It wasn't uncommon for Lucy to commandeer the lounge from time to time. Simply but, the TV was bigger than her computer screen could ever be. So she packed up the xbox 360, stuffed it in a backpack and hauled the thing down to the student lounge and promptly told its current residents to fuck off. It worked, in a round about way. Which was great. And even if it hadn't, Sawyer'd be here any minute. Two angry swearing chicks was always better than one.

Setting the console up, she only bothered to throw her head back to look when the door actually opened. "'Bout time you bloody well show up," Lucy chided, grinning to herself as she finished fiddling with the various cables required. "I was beginning to think you bailed out on date night."

Truth be told, Sawyer needed something to let her aggression out on. She'd seemed a bit on edge all day. Lucy could think of nothing better than digitally beating the proverbial shit out of each other.

Sawyer wasn't the type to hold a grudge. She figured it was so damn unnecessary to sweat the small stuff. Especially since she was going to get out of this shithole in a year's time. Or who knows, she could buckle down and actually put some effort into her studies and graduate early. Either way, grudges were dumb and didn't need to occupy space in her head.

But of course, there were always exceptions to the rule and that British brunette had done a number on her. Especially so close after having to deal with a certain reflection manipulator.

Which was why this afternoon in with her bro was so needed. Just a day of annihilating animated characters she could imagine were the brunette and purple haired metas.

As always, her tatted up friend had managed to clear the whole lounge so Sawyer jacked up her music player into the sound system in the corner of the lounge and put the music on full blast. She went over to the tv and draped herself over the taller brunette. "Carry me to the couch. I'm so tired."

Fortunately - or unfortunately, depending on her mood - Lucy had been in the very class that seemed to irritate her friend so intently. Like everyone else, she'd caught the roaring end of Sawyer's argument with her very own private British counterpart. At the time, she laughed. Sawyer definitely did a number on Penny, working her up like that. But it still lingered over her mood.

And for Lucy, that just wasn't okay.

Standing back up again, Lucy felt the weight of her friend on her shoulders instantly. "Aren't you a needy broad today." She chided, whirling an arm around her waist and leading her into her seat. She scooped the black controller up in a hand and eased it into her own. It was the secondary one she borrowed from her least irritating roommate. No, she hadn't really broken it. But she did borrow it again.

"Play with me, my love." Lucy sat down beside her, procuring her very important, very awesome chrome-gold plated controller. Only the best for the best. She kicked her feet up on the coffee table while she waited for the game to boot up; "Or if you want, I can just hold you close while you cry about how hard your day was."

It was a round about way of asking what was pissing her off, even if she already knew.

"When am I never needy around you, babe?" Sawyer responded and purposely leaned into Lucy's hold as they walked over to the couch. Dropping heavily on to the seat, the voice mimic noisily kicked her feet up the table in front of them, looking at the screen as the start up played.

"I will, my darling." The shorter brunette replied, putting her head on Lucy's shoulder, randomly pressing buttons until the game settings appeared. "I'm gonna do both because both is good and I need blood and gore in my system so badly right now just to cleanse me of the stupid I had to deal with today." She pouted a little, unaware that Lucy knew exactly what the stupid she had to deal with today.

Sawyer breathed in deeply before letting it go in an exaggerated sigh. "You know that English chick?" She started vaguely. "Hot, got some tits on her I'm jealous of by the way, and like...stupid uptight. Had to correct me at every ain't." She rolled her eyes and chose her character. "I think I might have touched her too much or something but she said I manhandled her. Bitch, I can hardly manhandle myself. Hello, I'm half everybody's size!"

Lucy watched from the corner of her eye as Sawyer performed a glorified button-mash. She leaned across the way and exited out of the things she'd dragged up; she was player one, here. So she pressed the necessary buttons in order to hold that position and launch games. "Blood, gore, tears and soft weeping for the night. Aren't you a fucking catch." Lucy retorted, nudging her lightly.

Really, she was a catch.

Shifting to get comfortable, the eldest Serrano listened as her buddy immediately shot off about the British broad in question. She briefly shifted her glance to watch the way Sawyer's hands worked a controller, her eyebrows raised and her eyes moving back to the screen. Totally let her have round one. To make her feel less sucky about her life.

"Don't gotta be jealous of another broad's tits." Lucy pointed out absently, tilting her head towards the rack of her best friend as she kept her gaze tightly focused on the screen. Eh, she'd look at them properly later.

