It had been a crazy past few weeks. Very crazy. Things had reestablished themselves into a sense of normalcy as Lani’s classes had started up. Lani’s biggest worry was keeping his rent paid and passing his classes. It felt like he’d finally gotten his feet back under himself for them to be swept out from underneath him again. When Odion first showed up Lani’d attempted to pass it off as a hallucination and it had freaked him out. When it became real it became something Lani had to deal with and he’d been trying to figure it out. He wasn’t really sure whose side Caroline was on because it seemed like she was on Odion’s side but at the same time she was turning it around to make herself seem like she was on his side. It was this moment that Lani realized she’d picked up a whole lot of things from him.
Lani texted Avinea quickly letting her know he was heading up the stairs. He had called her a few days ago in absolute panic after Odion’s birthday. He was so confused and torn. He honestly couldn’t be sure what was going on if his own mind. Ever since Odion left Lani had tried to periodically text Avi and he knew that by now she would know that Odion was back and she probably needed just as much help as he did. He hated that he kept falling back on Avinea but he didn’t know who else to talk to. Adrianna was a very clear about her position and she clearly thought he was an idiot for even considering it. Hell, he thought he was an idiot for considering it. But he wasn’t sure that he was even considering. He just wanted to shut out his heart and pretend he didn’t even have one. But Odion was making that impossible.
The fact of the matter was that so long as Odion was around there was no one else. Lani’s heart was still in shambles and Lani wasn’t sure that he wanted to get back with Odion. Or anyone. It would certainly be safer. But after Odion’s birthday, it had been so much fun and he remembered why he’d fallen in love with the redhead in the first place and he had started to look at pictures and remember. He didn’t know what to do and he needed to talk to someone. He wished dearly that he could talk to Odion but talking to Odion about Odion wasn’t really constructive. Lani slipped through the door easily, once he was in it was easy to pretend to be a student, it wasn’t so long since he’d last been here. He knocked on Avinea’s door and waited with a container of oreos as an offering.
