Penelope wasn't quite sure why she had said that, but there was an undeniable anger that took over Penny when Evony had implied that Lucy and her slept together. She wasn't sure if it was because she knew the purple haired girl was trying to get a response out of her, or because Penny knew that the implication was actually fact. Either way, the Brit was not amused.

The fact that Penny said anything at all was shocking, even to herself. Why was she so irritated over this? It shouldn't matter. It didn't matter.

However, now that it was done and said, Penny was free to watch Evony's expression shift. It didn't take long for the Brit to realize the position of power she put herself in. Her statement clearly threw the purple haired girl off.

Penny rolled her shoulders, giving a shrug at the comment. “It's called being observant. I'm friends with her dormmate. Danielle Cooper.” Honestly? Penny had probably talked to the girl twice, but she seemed friendly enough. “I'm sure I would have heard Serrano snoring by now. She's fallen asleep on the dormitory couch before.” It was a simple enough explanation, regardless of it was true or not didn't matter. She doubted the girl believed her at any chance.

“Pardon?” Penelope raised her eyebrows, “You had brought up the subject of her sleeping habits; I was simply stating a fact.” the Brit stopped in her stretches and sat up to look at Evony. “It seems that you have a problem with it, however.” Penny said, "I'm sorry if I've offended you."

The further this went on the more the thief was starting to realise the dangerous terrain she was beginning to tread. First it was Sawyer and now it was this stranger, another party connected to the entity known as Lucy. The paranoia that squirmed in the back of her mind was enough to force the violet haired vagabond to question the purpose of the this conversation. Why she felt so defensive she would not dare admit to herself but Evony knew that now was not the time to delve any deeper.

What stays hidden should remain hidden right? The thief had forgiven Lucy and although questions were running rampant in her mind Evony hoped that both herself and the Australian were on good terms.

So why did she suddenly feel so unsure?

The brit's arguement was sloppily made and Evony found herself narrowing her gaze, deciphering whatever hidden agenda lay underneath all of this. Not even she had spoken to Lucy's dormmates properly and the very notion of the Australian trading the comfort of her bed for some couch seemed highly uncharacteristic. But the thief didn't question it openly, she remained silent.

Evony shuffled underneath the gaze of the girl, not entirely pleased with her position at all. Although she had stretched all the tension from her muscles, Evony could not help but feel herself cringe at the obvious leer sent in her direction. "No. You haven't offended me." She muttered, offering the girl a weak grin before turning away to look at a bracelet adorning her wrist. Lucy's bracelet, something the thief 'borrowed' and had yet to return.

"It's just, Lucy clearly annoys you. But she's so much more than a some uncouth and disorganised Australian who may or may not snore." That in itself was obvious enough, the thief could practically taste the girl's bitterness. "I don't know, I'm just getting strange vibes from you..." The violet haired acrobat shrugged before folding her legs back in, wondering just what it was this stranger was truly annoyed at.

Although Evony stated she wasn’t offended, Penelope couldn’t help but to think it was untrue do to the weak smile the girl offered after. The Brit followed Evony’s gaze to the bracelet; she didn’t recognize it and simply assumed the purple hair girl was trying to avert her gaze from Penny, which only added to the suspicion that she had offended the girl, which was fine. Really.

She raised an eyebrow as Evony stated the obvious. Yes, it was clear that Lucy annoyed her; one of Lucy’s greatest traits, it seemed, was her ability to annoy the hell out of Penelope. The Brit kept her expression generally mutual as the girl continued, but still couldn’t refrain from interjecting. “I seriously doubt that.” It was easy, and actually felt natural, to keep up the act that she seriously disliked the Australian. She had hated Lucy for quite some time, after all.

Penny pushed herself to her feet at Evony’s final comment. Penny would never exactly call herself strange, but she could clearly see that this girl was annoyed. There was only so much she could say. “I’ve been told that before.” She said, watching the girl as she picked up her bag. “But it’s not strange in the least to dislike Lucy Serrano.”

With that said, Penelope gave a small nod in Evony’s direction to thank her for sharing the space before walking straight out of the gym. She wasn’t quite in the mood to workout anymore.