But even if she hadn't been there, Lucy'd know who she was talking about. How many uptight English bitches were there at this school? And how many felt the need to correct every ill-mannered statement? Were it not for where her focus currently stood, she might have struggled a bit more to talk about this. But as it was, she sounded half-invested in the conversation.

"You got into it in Gym, yeah? That chick?" Lucy asked, raising her eyebrows at the still-fresh memory; "Half the bloody room was watching ya."

"Fuck yeah I am." Sawyer rolled her eyes, not thinking too much on that particular comment. Unnecessary and long-winded if she did.

Had she known Lucy was going to let her win, Sawyer would have smacked her friend up and down the room with the controller, regardless who it belonged to. Then again, it was such a nice thing for Lucy to do. Sawyer wasn't as much a gamer as the ink manipulator was but she knew her way around a controller. The blue button was to jump, right?

Concentrated as she was on the screen, Sawyer did laugh at the image of Lucy probably making some sort of nod as an homage to her pretty sizable breasts. At some point in their friendship, they both happened to get in tune with each other.

When Lucy mentioned the location of the incident, Sawyer frowned lightly and hummed her answer wordlessly. "Ey, you were there?" The voice mimic asked. "Yeah. She was yelling rape just because I was gonna teach her how to do three pointers. Like...come on, any fucking sport is contact based. And it's fucking gym! I don't get it. It's like, bitch come on, get over yourself." Sawyer shook her head as the game started.

"Fuckin' aye I was there." Lucy retorted with a sharp laugh. Of course she'd found it hilarious; not simply because her friend actually got worked up. But because they both did. Lucy had a penchant for pissing off the Brit on purpose - it was no surprise Sawyer could do so too, without even trying.

Lucy cringed as she watched her health bar dwindle already. As it stood, Sawyer was already beating the hell out of her. She wondered how that felt. Awesome? Or did it just work her up even more?

"Why bother even turning up?" Lucy asked, her tone making it obvious that she agreed with her. Sawyer wasn't an idiot. She actually had a decent point. She instinctively frowned for her friend; "Not like you gotta even ditch. People make excuses for that shit all the time and they get away with it."

Looking up from where she had laid her head, Sawyer straightened up and continued with the game, pretty sure Lucy was definitely letting her win. "Why didn't you come over?" She asked, keeping her voice neutral. Of course, there had to be a million reasons why the ink manipulator hadn't joined in the fray. Least of which she could just have not wanted to get in trouble. Not that Sawyer or Penelope did in the end.

"Am I right?" Sawyer threw her controller up in the air in agreement to Lucy's statement. "Jesus, it's like, the easiest class to get out of. But Miss High and Mighty couldn't even get past the fact that I'm handsy and I say rude things every two minutes. What, is she suddenly the Queen and I'm supposed to be all proper and lady like? Like fuck I'd do that." She rolled her eyes and jammed her thumbs against the buttons on the controller.

"Die you animated troglodyte, die!" She yelled at the screen.

"Why would I?" Lucy asked instinctively, shrugging her shoulders. "You get in a legit brawl, words or no, I'm your girl." But she chose not to continue on with that. A class volley like that? She hadn't been worried about it. Truly, it hadn't occurred to her that Sawyer might have wanted help, much less felt she needed it.

Lucy took the opportunity that came with Sawyer's distracted state to get a few decent hits in, evening out the score. Who knew mashing buttons randomly was such a winning strategy. "Who'd complain about you getting handsy." Lucy said in return. Of course Penny would. She slapped Lucy during their first physical encounter. Granted, it was a kiss, but getting snapped at was a reasonable dwindle for just putting hands on her.

"She ain't even that proper." The Australian started anyway, "Raising her voice at you and shit." She snerked a laugh at that. Penny would think that was a bad thing to do, but she never held her tone when arguing with the ink manipulator; "A girl could do a lot fucking worse than a chick like you for a partner."

At any rate, whether it was Sawyer's shouting or Lucy's slight of hand, the Australian watched her character go down. K.O. on the screen. She crinkled her nose at her own loss. "Bitches don't know how to be grateful." She added, booting up a rematch. Shit was about to get real.

"Yeah, why would you." Sawyer shrugged and let it slide. It was just weird that Lucy was always by her side even if she seemingly came out of nowhere. It wasn't anything serious, it was just a simple observation.

