The BasicsName: Alexander Terrence Rothwell
Nicknames: He prefers to be called Alex
Age: 16
Orientation: Homosexual
Desired Rank/Job: Student
Powers: Retrocognition
Alexander has the ability to see the past connected to objects and people, by seeing certain memories attached to them. As he is still young, he hasn't even come close to mastering his abilities. Through a few years of coming to understand his ability, he can ignore it most of the time.
When his powers are in action, just touching and object or a person will send of a cascade of sensations, thoughts, and memories tied to specific times and locations into his mind. They tear into him like hands looking for a foothold back into the present. Words, images, people, all calling out to him from a specific place. When things are new, he hardly has trouble with them. Maybe a flash of a scene of a factory or a hospital, that is it. When it comes to used things, antiques (especially antique furniture), and people with a lot of messy history, things get really bad for Alex. The older something is, the more things have the chance to smash into him.
His episodes will come and go, depending on what he keeps in contact with. If he touches something new and draws a memory, he hardly feels dazed. You put him in a museum though, and he is usually overwhelmed by the first thing he touches, especially antique furniture and silverware. When he becomes overwhelmed he will experience severe migraines, usually resulting in him blacking out, or unable to function for the rest of the day, until he is able to escape the pain under a drug induced slumber. If he experiences too many 'new item flashes' or a series of slightly worse flashes, the same migraines will plague him. The severity of the migraine will depend on the amount of information he is overwhelmed with in a day.
Like most retrocognition cases, he will sometimes forget details about his own past. During his most overwhelmed moments, it usually takes him a few days to recover his own identity out of all the others that tried to force themselves in his mind.

Eye Color: Grey
Any Piercings? Nope
Any Tattoos? No way!
Any Scars? Unless migraines leave brain scars, no.
General Appearance:
Alex can be described as a pretty decent looking guy. His hair is a middle shade of brown that is almost always chaotically placed, sometimes in a good way, and sometimes in a way that has no perceivable order. He has a full face, lacking accented and more angular features of his older male peers. His eyes are a cool and even steel grey, that sometimes hide the warmth hidden behind the icy color. A few very tiny freckles will sparsely dot his face during the middle of summer, but any other time they are non-existent.
He is of average height, standing in at 5"7. Though at a height like this at Hammel, he can appear short to a lot of people, his fuller frame makes up for it, still giving him something to work with when it comes to muscle. Though he is shorter than other guys, his muscles do not make him appear stocky.
He dresses in pretty much anything that looks good on him. He is really fond of more natural colors. Earthy browns, forest greens, watery blues, and the like. He likes showing his arms, but he is very fond of jackets and hoodies that go along with his shirts. Because of this he can be found in light jackets and hoodies most of the time.
Personality:
If anything, Alex's most distinct trait would be his insatiable curiosity. Rumors, stories, and a slew of other things are always leading him around from one place to another. One would think that his ability has a lot to do with such a profound trait. If you think this, you are partly true. While he will sometimes use his ability to get at something hidden within the past, this is a rare occurrence. He values his lack of migraines more than he values knowing about something. When he hears something that he just has to know about, he will search it out until he finds it, or eventually gives up. This can also work against him, as being a bit too curious can sometimes lead to him being a bit too nosy in other peoples affairs, which can offend some people.
Alex values peace and specific lacks of outright drama. Though he will always be curious over a rumor, if it is a vicious one, or just plain standoffish, he will go out of his way to ignore it. Though curious, he is only confrontational in his questions. He does not like making enemies, and causing unwanted hurt feelings.
He is a kind person. From where he came from, kindness and generosity is what keeps him afloat for as long as he has been able to remember things. Because of this, he values this trait over many other things, in himself and others. Always trying to be at his kindness, he will often knock himself if he hurts someone, or comes off a bit too mean when found in a confrontation. In other people, he will always look for kindness first. When it is not always apparent at first, he will try and dig in and find it for himself.
Though he likes being kind, he is a typical teenager. With emotions comes mood swings. He can get annoyed easily on some occasions, if he is mad, then someone must have royally done something wrong. When annoyed, it is usually for a good reason, to him. If someone is rude, or snide, or jerky, he will either reflect their attitude right back at them or try so hard to be nice it comes off as sickly sweet and fake.
