Just shopping for stuff...(finished)

Dawn was new here to Hammel so she wanted to look around. It didn't take her long to find out that she was in heaven. There were bakeries, tattoo places, coffee shops and even a theatre. Most people didn't see this side of her, they usually saw her in a nonchalant mood, not this way.

Dawn was actually skipping and humming as she got out of the little bakery. She had her hands full of shopping bags, all her usual stuff in it. She had chocolate (of every thing she could see) in one bag, in another were chips, cookies, more chocolate and one bottle of soda. The other one had so many paint brushes, paint tubes and paper that they had to double the bag. She was now staring at some place that sort of looked like Dollar General. She wondered if anybody here new of a place. She just went in without thinking, just to look around.

She basically used up all her money with buying so much chocolate and paint. She couldn't help it, those were the two things she cared about, besides cats. She missed Fluffy, that calico tabby cat was probably laying in her bed. She stopped and looked around for a bit. She couldn't remember ever looking at the name of the shop she was in so she wasn't sure where she was. Nonetheless she just looked around as people started looking at her.

Oriel did not take Phen with him this time to go shopping. Especially since last time had gone from normal, to good, to bad, to worse....not that Oriel had anything against Boo..... Actually, Oriel would be ashamed to admit how much he missed the little black kitten, but he knew what was going to happen...what was likely to happen. And yet he didn't stop it at the source, back when he could have prevented all the heartache. Now he felt like shit for getting Phoenix's hopes up. But Oriel just enjoyed seeing him smile so much, he couldn't help it!

Oriel heaved something between a grunt and a sigh as he skimmed through the cheap dollar store items. He needed to restock on stuff but....

Ugh...it was just really hard to concentrate, Oriel wasn't even sure what it was he wanted to buy and he hadn't even realized he'd been staring at the same red paddle ball for about 3 minutes....4 minutes?

Oriel shook his head and started off down the aisle, throwing the toy into his basket that also contained a number of other mismatched items including pain relievers, ointment, latex gloves, vet tape, a jump rope.....wow, cheap shopping at the dollar store, he actually got a lot more than at the convenience store. Which was great, because Oriel was nearly broke anyway.

However, Oriel wasn't paying attention to where he was going(concentration issues combined with out-of-his-element discomfort) and turned around the corner, stopping himself only barely before colliding into some red-headed chick from behind who was just standing there like a statue. Of course, the aisle was narrow and there was no way around her other than to shimmy around awkwardly, or simply shove her out of the way.

Oriel grunted again. "Oy...Hey!" He snapped a couple of times to get her attention, the thought of simply saying "excuse me" never even occurring to him.

At first she just paused and looked around the area she was in. Why was this place so small? She didn't get much of an answer before getting bumped into. This caused her to drop her bags, causing chocolate to come out. The good news was that they were wrapped, bad news was that there was a lot of it and she was lazy. She just looked at the chocolate poker faced before she looked at the guy who obviously didn't know manners.

She just looked at him first, checking him out. He looked hot too her, but she didn't want to flirt at the moment. Instead she just sighed. "Hey yourself." She then slowly looked at the chocolate. She was going to have to pick all of that up wasn't she? Maybe she could eat the chocolate instead? But then she would get a tummy ache. She then looked back at him.

"Who are you? Seen you at school before." Not that I give a crap. She was glad she left that part behind. But she wondered what he would have said if she said that. "I'm Dawn." She then sighed and bent down to pick up the chocolate and put it back in the bag that fell. "Chocolate..."

Oriel didn't know what he was more surprised by. The dramatic dropping of the bags this girl performed after barely being bumped into(Oriel had managed to stop before crashing), or the sheer amount of chocolate that had fallen onto the floor.

Wow this girl sure had a sweet tooth.

Like Oriel was one to talk.

The third surprise was the fact that she didn't immediately attack him for being rude. The fourth being that she was actually initiating conversation with a person who was a known bully and terrorizer. But apparently she didn't even know his name, so she must have missed the memo somewhere.

He sighed and put down his basket. "Oriel," he introduced himself without much resistance as he kneeled and started gathering the chocolate. The sooner she got her shit picked up, the sooner she'd get out of his way. But the small, depressed exclamation Dawn gave made it seem like she thought all was lost. Fuck, it wasn't the end of the world, just pick the shit up, it's still edible!

"It's just a floor, 'snot like it's ruined or nothing," Oriel said, lifting his eyes to send her a glare that was a few degrees warmer than it's usual frigid temperature.

Dawn was not a normal person, well her parents didn't think so. When there was a bully around people her age would freak out or cry, not her. She was the one who usually either picked on the bully or irritated them. The best way to irritate a bully was to either ignore them or not be bothered by them. She did both.