"Oi, you bastard." The voice mimic called out with a laugh when Lucy threw some punches in with her character. "Apparently Tanktop would." She rolled her eyes, raising her foot to cover Lucy's sight. Yes, so she was a cheater. That shouldn't have come as a surprise.

"Oh my God, yes. You're right. I mean seriously. Who the hell she think she is? And like seriously, her reaction to my touching her...it was like she's never been touched before or whatever. It wasn't that big a deal." Sawyer pressed on. "I think I've touched you in less than a minute than I did in the whole half hour she and I were partnered. Jesus Christ." She shook her head and pressed buttons continuously until finally the two letters she had been waiting to see finally came on the screen. "There you go." Sawyer smirked, even though she knew it had definitely been rigged.

"Aww yes, rematch." Sawyer pulled her legs under her and leaned forward. "You better not let me win this time, Serrano." She bumped her friend with her knee. "She probably just needs to get laid."

Lucy legitimately laughed at the word Sawyer used to describe her. A nickname, she gathered. And a genius one at that. "Aye, fuck off you fucking cheater!" Lucy retorted in tandem with the way she raised her own root to physically push hers down and pin it to the table.

Another sarcastic breath of laughter fell from the Australian's lips at the notion that Penny had never been touched before. At least the humoured response was fitting for what she'd said as much as it fit the irony. "Yeah, but I'm in love with you. Wouldn't dream of swatting you away." Lucy replied with a defeated sigh, but her eyebrows raised and a grin caught her mouth within the next moment. "Or maybe you're that good." She pursed her lips, as if seriously musing on the thought.

"Yeah, well fuck you too." Lucy was a sore loser, even if she liked to think she swayed this one for a friend. Kicking her feet off the table, Lucy pressed them into the floor as she leaned forward, her elbows wresting on her knees.

She shifted away briefly when nudged. "Fuck off," Lucy snapped, but she laughed a moment later. Soon enough, the conversation shifted back again. Lucy lowered her eyebrows as she felt her concentration being pulled in towards the screen. But she couldn't forget the topic at hand.

Not by any means.

"Nah." That definitely wasn't the British broad's problem. "I mean, I'm doing her." Lucy offered nonchalantly, her face twitching in frustration as Sawyer landed a decent hit on her digital form, "Not very fucking well, apparently."

Alright, she had to grin at that.

Sawyer laughed at Lucy's anger at her cheating, relenting as she put her foot down when the ink manipulator shoved it down with her own foot. "Augh, I love it when you pin me down like that." She responded as she started to moan and groan close to Lucy's ear.

"Fuck yeah you wouldn't. And squeeze me, of course I am that good." She raised her middle finger and waved it in the other brunette's face. "Ain't nobody better than I am." She continued, genuinely thinking that now that she was under Carter Chevalier's tutelage.

Snickering at Lucy's defeat and her retort, Sawyer made kissy faces at Lucy just to annoy her even further. Ah what are friends for if not to annoy the crap out of each other in their time of failure? Even if it was completely manipulated?

Sawyer was about ready to give up the subject after her last comment, thinking Lucy would just chuckle and agree and that was that. But her reply to it was so unexpected that Sawyer paused in real life as she let Lucy's avatar beat her own. "Y...the...you're fucking...the..."

Sawyer didn't know which emotion she should lead with as an amalgamation of them started to brew in the voice mimic's tiny frame. The last time the ink manipulator dropped a bomb on her, it had ended up with the subject's room getting trashed. Was this what it was again?

She turned to face Lucy, to find something, anything that could suggest so but no. Lucy looked...fine. She took a deep breath and let out an incredulous breath of laughter. "You fucking stud." She ended up saying before shoving the tatted up meta on the shoulder. "You like dropping bombs on me, don't you?"

The voice mimic went back to the game, still reeling from the fact that she had basically ragged on her friend's hook up buddy. "And fucking aye, bitch. You need to fuck her a little harder next time. She needs to fucking loosen up."

Lucy's crinkled expression pulled into a grin when Sawyer was right up in her ear. "Can't keep it in your damn pants for a second, 'ey?" She retorted, making a point of sitting as still as she had been. Though she couldn't help throw her head back in a laugh; "It's why I gotta love ya."

She nodded her head to concede, a musing expression on her face. Fine, she could be that good.

