Of course they'd have a group assignment so early in the term. And it's not just a simple report, it's a fucking skit. Gotta love Ms. LaBeau and English classes in general.

Well at least his partner seemed pretty decent. Fun even. Greg hasn't really interacted with her - in class or out of it - but from the few times she's made her presence known, Greg found her rather charismatic. A little crass, but charismatic nonetheless.

The accent doesn't hurt either.

"Aryana right?" he said as he walked towards her in the courtyard, instinctively offering his hand out for a handshake. He figured the library won't let them talk and discuss, while offering to do it in his dorm might come off, well, creepy among other things. The courtyard felt pretty neutral. Hopefully she won't mind the cold. "Greg. Greg Mackenzie. So, have you read our scene yet?"

English. The most irritating of subjects.

Stereotypes in America were so obnoxious, but when it came to Shakespeare, everyone looked toward the brit for help, as if she were a walking Shakespearean dictionary. Just because she was English did not mean that she knew every damn word by heart. It was as new to her as it was to them.

For the assignment, she was paired with some guy. Gregory, she heard his name was. Rya was told to meet him in the courtyard, for whatever reason. It was freezing outside, and the Hydro did not appreciate it. The only form of water she cared for was liquid. Not Solid, not gas.

The Brunette pulled her jacket closer to herself, her arms crossing across her chest. "It's Rya," The Brit corrected him instinctively; nobody called her Aryana. Ever. "And I've skimmed it. Briefly."

Hey, she was honest, at least.

He wasn’t entirely sure if it was him being perceptive and hearing the disdain in Rya’s voice, or it was his telepathy picking up her dislike for being called ‘Aryana’ that told him that, but either way Greg couldn’t help but crunch his face up slightly in displeasure. Why make a big deal out of nothing? It’s just a name. He’d dig for more, but at his current state, mining for more information – for specific information – was physically painful, more for him than his target. Not to mention it takes forever.

So with an unimpressed eye roll, the brunette decided to let the topic of Rya’s name go.

He’d have other chances, maybe. If he’s still interested. Or he still cared.

“Awesome.” Skimmed was better than nothing. At least it won’t be as difficult as he thought it’d be. Not that he was mister do-all-assignments-two-weeks-before-due, but since this was his first assignment under Ms. LaBeau, so he wanted to make a good first impression. “So since it’s a male and a female role, I’d assume I’d be Petruchio and you’d want to be Kate? Unless of course you'd want to be unique and switch it around?” He actually wanted to try drag if only 'cause it'd be hilarious and memorable - in his eyes - but hey, it's a team activity so the best he can do was give subtle hints. Though with Rya's seemingly strong personality he didn't know how well she'd take his 'hint'.

He didn’t actually use telepathy to notice that maybe Aryana wasn’t exactly comfortable outside. He did see her pull her jacket closer to herself; he’s not that oblivious. “Are you cold? Want to relocate inside?”

"As much as I'd love to see you in a pretty, frilly dress, I definitely want to be Kathrine. Fits my personality better, and I want an A so I don't want to fuck with things." Rya actually watched a few videos of the scene that they were given, and she couldn't help but laugh every time. Yeah, if she played Katherine, she'd be on the floor or draped across his shoulder, but that was better than trying to do the same on his side. She was 5'5" and though she was fit, she was not up to straining herself on the assignment.

Apparently he got the hint that she did not want to be out there, and she gave a sigh of relief; the cloud of white only annoying her further. Why did he even opt for outside in the first place? What was he, a Cyrokinetic? "Yeah, that'd be great. Just freezing my sweet cheeks off, you know."
