Tattooed Cutie (Lucy)

Another day, another time after classes for the twins to bust out of being indoors and find some mischief to get into. Video camera in hand, Skye led the way as they bumped into random people and got snippets of awesome footage before zooming off again to their next target.

"Oh look, it's that Lucy chick!" Forrest whispered in a hushed voice to his brother, pointing some distance away to the tattooed girl.

"Aw man, she's hot," Skye gushed back, and they looked at each other, grinning.

"You thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Duh."

They ran off in her direction, camera aimed and ready for whatever might come their way. They knew she wasn't always the friendliest of people, and this wouldn't be the first time they would be bugging her and trying to get some awesome footage.

"Lucy-loo~!" Skye called out as Forrest whistled at her when they got within hearing distance, waving an energetic hand.

"How's about you let us get some hot footage of those tats, yeah?"

"Yeah, c'mon, gorgeous, let's see 'em!"

They were both grinning madly, ready to bolt if she seemed hostile.

Lucy liked to mind her own business. Because she liked it when other people did the same. Though truthfully, her business was relatively boring and uninteresting to unrelated parties. For the most part she walked with the intention of heading back from the art room after picking up the supplies she'd left behind - nothing substantial, just an important brush between her fingers and a tube of new paint in her back pocket.

She felt her eyebrow twitch (read: how anime) when someone called out to her. Well, it definitely wasn't Carter - he had his own nickname that bugged the shit out of her. It was those twins. Whatever their names were.

And they were pointing a lens at her. She pressed her free palm to her forehead briefly. "Jesus fucking christ."

Looking down at her left arm, she briefly studied its inhabitants and their curious expressions. "What's that?" She asked them, looking at them as they seemingly glanced up at her. "Oh, they all said; fuck off tiny shithead twincest homos." Lucy offered a small shrug in tandem with her amused grin, "Sorry. Not very hospitable today, I guess."

The two paused slightly as Lucy seemed to talk to her tattoos, expressions clearly curious at the sight. "What's her ability again?" Skye wondered in a hushed whisper.

"You know as well as I do."

"I dunno."

"Exactly."

It was still weird, getting used to syncing; it was sort of like one person talking t themselves, but since they weren't completely the same person, they still kept up conversations with each other out of habit.

And then Lucy was speaking again, and they turned their eager eyes back to her, smiles still in place. Her words were clearly far from pleasant, but the boys both giggled as though she had made the funniest joke in the world.

"You're funny, Lucy-loo."

"But ew, twincest! No thanks."

"C'mon, we'll, uh... We'll buy ya somethin' nice!"

Skye perked the video camera up again, and Forrest darted a little closer to get a better look at the tattoo she had been talking to. "Soooo cool," he breathed. "We should get tats someday, Skye!"

"Pff, you'd faint at the sight of a needle."

"Nu-uh!"

Lucy ran her hand along her face. It was like a teenage, stupid version of the Lutece twins. They still weren't the worst people she'd been forced to deal with; nor were they the first to laugh at the things she said. Truthfully, it was half the reason she said them.

"Hey, you could get a forest and you could get a sky. That way no one would ever forget which one's which." She pointed out, though they had their differences. Mainly the hair. The hair was how she could tell which was which.

Rather than outrightly stopping, she decided to keep walking. If they followed, they followed. "Do you guys ever talk less so someone can actually get a word in?" Lucy asked, because it was the one thing she never understood. Were power-twins always supposed to be so sporadically energetic, or were these two just a pick of the ever growing numbers?

"Hmm, not a bad idea," Forrest hummed, imagining getting a couple of trees tattooed along his forearm. "I might just do that!"

Skye smacked his forehead. "I still don't think you or I could stand getting one. You know how we are with needles, idjit."

Forrest just pouted a bit, turning back to Lucy to see that she was starting to walk away. Like loyal little puppies, they trailed after her, Skye still aiming the camera ready to capture any potential great footage.

"Nope-"

"Not usually-"

"Unless it's a very pretty girl or handsome boy that asks us to shut up." Skye smirked. They both fell silent for a moment, purposefully proving their point.

But it was only so long that they could keep it up. "So whatcha doin' on a nice day like today, gorgeous?" Skye asked, sidling up closer to her. "Got any plans later?"

Forrest held his breath, eagerly awaiting the girl's reply.

Of course they followed as they shared banter. She figured they would, anyway. So she wasn't overtly annoyed by it. Though, when she was moving she did realise that it sort of felt like a pair of flies buzzing around her insistently. Swatting them never worked.

They probably wouldn't like being punched in the face.

Her tattoos made a point of glancing at the camera lense, the lion's mane seemed to twist and twirl in the wind. He even offered a silent yawn; opening his mouth to bare teeth in the act before closing it shortly after and licking his ink chops.

"Ah, halfmo twins." Lucy denoted from the statement. "Just what's been missing in my life."

Lucy shrugged her shoulders at the question. The silence was short lived. And danm, it'd been nice. "I dunno, nothing special." She admitted, wondering if she should have made something up. They probably would have sought to crash it anyway. "What about you, gorgeous-squared? Got plans to scale the dorm building and film me from the window of my bedroom?"

The twins were kind of used to being 'swatted' away, so to speak. A lot of people didn't put up with them as well as Lucy was, and it probably wouldn't be the first time either of them had been jabbed at.

Nevertheless, they appreciated her not punching them.

"Whoaa," Forrest breathed, as Skye zoomed in on the lion. "Your ability is so cool, Lucy-loo." Whatever it was, exactly.

"Can you, like, put tattoos on people or anything?" the blonde had to inquire. "'Cause I could totally rock a huge eagle on my chest," he added with a devilish grin and a puff of his narrow chest.

"Half-"

"-Mo?"

