in their closet when they were younger. And they are starting to find it annoying when she still sees them as kids.

Gordon: The twins hero worship Gordon and have a habit of following him around like puppies. They come to him for advice in everything(minus girls) and often show him videos of their latest stunts. In their eyes Gordon can do no wrong.

Claudia: The twins are a bit weary of her and her bees. Although they do try to be nice to her, just to shove it in Gaige's face since he told them she was adopted. They once thought that like her, they were also adopted but they've learned that they aren't. They are also really jealous of her bike and constantly trying to find a way to take it for a joyride.

Gaige: If the twins had to pick a siblings they liked the least, it would probably be Gaige. Not only does he take advantage of their dare weakness, but they feel like he's always causing conflict. And that goes against their happy-go-lucky attitude. They blame a lot on Gaige. Also, they stick up for Savvy when he says she's a brat. Still, they are very jealous of his musical ability.

Katy: They like Katy, even after she held a grudge about her stupid bird for so long. Instead of being jealous of her singing, they love it and always ask her to sing for them, more so when they were little. They enjoy her tomboyishness and her wings. The two are always trying to make her laugh.

Lany: The twins are often trying to get Lany out of her quiet shell. Although she doesn't annoy them exactly, but sometimes they don't understand her. And sometimes when trying to make her laugh, they either confuse or offend her by accident.

Kailin: The twins love her outgoing nature. And although they sometimes compete with her to be the center of attention or the clown, it's all in good fun. They join over their fear of spiders, but the twins are still trying to convince her that rats, and all rodents, are just at cute if not cuter than puppies and kittens. Although she blamed them for Albert, the birds, death they don't hold it against her...too much.

Savvy: The twins try so hard to be older brothers to their only younger sibling. Although the aren't the best to go to for advice, they twins stick up for her again everyone (siblings or otherwise). Although the twins try to take advantage of her gullible nature, since they are fairly gullible themselves they are usually just passing on something that an older sibling did to them at one point.

[Lany Bishop]

Devlin: Lany looks up to Devlin as the oldest member of the family (besides their parents, of course). Whenever they have a mass family gathering, she can usually be found sticking to his side, even as a little girl. She would always hand draw the birthday card she'd give him, even though she's not particularly talented in art.

Zach: Lany doesn't communicate much with Zach. She sometimes sees him moping around, but never knows what to do about it...though she thinks climbing about on the wall ought to be fun.

Aurora: Aurora is motherly and open, and sometimes Lany talks to her about feminine issues, being the oldest female of the siblings. Still, she remains shy towards her, and usually doesn't initiate anything unless approached.

Gordon: Lany doesn't know much about Gordon. He always seems so busy with school. They've always been cordial with each other, though, and she knows she can rely on him for help.

Claudia: Lany had always been quite taken with Claudia ever since she was adopted into the family. She would bring her flowers and other things she'd picked up as a child. As they grew older, though, it seemed more and more that Claudia grew frustrated with her quiet nature, but any encouragement to break out of her shell resulted in a regression.

Gaige: She likes Gaige a lot. She is always vying for his attention, since they get along and they seem similar in a lot of respects. Gaige is also a big source of frustration for her, though, because she always feels like he spends more time with Katy. This can make her act like a jealous, petulant child. Sometimes, she will slip a home made lunch into his backpack when he leaves for school.

Katy: Katy is the only sibling in the family with whom she seems to have a true rivalry with. Not only does Katy's singing wake her up in the morning, she always thinks that Katy is better friends with Gaige. Lany can be quite snippy and childish towards Katy, while she is normally mild-mannered and docile.

John & Jacob: The twins are too high-energy for her to keep up with. They're loud, and Lany prefers quiet. They're extroverted, she's introverted. Though they are probably just joking around, Lany mistakes it as them being mean-spirited towards her.

Kailin: Lany often thinks of herself as younger than Kailin, because she's much more outgoing than herself. Lany might spend the most time with Kailin, because they are roughly of the same age.