Alex values family and friends. After being tossed around in foster homes from an early age, he really enjoys long lasting relationships with people he can depend on. He is less likely to become attached to someone who is flaky or flighty, which might hurt some budding relationships.Your VicesLikes:

Any Other Important People: Tommy Watts and Jack Nicklaus, his last two foster parents.HistoryAlexander was born in Houston Texas, on March 2nd 1997. His father, Tyler Rothwell, is an unemployed college dropout, often making his rounds with the vulnerable high school girls of his neighborhood. Drinking and partying since he was in high school, getting in trouble, and shirking his grades affected his life greatly. Often trying to recapture his days of high school partying, he would hang around town with younger people of his old high school standard. His mother, Tina Bansley, a junior in high school had fallen into a bad crowd, riding out failing grades through school and worsening her relationship with her parents.
The two of them, both hanging around the same group of people, hit it off instantly. Their one week relationship was based off of all the love and respect they could muster, of course none of it was real. When Tina became pregnant, a month into their relationship, Tyler split town, immediately interested in a community college on the other side of the state. Left alone with a baby grown inside of her, Tina could only hide her secret from her parents for so long. When her parents eventually caught on, they pushed their daughter to give her baby up into some sort of foster care, and when Alex was born, that is exactly what happened.
Alex's early years were happy enough, a baby growing up had little to worry about, parents or not. Life in a children's home wasn't a big issue. The staff were friendly enough, and he made a decent amount of friends during his toddler years. Education was something he received on the grounds, only allowed to leave on scheduled field trips. From that age, he caught on quickly that finding a family was something very important. Most of his peers lived and breathed their want for their own mom and dad, Alex eventually strived for that as well.
When alex was seven, he found himself brought into his first foster home. Veronica and Jimmy Reese were a lovely couple. Unable to have children of their own, they opened their home to children who needed care. He spent two years here, eventually growing from his toddler years with them. Swings with the economy and a few bad breaks on credit separated Alex from his foster parents, and soon enough he found himself moving to another home.
Samantha and Rex Zimiga were polar opposites of his first foster parents. His life there was violent, crowded, and short lived. There wasn't a lot of happy moments, and too much verbal abuse, and rough hands. Social workers moved him to a different home within a year. The next family he had moved to were on par with the last, if not worse. He spent another year in an abusive home before finally moving onto another foster home. Alex still doesn't like to think about it or talk about it.
At the age of eleven, he was brought into a foster home that would change his life around. Tommy and Jack were great dad's for the young discarded youth. They turned his life toward a right direction and urged him to do good in school. By then, Alexander was already confused by his sexual identity, and with the help of two loving and understanding parents he found out who he was, not bothered by it in the least. For the next two years, he spent a lot of time with his dad's, loving them like nothing else. They were a great family, and only one thing could have separated them, Alex being a meta.
It was an innocent trip to a museum, and it ended horrible. Alex, perplexed by a very fascinating statue, decided to ignore signs and touch the greek art. The following memories that slammed into him reduced him to a crumpled heap instantly. For days after his incident he couldn't remember who he was, and suffered migraines frequently. Tommy and Jack feared for the worst, some sort of brain tumor. But when Hammel Recruiters came to the hospital days later, they couldn't be happier. It was bittersweet, but they were glad Alex wasn't going to die. After a few sad goodbyes, Alex was removed from their care and sent to live at Hammel, at the age of thirteen.
Adjusting to a boarding school environment wasn't as hard for Alex. And having a stable environment for him to live in was a blessing above all others. He missed his dad's, but he was glad to be living in a stable place, with kids like him. The only thing he would grow to hate over the years were the constant slew of migraines he would suffer from his power. To this day he lives in a constant fear of accidentally touching something or someone that might overwhelm him.
In this recent year, he has gone from a burden of the state to living under the wing of a Hammel teacher, Hay-lin Mae. Only recently becoming her foster son, he has no idea how this will pan out.Roleplay ExampleJack Montoya, Susie Anne Clark, Patch DiazWhat About You?Name: Still the same as last time