"Don't think I wont kiss you if you bloody well keep begging for it." Lucy warned her, raising her eyebrows at the voice mimic. It wouldn't be the first time that had happened. Wouldn't be the last, either.

Leaning in closer to the TV, Lucy took the opportunity to absolutely beat the ever loving hell out of Sawyer's character, scoring herself her very own K.O. "Even, motherfucker." She literally threw a fist up in the air to procure her victory, half missing the way Sawyer faltered to find her words.

Honestly, Lucy kind of assumed she'd think she was joking.

But when she finally looked over at her, she couldn't stop the grin plastered all over her face. Sawyer's expression. The admission. The win. It was all worth grinning intently over.

Chuckling at the way Sawyer finally managed to respond, Lucy allowed herself to rock away slightly when Sawyer pushed her. But when she came back she reached over with her free hand and cupped her chin. "Y'look so cute when you don't know what to say." Lucy chastised her. She even went so far as to purse her lips towards her before letting her face go.

When Sawyer's attention left her, Lucy followed suit. "Trust me, she ain't always like that." Lucy replied knowingly. She quickly curled her fingers around the neck of her shirt, pulling it to the side to reveal the definitive bite mark that'd practically formed a light bruise on her shoulder. "Not so proper, that one."

Scoffing at Lucy's statement, Sawyer rolled her eyes and responded, "What, when I'm in the presence of such a fine ass like you? Babe, come on. You know me better than that." She chuckled and gave a look of pure innocence when Lucy confessed her love flippantly. "You've got to be Penelope not to love me."

Pausing the game just for a second, Sawyer, with her puckered up lips, smirked wickedly. "What makes you think that isn't my end game, Serrano?" She quirked an eyebrow before going back to the game. Although by that time, she had already lost all concentration.

She let the ink manipulator pull her face close and when they were close enough, Sawyer opened her mouth and closed it close to Lucy's nose, as though to bite her.

Once their joint concentration was on the TV, Sawyer blinked once or twice at Lucy's blase remark. Doing a double take when she saw the bite marks, she pursed her lips and snorted so loudly that it hurt the bridge of her nose. "Ow. But holy shit. This is golden. I'm totally purposely going to bump into her now." She chuckled and pulled Lucy closer to inspect the hickeys on her friend's neck. "Jesus...I wonder if Carter ever leaves these on me." She said softly.

Lucy just grinned, chuckling to herself at the notion of Sawyer's end game. What was a joke or two or six about hooking up between friends? Hilarious, that's what. And a little factual.

When Sawyer seemed to try to bite her nose, Lucy narrowed her eyes on her before pushing forward to kiss her quickly. It might have been a dirty play, but it suited her just fine.

It was damn near impossible to play a game like this one handed with a controller just perched on her lap. She should have thought that through more clearly and given herself some stability. At any rate, she let Sawyer pull her in so she could get a closer look. Why else would she offer in the first place? "It's more on the down low than whatever that shit I had with the blue broad was. At least this one wants to keep her mouth shut." Though, she did raise her eyebrows again at that. Evidently, she preferred shutting her mouth on the ink manipulator's shoulder.

She didn't doubt Sawyer would go up to her about it though. "Don't be a total dick about it, yeah?"

Lucy rolled her eyes when Sawyer mentioned Carter. So that what who she was hooking up with? The mystery person was a Chevalier. No wonder she wasn't surprised. "Jesus, fuck. So he got to you." Her and half the bloody student population. Lucy seemed like the only girl to prefer the younger twin. That was a fact kept firmly to her chest.

"Uhhh-" Lucy drew the simple sound out, all but abandoning the controller she had now. She even made a point of setting it aside on the table ahead. This time when she sat back, she purposely turned and fell back into the voice mimics lap, resting her head against her thigh and staring up at the ceiling. "Early December?" That was about as far as she could readily remember, given the milestone that was the way things fell to shit around Christmas.

"It's different, though. To how shit was with Ev." Lucy added, clearly musing over the thought as her eyebrows knitted together in her confusion. She folded her arms over her chest. "Not just cause there's sex, or whatever." She was, at the very least, trying to be okay with talking about it. She couldn't exactly talk to Rowan. "It's just not... Awkward. Or weird."

Lucy had to wonder if that even made sense. The corner of her mouth twisted into a weakened, still amused grin; "Blue was a weird chick." That was probably where the difference was coming from. At least, that was what she was wondering on.