Savvy: It's hard to keep up with Savvy, but as the youngest, Lany tries to remain open and caring towards her. Sometimes her loud nature can grate on her, but for the most part, she finds Savvy funny, and engaging.

Savvy's family rundown:

Devlin - Most of the family accuses her of having Dev in her pocket, and sometimes that's true, but it can't be proved that often. If her parents or other siblings won't let her do something, or get something, she goes to Devvy. If he won't do it, she'll pout and sulk and curse at him, but will get over it pretty quickly. If he tells her something she doesn't want to hear, or refuses to do something she really really wants, she will have a total tantrum and throw things, and he'll kind of stand there and take it as she gets more and more upset, and then hug her when she (inevitably) breaks into tears. As she gets older, she's starting to realize this, and sometimes feels guilty, cause he's such a saint for being so patient and putting up with her. She always feels bad after getting mad at him.

Zach - Zach is Savvy's favorite sibling, but she won't tell anyone that. Most of their siblings assume Devlin is her favorite, but she feels really close to Zach. When she was younger, she used to sneak into his room when she had nightmares and sleep in a chair in his room, and she'll still sneak over there if she can't sleep, and then sneak back in the morning. Not many of her siblings know she does this, if any. She will lie to her parents and say she's going out with friends or going to the mall, or will just leave randomly, and will take the bus to Zach's apartment if she misses him, or feels lost or upset and it goes deeper than something she's willing to discuss with Roy (Aurora) or Devvy. She'll lie and tell him that their parents know where she is, thinking they don't, but if they ever call Zach he'd tell them she was there, just so they know she's safe. She likes to sit in his room while he's writing and just listen to music with him. He's the one person she knows won't be all disappointed in her if she does something that goes beyond normal stupidity, and will understand that things happen and that she's upset about it, and won't lecture her on it.

Aurora - Savvy calls her Roy because she couldn't pronounce the two R's after each other when she was younger, and refused to stop calling her that even once she could. She goes to her for any sort of girl problem, including friendships and relationships (though Roy isn't much help with the latter, mostly providing her with platitudes). When Aura gives her advice she doesn't want to hear, or points out that she's doing something wrong, she will storm out of the room grumbling and will go sulk, but isn't as violent as she is with Devvy. She feels bad for what she puts Roy though, so she will also go out of her way to hug her (awkwardly) when she thinks she might be making her angry, and will always make sure Aura gets an awesome christmas/birthday gift.

Gordon - Savvy admires him for his success and determination in sports, but doesn't really trust him for advice on anything beyond fitness. He is the comedic relief in her view of the family, but she still strives for him to notice her and commend her. She joined track because of him, and will often ask track and training/fitness related questions just to remind him that, hey, she's like him, she is doing sports, he should be proud. She sees him as another kid, and doesn't really comprehend that he is out saving lives.

Claudia - Savvy so desperately wants Claud's affection. She had been awkwardly stilted around her for years because of what she'd been told as a kid (from ages 4-8 she didn't hug Claudia, and would stare blankly at her a lot), until she realized at 9 that that was stupid. Wanting to make amends, she developed an interest in clothes and let Claudia dress her however she wanted. She still feels a swell of pride whenever Claud says she looks nice, and will ask for outfit advice. Her interactions are shadowed by Savvy's shame and guilt over having treated Claud as anything less than her sister. She protests that she is so totally not scared of riding on Claudia's motorbike, but kind of is.

Gaige - Gaige makes it so hard for her. She wants so much for him to love her (and treat her as such), but he tends to be prickly or distant to her. To his face, she is either indifferent or annoyed when he calls her a brat or ignores her, but she's actually really upset about it. She hasn't yet admitted this to any of her other siblings, not as more than a whining "Gaige is being a jerk," but has considered telling Zach. She likes Gaige's music, and tells him that often, but doesn't get much of a response.

