The BasicsName: Penelope Louise Blaise
Nicknames: None, she actually dislikes being called Penny (not that that stops some people)
Age: 17
Orientation: Very, very gay.
Desired Rank/Job: Student
Powers: Psychometry
Penelope has the ability to see blurbs of the past through touching objects. She can only see the strongest memories associated with the object, usually resulting in the memory of most the recent person to touch the object, but sometimes very strong and/or intense memories can overpower newer ones. Instead of simply watching from a third party, Penelope actually views the event of the person who was most associated with the object/memory. She has no control over what they do, but is just forced to see the event from their perspective. Often, this happens without her meaning to, but she can also do so at her own will (well, sometimes it doesn't work... she's still trying to fix that). Her visions last about a minute tops, but although she is watching them for a minute or so, when she snaps back, time has not passed.
Because of this, it's easy for Penelope to become disoriented after a vision, sometimes forgetting where she is or what time it is. It's common for migraines to occur, especially if she has had multiple visions in a day, or is trying to concentrate on using her ability. She also has trouble remembering what is her own memory or one that belongs to someone else. Because she feels strongly connected to the events, it also causes emotional and psychological distress, the level of intensity varies, but sometimes the psychological and emotional effects can last for days.

General Appearance:
Penelope reaches a whole five feet, two inches tall. Although she doesn't particuarly mind her shortness, she tend to where shoes with a small heel to give here that little extra height (just a couple inches at most; she does have a couple of pairs of "real" heels though that she wears for certain occasions). Her dark brown hair falls a few inches past her shoulders. It's naturally a bit wavey, but she usually straightens it, leaving just a bit of the bottom naturally curl out. More often than not, she keeps her hair down, but does put it up from time to time. Her chocolate colored eyes can (and have) been described as cold, but there is a twinkle of curiosity hiding in them.
Penelope usually wears makeup, but not a huge amount. She's almost perfected upper eyeliner, usually styling it in a small, nondramatic "wing". She also enjoys wearing various shades of red lipstick, feeling comfortable with being able to pull it off. However, she doesn't do this to impress anyone, but rather she enjoys it for herself. Other than those, the rest of her makeup is rather light and gives a very natural look.
How she holds herself very much reflects her personality, in the sense that she almost always has perfect posture. It was trained into her as a child, so she naturally straightens herself at this point in her life. She also tends to walk with confidence and determination, yet maintains an air of polite gracefulness.
As for her style, Penelope enjoys wearing high collared blouses, which typically have some sort of design on them. She usually matches it with a skirt, or just wears a dress all together. Most of her dresses and skirts fall below the knee, though, and any dress or skirt that is above the knee is just barely. She cannot stand miniskirts. She thinks they look unprofessional and uncomfortable. How can someone possibly do anything if whenever they move, they're flashing someone? Yes, she is aware that that is the point, but she still doesn't understand it.
Although Penelope's style is rather clean and feminine, she does actually enjoy wearing a more casual (almost hipster punk) attire. Yet, people rarely see this because she feels like when she wears those types of clothes, she can be more relaxed, so she typically only dresses that way in front of people she is comfortable with.
Personality:
It isn’t uncommon for people to say that Penelope has OCD, but if one were to tell her that, she would explain that OCD is an anxiety disorder, and although she does like to keep things tidy, she doesn’t have anxiety about her desire for organization, and therefore does not have OCD. If then one were to then sigh and say that Penelope was indescribable, she would then inform you that you just gave a description of her through non-description. You see, that's just the kind of person Penelope is. She loves technicalities, at least when it comes to certain things, but mostly with language use. Unfortunately, this is often seen as her being high strung, when really it is a result of her love of the English language.
She's also very, very organized, as stated above. This is partially because of her psychometry; if she knows where everything is, then she doesn't need to touch as much to find what she is looking for, but she was always a neat kid while growing up, so her powers just added to it. Because of this, she's also a bit of a minimalist - the less things there are around, the less she has to deal with. This has resulted in her having a mild hatred of clutter, and although claims to not have OCD, she actually does get anxious if things aren't right, but it isn't to an extreme point where she cannot function if things are messed up.