"Agreed. Nice name by the way, never heard of that before." She looked up and saw his glare. Aww cute...She just smiled at him and started putting the chocolate back in the bag. "I have a chocolate problem is all. We all have issues though.." She smirked wide at this and then noticed he was actually helping. "Thanks by the way, even if you are doing this so I will leave you alone."

She then stood up with all her bags and smiled at him once again. People in Georgia knew not to mess with her. Not because she was good at fighting, but because she was no fun to bully. She liked to play a sarcastic person when being bullied. Punch her and she will punch back. Verbally abuse her and well...she will do the same. "Pleasure to meet you by the way."

If we're talking about normal, then Oriel often did his best to snag that title and wear the crown proudly. But today he might win that crown for the sheer sake of not being a raging asshole and only being a sauntering asshole.

"Agreed. Nice name by the way, never heard of that before."

Is it horrible he actually appreciated the fact that she didn't immediately dive into making jokes about his name like so many others did? So many who thought that he hadn't heard any of them before. Didn't mean he liked her, but it was a plus in her favor.

"I have a chocolate problem is all. We all have issues though…Thanks by the way, even if you are doing this so I will leave you alone."

Oriel little glare and scowl hadn't left his face the whole while but they hardly lacked the intensity they usually had, when he was actually trying. But her words actually caught him off guard, as she so casually admitted her problem and called him out on his intentions. Normally, he would have made a big deal about her making assumptions(that just so happened to be true) without having all the facts. But Oriel wasn't really in the mood. "Yeah….'s easy, just picking shit up. Not like I'm gonna get an award for it or nothing." But at least there was appreciation, which was…..nice.

"Pleasure to meet you by the way."

There was a clear moment of shock in his eyes when Dawn said that. Oriel couldn't remember ever hearing someone say that to him before. His brow furrowed to give her an incredulous stare. "You're weird." Followed by snort and a glance to the floor as his lips curled into a half smile. Then he matched her eyes again, "It's cute."

She was expecting him to push her, shout or even walk off but he didn't. This bully was weird, was he even a bully? Dawn liked bullies for some unknown reason. She couldn't help the chuckle that came whenever he said something about not getting an award. Too her he did. She would have probably despised him forever and not care if he died if he just left without helping.

"Oh believe me, you have an award. It is just not noticeable to you right now." She knew she probably made know since right now but she didn't care, as always. She would probably get the award for biggest nonchalant person there ever was, she didn't know if she would take that award though.

Cute?! She glared at him with a straight face and then sighed. Great, she was cute now...what next? Pink shirts? She would rather sing in front of someone. "Thanks..." She then sighed and looked at his stuff. She didn't go through it, she just stared at it. "That's it? No snacks? Sad..." Then she remembered the fact that he called her weird and a smirk crossed her face. "I love being weird, it confuses people."

Out of the reactions that Dawn expected from Oriel, he was most likely to shout or simply walk away on any given day. No matter what, Oriel was very steadfast in how he treated girls. Words only, no hitting. No matter how much to the contrary he wanted, that was his rule and had been for as long as he could remember. In his life, Oriel had only done so once that he could remember, and to this day, it still left a sour taste in his mouth.

Boys didn't matter. They could stand to take a hit if they were real men.

Oriel couldn't tell, however, if Dawn was being sincere or sarcastic, but he was leaning towards sarcastic since that's how his distrustful mind worked. In light of this, Oriel said nothing in response, instead keeping his semi-scowl fixed in place until she finally made him laugh.

She was definitely weird. But he hadn't decided if she was annoying yet.

Ok, maybe a little annoying since she decided to comment on what he didn't have in his basket as opposed to what he did have. But then again, Oriel had made a comment first, so he had no room to complain about it. "….It is, ain't it? Don't got a lot of money. So, priorities take priority." And for him, bedroom toys took priority over snacks.

Another snort. Yeah, she was definitely weird. "Well, fuck…." he snickered again. "You got some nerve, catching me on one of my off days, otherwise I'd have a better response for that."

She looked at him for a bit, trying to figure out if she should comment on his...use of words. She decided not to though since it would probably lead to arguments and then probably her throwing things at him. "No sarcasm intended. I love bullies, they provide drama, but they don't like me because I ignore them."

She sighed and looked down. She was getting bored now, maybe she should leave? She shrugged her shoulders and looked at him again. "Well, I'm gonna go so the candy doesn't melt. Bye Oriel." She then smirked at him and walked off. The smirk was not sarcastic in the least. It meant two things, one was that she found him attractive and two she really loved bullies. He probably did not notice it though.