Katy - Savvy is always very bubbly to Katy, attempting to match her attitude when she is upbeat, but Katy often seems somehow disconnected from her. Savvy doesn't know why this is, as she's always very eager to support her in anything she does and tries to be a good listener, asking about what Katy is up to frequently. She doesn't understand that Katy finds this vastly annoying. She's also a little scared of Katy when Katy is in a down-swing, and will avoid her at all costs. She doesn't understand why Katy is like that, and she can be very hurt by anything mean that Katy says to her. Because of Katy, Savvy took an interest in theater, and she makes a point to play her musical soundtracks especially loudly, and sing songs from Broadway shows, in an attempt to force a connection between them. This is also very annoying.

Lany - Lany's shyness confuses Savvy. Because Lany isn't much of a talked, Savvy feels like she can't connect to Lany, no matter how hard she tries. Sometimes she feels like she's walking on eggshells around Lany, trying to keep from being too loud or rambunctious. She is proud of herself when she can get Lany to smile, though. She does appreciate Lany's ability to be quiet, too, and is sometimes able to be quiet and just sit alongside, reading or thinking, and not get in the way. Still, she doesn't feel she can really confide in Lany, even if they can peacefully cohabitate (which is more than can be said for some of her siblings).

Kailin - Savvy is conflicted about Kailin. She feels like Kailin probably hates her (though she isn't sure why), and yet Kailin was the first to come after her when she (stupidly) attempted to force her powers to manifest by jumping into a freezing lake when she was 11. She feels meek around Kailin, and wishes she weren't because she admires how social and outgoing Kailin is with everyone (except Savvy, who usually gets the cold shoulder). Kailin, Gaige, and Katy are the people who cause her the most emotional distress.

JJ - Savvy's relationship with the twins is the most conventional, since they are closest in age. And by conventional, it is the typical hot/cold relationship a girl might have with a brother who is just a year ahead of her in school. Frequently, her teachers - while having endured several Bishops - have been most recently subjected to the twins, and are made a little wary by another Bishop after that experience. When she's in a good mood, or the twins are especially sunny, she will become the third in their shenanigans and will act as lookout, or find help if they get in trouble (aka go get Devlin). Her opinion is if you can't beat 'em, join 'em, so she may choose to join in if they seem like they're going to be especially annoying, or she is going to be forced to be with them for a long time (if they're in the same car on the way to the vacation house, she will gladly join in with them in any sort of annoying entertainment - though she prefers sing-alongs and reciting inappropriate limericks or stories). When she is in a bad mood, they are the last people she wants to see, and she will shout and slam doors if they try to annoy her. She has, on multiple occasions, fallen prey to their tricks. Sometimes she doesn't even realize it, like when they tell her she should do something and it makes her look ridiculous, but they tell her it did whatever they claimed it would do. Other times she will get embarrassed and mad, once she realizes she's been fooled.

[Kailin Bishop]

Devlin: Years of being taken care of by Devlin has her viewing him more as a father figure than a brother, since her own father was relatively absent from her life. There were moments where he would dress up in princess costumes just to cheer her up, and then proceed to have a tea party with Kailin on request. The minute Devlin moved out, she was devastated. Really, any time she is in emotional distress, she typically hops on a bus to Devlin's, in hope he can lend her a comforting and reliable ear.

Zach: Out of all her siblings, she finds she is the most distant with Zach. Their personalities are completely opposite, and she teases him quite a bit about it. Sometimes she wishes she could be close to him, but she realizes that no matter how hard she tries, they will never have much in common. It's a depressing realization considering Kailin loves to make other's happy, but she knows when she can and cannot mend a relationship. Because of this, she typically stays away from him.

Aurora:Honestly, most of the time, she has to wonder why her other siblings don't really like Rory. Kailin is constantly getting attention from Aurora, and complimented on her cleanliness which causes Kailin to swell with pride. There are times where she can go a bit too far with her role, though, when Rory begins to try and tell her what is right and what is wrong, but that isn't often. Aurora is reliable and caring, and in Kailin's eyes, couldn't possibly be this annoying older sibling that everyone makes her out to be.