Penelope is also an introvert, but not in the sense that she is shy. She just likes her personal space. A lot. She is actually quite good in certain social situations, and by social I mean things such as classrooms or other formal situations. Unlike most kids her age, she cannot stand parties (such as high school/college parties. She actually quite enjoys formal dinner parties and the like). She feels very uncomfortable most situations where chit chat is used. She can often be direct in her conversations, and tends to hold herself with an air of confidence. That being said, she has been told before that her mental age is roughly around forty.
That being said, she doesn't hate people, as it is often assumed. Penelope just would rather use her energy on talking to people that actually interest her or have an point to make in conversations.
As one could probably guess, Penelope has a hard time relaxing, so she does practice meditation. Yet, when she is with her brother (and very close friends), a more relaxed, and much more enjoyable, version of Penelope starts to shine. Yes. It exists! She just feels uncomfortable letting her gaurd down around most people, so few get to actually see this side of her. When you see this side of her, she is a bit less mature (yet still probably too mature for her age), and is a bit more daring to do things. Her wardrobe even changes, as explained in the general appearance.Your VicesLikes:

Secret: Although she tends to dress in more of a clean cut fashion, she does really like a more casual (almost hipster punk?) look. She typically wears those types of clothes when hanging with her brother, and while wearing them, she feels less need to be as uptight as she normally is. It's almost a form of relaxation for her, but she doesn't want most people to see that side of her (aka - with her guard down).
Oh. And she likes girls.Family TiesFather: Jonathan Blaise (44)
Mother: Anna Blaise (43)
Siblings: Micheal (21)
Any Other Important People: Not really, she is just very close with her brother.HistoryPenelope was born March 5th, to Jonathan and Anna Blaise in Blackpool, England. As a child, Penelope was fairly normal. She often fought with her older brother, Michael, over toys, and enjoyed exploring the big world of her backyard. Her mother, coming from a wealthier family that disowned her for marrying Jonathan, always taught Penelope and Michael proper manners, such as which fork to eat with and the like. Penelope’s father, on the other hand, grew up in a low-income family from New York, and taught the kids how to appreciate the little things in life.
As Penelope grew older, she increasingly became more interested in reading and writing. After starting school, she would create stories, and her brother would draw them out so they could present them to their parents. Although academically it was great that Penelope loved schoolwork and reading, it did cause her to start having trouble socializing with friends. Yet, her parents didn’t think too much of it, but just that Penelope was a shy child.
When Penelope was nine, her father lost his job in Blackpool, and the family was forced to move to New York. They left behind their small house and moved into an even smaller apartment in the city. Life in New York was very different than back in Blackpool, and the family struggled financially to make ends meet, but they always found a way to scrape by.
It was about a year and a half after their move that Penelope’s brother showed signs of being a meta-human. He had the ability of remote viewing. Hammel recruits showed up at their apartment quickly after, and Michael went off to Hammel. Penelope was excited that her brother had a cool power, but she was upset that he had to move so far away; after all, by that point, he was one of the few friends she had.
Yet, Penelope herself also realized she was a meta-human, but it wasn’t until she was thirteen years old that she discovered this. While at the library, she had went to pick up a book, and upon touching it, she watched her first memory from the eyes of the librarian talking to a teen who was looking for a very specific book. Confused, Penelope immediately thought that she was going mad, but tried not to think anything of it. At least not until she accidentally asked the librarian if the boy found the book he was looking for. The librarian was obviously confused, because Penelope wasn’t even in the library for that conversation, and he immediately called up her parents. The next day, a Hammel recruit was sitting on the same couch as the recruiter who was there for her brother.
Now, Penelope is quite used to Hammel. She still hasn’t lost her Blackpool accent, but she doesn’t remember much of living there at all due to her ability.Roleplay Example-throws Dani at you people- There. What About You?Name: Sai. Or Overlord, whichever you prefer.
