Warning: Ice (Teagan)

So, this is it. Looks pretty crappy to me, but atleast it's an actual ice hockey rink and not a disco floor that also happens to be kind of slippery. It's just small. And it smells kinda funny, especially in the shoes. Eurgh...

That was what was going through Zac's head as he walked out onto the ice that was the ice rink, just acting like it was a carpet. Unfortunately his partner wasn't as stable. She wasn't bad (she didn't actually fall over when getting onto the ice) but she hadn't been doing ice skating since she was three, so it made sense. Or maybe she had, and she's just kind of terrible.

The primary objective for that session was to make sure Teagan could skate. He had promised to teach her ice hockey, and being able to stay upright is key in most sports. Apart from the limbo.

"Why the hell is ice skating so much harder than rollerblading?" Teagan complained as she stepped carefully onto the ice, grabbing onto the edge of the rink to steady herself. Why had she allowed Zac to convince her to go ice skating? She was just fine with street hockey and rollerblading, she didn't need to add ice to the mix. But it wasn't as if there was a street hockey team in Pilot Ridge and she really wanted to petition for an ice hockey team at Hammel. She just had to find enough people to want to do it. Not to mention she was debating on joining the football team and kicking ass.

She skated out towards him, holding her arms out to steady herself. Blonde kinky curls were hanging in her face and she slowly moved one arm to her face to move the hair, slightly getting off balance. She hated appearing vulnerable and Zac was making it to easy. She sucked at this, but that didn't mean that she was going to give up on it. She'd get just as good as he was in no time. She'd make sure of it.

Zac grinned as Teagan flailed slightly. He skated over to her, twirling slightly to show off. He held onto her arm to try and steady her. It worked and they managed to get to the middle without too much slipping. When they got the very center, Zac let go of Teagan and skated backwards slightly.

"First and foremost: balance. If you're gonna skate, then balance is key. I know you do roller hockey, but there isn't any friction on ice - or atleast hardly any - so it's gonna be a bit trickier. Why don't you try skating round in a circle just here for a bit, then I'll be here if you fall? The technique should be pretty much the same." He smiled, trying to be reassuring.

"I'll wipe that grin right off of your face, Stanson," Teagan said, sticking her tongue out at him while she fought to keep her balance. She wasn't one to give up, so no matter how many times she fell on her butt, she'd keep getting up until she could skate perfectly.

When they got to center ice, she held out her arms when he let go of her, managing to keep her balance. "Yeah, I got that from the constant feeling like I was going to fall. Thanks Sherlock," she said sarcastically with a roll of her eyes. But he was right. It was trickier than being on roller blades. There was some balance involved, but not like this. She nodded at him and slowly began to move to skate around in a circle, slowly making circles in the ice around Zac. "How long have you been playing hockey?" she asked. Sometimes she found it was almost easier to succeed at something when she wasn't concentrating too hard on it and talking to him might help.