Gordon: Gordon is an interesting one, to say the least. He is highly athletic, which Kailin loves and will sometimes go on a jog or something with him, but he is also incredibly impatient. She has forgiven him for pushing her face first into her wagon, which caused a nasty scar on her face, but she still can't help but be a bit cautious around him. Because of her keen eye with body language, she can typically tell when she can approach him, but she doesn't usually try to should she be able to help it.

Claudia: Kailin has never seen Claudia as anything but a sister, even when the older kids were telling her she was not a part of the family. Between the two, they hold a love of fashion and dancing, she finds herself eagerly listening to what she has to say. Getting little 'makeovers' from Claudia is typically what she asks for from her sister on her birthday, and she is completely content with being around her.

Gaige: Kailin is not too fond of Gaige, as he was a bit distant from her which resulted in some tension between the two. She is constantly bickering with him, but at the end of the day, Kailin really wished they were closer. As a girl, she would sometimes sit by the basement door and listen to him play. Devlin sometimes found her slumped up against the wall, asleep, and had to take her back to her room. Away from each other, Kailin knows that Gaige cares, but it hurts a bit knowing that together, they are no safer than fire and gasoline.

Katy: There really isn't much to say about Katy. Katy took more of a liking towards the twins instead of her, but it isn't really a problem for Kailin. They have some good days, and they have some bad. Kailin highly doubts she will ever be incredibly close with Katy. It's a relationship where neither of them have much of a strong anything towards each other.

Lany: Kailin finds Lany to be absolutely adorable, and tries to gently push her out of her shell. She finds Lany hanging around her quite a bit since they are closest in age, and because of this, she has figured out when she is becoming uncomfortable with her advances to try and get her a bit more extroverted. Of course, they typically don't work, but she is content with having Lany around. They aren't exactly close, but her favorite past time with Lany is sitting on the couch and watching Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron every so often, since she knows how much Lany loves horses.

John & Jacob: The twins are an absolute riot in her eyes. They are the annoy little bunch, always giving her hell, but it is all in good fun. She enjoys watching them get under her older sibling's skin, but is not afraid to get them into a bit of trouble herself. For example, when she blamed Albert(Katy's bird)'s death on them, which caused some tension between Katy and the twins for a while. The only real issue she has with them is when they try and bring rats and other rodents to her, in hopes to show her that they are just as 'cute' as other animals. No. Just no.

Savvy: Kailin is jealous of Savvy in every way she can think of. Most of her siblings dote on her as if she is the sweetest thing in the world, and Kailin remembers when that used to be her. It doesn't matter if it wasn't technically her fault that she was the youngest, Kailin doesn't care much. Of course, Kales doesn't hate Savvy, proving that fact when she saved her younger sister from a freezing cold lake when she was 13. But there is just a bitterness of her lost 'baby girl' title. Kailin doesn't know if there will ever be a strong relationship between Savannah and herself, nor does she think she wants one.

More random facts:

- Savvy loves to do her nails. She doesn't really take care of her home manicures, though, but that's okay because she'll get bored of them pretty quickly and change it up to something else.

- Savvy's romantic relationship pattern tends to go thusly: 1. Meet/crush on cute boy, 2. Awkwardly flirt with cute boy, 3. Invite cute boy to hang out sometime, 4. Introduce cute boy to siblings, 5. Watch cute boy become increasingly awkward, 6. Notice cute boy becoming increasingly distant, or just stop talking to her altogether, 7. Go to Dev and sob about how no one will ever love her, 8. 3-14 days later repeat. Frequently it doesn't go further than step 2, if a new crush replaces the old. And frequently her crushes are unrequited and/or undisclosed because she tends to crush on her siblings' friends.

- She has no real sense of direction or purpose because she has been so heavily influenced by others that she isn't sure what she's doing for herself and what she's doing for other people

- (not a fact, just a plotting idea) At some point, Zach needs to sit her down and tell her that it's okay if not everyone likes her.

- She is incredibly overemotional, but hides it by saying she's doing her homework when she's really busy talking to Eri about how miserable she is. There are definitely certain times of the month when Savvy suddenly seems to have more homework than usual.