"Oh!" Forrest exclaimed a second later. "Well, yeah. We're not too particular about who to rub our affections on."

Skye nodded affirmatively, sidling up closer to Lucy again. Though, at her reply to their questions, they gave her identical grins of surprise and pride. "Gorgeous-squared? We could get used to that."

"Well, we didn't really have any plans, but if you're not doing anything, we could treat ya to dinner or something!" Her compliment (it had been a compliment, right?) only made them bolder.

"And nah, we wouldn't do thaaat. We don't invade people's privacy that much.... Usually."

"Huh. Maybe he likes you." Lucy replied simply. Or maybe she did. She wouldn't answer that either way.

Could she put tattoos on people? She mused briefly on the thought - it was something she'd wondered about before. "Probably. Or I could just draw it on you, so long as you don't mind me touching you." She pointed out, the corner of her mouth curling slightly into an amused grin.

Glad they caught onto that she was saying, Lucy simply offered a satisfied nod. Halfmo. It was a thing, and it was going to catch on.

"I'm sure you could." Lucy replied. Nicknames were fun, weren't they? Unless they were the type these two had given her.

Stopping in her tracks, Lucy stared the two of them down - the only movement she was offering was the occasional twist of a paint brush handle between her fingers. Because it gave her something to do. "...Are you asking me out?" She Australian asked, somewhat bewildered in her tone of voice.

"Really?" Forrest squeaked excitedly, wondering if she was being serious. Whatever, it was still super cool and great film!

"Of course we don't mind you touching us!" Skye responded with an astounded blink. "Especially if we could get an awesome drawing on us at the same time!" Tattoos, even temporary, by a gorgeous Australian girl would be most welcome indeed.

"Yeah, I'm sure you could make us look totally badass like you," Forrest nodded eagerly. They hadn't really seen her draw before, but it had to be awesome, right?

They both nodded as she spoke again. "Feel free to call us that whenever you want," Skye told her cheekily. Like they needed any extra ego boost.

Stopping when she did, they blinked innocently at her at the same time, giving their most puppy-eyed expressions. When she asked for confirmation, they looked at each other and shrugged. "Yeah, I think we are," Forrest grinned, looking back at Lucy.

"So what do you say? Interested?"

"If not, we'd be happy to just hang and pretend we didn't ask anything."

"I'll keep that in mind." Lucy replied with a grin. She loved when nicknames got reactions.

It was a little confusing to see that even they weren't sure what they were asking for. Lucy fiddled with the brush in her hands as she waited. No way, this was too weird. Right? That was a hard thought to process, and a hard question to answer.

"Well I'll be damned." She replied, raising the brush handle and tapping it against her cheek.

After a thoughtful amount of time mulling over the seriousness of the proposition, the Australian looped her fingers behind her back. "Maybe. That depends..." She started, switching her gaze between them. She wasn't really sure who to focus on. "What've you got in mind?"

The twins had never really... Okay yeah, they had asked girls and boys out plenty of times, but mostly with some sort of joking tone to their voice in case the other party voiced disinterest (which, really, was usually the case). So it surprised them that Lucy was taking it somewhat seriously.

Well I'll be damned. They both giggled nervously at that, unsure of how to take it.

They waited anxiously as she seemed to think it over, and immediately looked at each other at the question. What did they have in mind?

Dinner, dinner... Where did people take girls on dinner dates? "How do you feel about Italian?" Forrest finally asked, thinking that was the classic. Right?

"I think there's an art show going on at the museum downtown too...?" Skye added. Lucy seemed like the artistic type, after all - maybe she would be interested in that? "If that's up your alley."

"If not, we can work with what you would want to do," Forrest chimed in, all too eager to appeal to the girl. And both probably sounding desperate at the same time.

To be honest, Lucy never really... Well, she just didn't get gestalts. She never really hung out with them. She had enough twins in her life quota as it was, but she'd always been curious. And they didn't always irritate the shit out of her, so they had that going for them. She was considering.

"It's in the name. I think." Lucy replied, the corner of her mouth twitching into a small grin. Serrano was some kind of European descent, apparently. "I like it."

But hey, at least the Australian could appreciate the effort they were going to. Maybe they had been joking, and she'd forced them to think about it seriously? Maybe they were always being serious? "Look at you two, though." She said, crinkling her nose at the strange cuteness they were displaying. After a quick few moments to mull the whole thing over, she shrugged her shoulders.

"Okay, sweet. We'll hang out soon." she finally denoted, taking a small step away from them in her original direction. "Eighty-six the museum and sub in a trip to the arcade." And with that, Lucy turned and started walking. But she stopped moments later and looked back, "Oi, bring quarters." Pause. "Quarters?" Lucy asked. That's what they used, right? "Yeah, quarters."

Bingo! Score one for the dinner plan. Or at least, they hoped. Lucy was a little hard to read, and the twins had never been great at reading people in the first place. If they were, they might actually realize when someone had no interest whatsoever in them.

Look at us? Forrest and Skye looked at each other, then back to Lucy, shrugging simultaneously. Was this good? Was she complimenting them? Or was that adorable nose wrinkle a bad sign? Urgh, girls!!!!

But they both gave relieved grins as she finally, clearly agreed. "Great! Skye chirped, clapping his hands together and wringing them excitedly. Forrest beamed, holding his arms more calmly behind his back. "Oh, definitely the arcade!"

That was a great idea! Why hadn't they thought of that? Sounded way more fun than some stuffy art museum anyway! "We'll bring enough to play all night," Forrest assured her.

Skye gave an impish wink. "Yeah, get ready to get your cute little butt kicked, gorgeous!" he added, both of them waving as she walked off. He furrowed his brow. "Was that okay to say?"

"Dunno. But it's not my fault if she kicks our butts."