Ok….that was really weird. Short conversation where nobody actually got insulted and she just….left…

Whatever. At least she was out of the way, Dawn, or whatever her name was.

Oriel rounded the corner and quickly nabbed one last item - condoms - and then shuffled back to the front of the store to the registers.

He rolled his eyes. Of course he had to end up behind the weird chick with all the chocolate who apparently liked bullies. Whatever, wasn't like he was going to hang around in the store until she was gone just because she had already said bye to him implying that their interaction was over with.

Oriel stood with a scowl on his face, averting his eyes from the back of her flame red head….the same head that Oriel decided to poke. Only once. And hold it there. His eyes were still looking at something else, as if the poke wasn't even happening.

She sighed and waited patiently for her turn at the register, the person in front of her had so many things. She couldn't help but feel like someone was behind her, of course she just ignored the person. She didn't care if the person thought that she was a bully. At first she just kept looking poker faced in front, then it came her turn at the register.

"Sup..." Then she put her stuff down. Then she jolted, someone had there finger on her head. Why? She was trying to do what her Mom said, her Mom always knew she had anger issues. She took a deep breath and said that it would all be over soon...it wasn't working. She smiled at the cashier a little mean and turned around sharply. "You?! Why are you...." She sucked in a breath as her jaw tightened. "And you call me weird...."

She then got her stuff, gave the person her money and left. So he thought he could bully her? Oh he would see what she did to bullies. She wondered which room number was his, then ask someone what he was afriad of...yeah that would work. She turned around once she went outside just to make sure he saw her face. Cold eyes with a straight face...classic. Then she turned around with a slow smirk and walked off.

Well, that got a reaction out of her. Because really, that was all he was going for, to see what kind of reaction she'd make from something so….small. Yeah, it was small. And childish. It was like 5 year olds playing the "I'm not touching you" game, only he was touching her and not in anyway that was other than somewhat playful. Of course, he continued to look far off at the ceiling as she protested, pretending like she wasn't even there and he wasn't even doing anything.

And of course he ignored her. She walked off and Oriel proceeded to pay for his own items. His eyes caught hers through the glass. Oooo….she was angry. Or something close. Oriel was having fun with this one, he'd have to track her down later.

As soon as he finished paying for his items, Oriel too left the dollar store. With his huge gait, it wasn't long until he effectively caught up to the girl.

Figures, they were both Hammel students, so they were both heading in the same direction. Oriel slowed himself to keep himself from catching up too quickly. And he continued to stalk the red-haired girl, trying to keep down a smirk.

She couldn't help but have a small smirk on her face as she noticed him stalking her. What a childish game to play, and he was supposed to be older than her. Her anger left a while earlier because she ate a few candy bars, maybe he saw that? Stop being so paranoid all the time!

She sighed as her fingers tightened on her bags. She didn't care if he heard her. "Why are all hot guys so..mean?" She then rolled her eyes and kept walking, still trying to ignore the stalker. Why was he stalking? Why didn't he just walk beside her or something?!

Honestly, Oriel wasn't stalking her on purpose. They were just heading in the same direction and apparently she was a short, slow female trying(not really trying) to outrun a guy a head and a half taller than her with longer(and probably much nicer) legs. And so he had become the awkward person who was walking in the same direction as the person he'd just said bye to(he never said it) who simply didn't want to hang back until she was long gone, like that car on the freeway you pass time and time again because both of you are just too damn stubborn to just yield and actually go the speed limit.

To her "idly" spoken comment, Oriel said nothing. Nor did he think anything, because it was neither here nor there. Though if anybody wanted to hear Oriel's opinion on the differences between hot and ugly people, it'd take at least an afternoon to tell the tale, so we won't go into that. Besides, Oriel was rarely ever trying to be nice, so how could that count as an insult?

He did, however, dare to close the distance between them so that he was following only about 10 feet behind her instead of 15 feet.

She then started to chuckle and walked faster, maybe he was lazy? Too her a lazy person walked incredibly slow, but Dawn wasn't lazy, except when it came to snacks. She tended to walk faster than most people, causing them to tell her to slow down. She was also thinking about slowing down to a stop just to get on his nerves, why? She had no idea, it just sounded good.

She kept chuckling as she looked back at him. "Heading the same way I see...sorry." Why the crap did she just say that?! She didn't...ever say that. She must be having a good day...right? Yeah. She sighed and slowed down to stop near him. If he kept walking she was going to then follow him...why not? This was sort of like a game. "Care to walk side by side, or is that too...weird for you?" She then smirked and started walking again. If he was going to stalk, so be it. She would be at her room eating soon enough anyway.