- Savvy has absolutely no concept of intimacy beyond second base. She knows that something happens, and it involves certain areas of the body, but she hasn't yet been to the Talk and her parents assumed her siblings had told her, when they hadn't. Luckily, she's never been able to actually establish a relationship, so intimacy has never come up. She is, however, quite sexually repressed because of this, which probably contributes to how easily she crushes on people.

[Gordon Bishop]

Gordon's relationships with his siblings:

Devo: Gordon has, ans always will, looked up to and admired Devlin. He tries to be as older brothery as possible in an attempt to be like Devlin, but of course, his own personality often gets in the way of that. He enjoys talking to Devlin about inconsequential things, but he keeps the bigger things to himself because he doesn't want to trouble Devlin. They have a mutual appreciation for each other's job.

Zachary: As much as he likes his older brother, he likes teasing him a lot too. Mostly about how much he doesn't talk and his powers and his non athleticism. He doesn't really mean any of this seriously though, and if he actually does manage to offend him, he tries his best to repair the damage later. He actually thinks its pretty cool that Zach does creative things because he feels that that is something he could never do.

Rory: Aurora is his directly older sister, and the two are pretty tight. He likes her because she is everything he is not. She is patient and really good at giving advice (Well, except for relationships, which isn't something Gabby really needs a guide to) and willing to help anyone out. When he was younger, he never left Rory's side. He would help her out in the kitchen often (or at least try, he can't cook for anything).

Clau-clau: Gordon never really got all the friction between Claudia and some of the other Bishops. I mean, he knew she was adopted, but he legitimately did not care. He doesn't treat her any differently than the rest of his siblings, and talks to her and hugs her often. Well, except for when she has bees out. Gordon is allergic to bees, and deathly afraid of them.

Gaige: The way he treats Gaige is much the same way that he treats Zach
ary. He admires his artistic talent, but often tries to talk to Gaige which really doesn't end up doing much for their relationship. For the most recent Christmas, Gordon bought Gaige a brand new guitar to make up for how annoying he can sometimes be to him.

Kitty: Even though he loves the twins to no end, and is happy that Savannah is trying her best to be athletic, Katy is his favorite. This is mostly because he is closest to her in a more meaningful way. He feels that Katy is his responsibility as an older brother and she is one of the only people that can get Gordon to wait on them. Even though his advice is usually no good, he tries his best to help Katy be happy. He tries to encourage her to eat more and also to get some exercise in so she can build muscle and use her wings more easily.

Lany: Gordon talks to Lany as often as he talks to all his other siblings, which is to say, a lot. They have a pretty good relationship.

Kailin: Gordon deeply regrets pushing Kailin into a wagon when they were younger. He feels like such a jerk around her. He's really sad that she tries to avoid him, and he tries to make up for this distance by getting her really awesome presents.

Twoferone: Gordon thinks JJ is adorable. He loves that they try to live up to his example, and enjoys being admired by them. He likes giving them advice and hands it out freely to them.

Annie: Gordon really likes Annie. She's also trying to impress him by doing all sorts of athletics. Well, Gordon is proud of her, but not necessarily impressed. He does, however, enjoy having another athletic Bishop in the family, even if she is only two thirds his age.

The Bishop home is expansive, and includes a small guest house in the front, a tool/gardening shed in the back, and a treehouse large enough to fit seven adults. There are ten bedrooms: the master bedroom, Devlin's old room (now Claudia's), Zach's old room (now storage), Aurora's, Gordon's, Gaige's in the basement (previously JJ's), Katy's (previously with Claudia), Lany and Kailin's in the attic, Jonathan and Jacob's (previously Gaige's), and Savvy's (converted from an office). There are several bathrooms, an overstocked kitchen, a large dining room, a basement den, a living room twice the average size, and an assortment of other rooms. There is a large drive-in garage, a small front yard on one side of a wooden fence, and a larger back yard that continues into the woods.
