Regardless of what Penny said, she was not fine. She was drunk. Lucy found herself struggling with an onslaught of questions; all of which seemed smarter to ask once her British counterpart could offer decent answer. Then again, given the way her mouth was running in her current state, it might have been the perfect time to flood her with questions.

Later. Lucy had been surprised by the way the psychometrist had sunk her teeth into her finger lightly. It wasn't until the others had left that she made the move to respond; to breathe slowly. And answer.

"I'm touching you." She pointed out, though she chose not to comment on whether or not it was unfair.

Because it obviously wasn't. But she was still grinning about it anyway.

Penny was totally fine. Completely. Especially now that Sawyer and Danielle had left the dormitory. Now she had the ability to focus completely on Lucy. Not that she hadn't before.

“Exactly.” She stated, agreeing with her counterpart. “But you said I couldn't touch you. That's not fair.” Penny raised her eyebrows, although drunk, she was highly aware of the way Lucy breathed. How she grinned.

“What is it with that grin you have?” Penny demanded, gaze locked on her counterpart's lips. “You get that way, and just grin like that. It's just so...” She paused, trying to think of the proper word, “you.”

With her hand finally settled on Lucy's waist, she pulled the ink manipulator closer to herself. “I can't stand it.” She denoted with a short nod, “But I don't want you to stop doing it, either.”

Lucy didn't answer. Not verbally. Not as she protested further. She simply grinned like that.

Her eyebrows raised when Penny directly questioned her for the very look she wore. She was incredibly attuned to the way Penny was staring at her mouth. She knew what it meant when the psychometrist did, but this felt as if this carried more than the overwhelming desire to kiss.

She stepped forward when Penny pulled her in, though she originally felt determined to avoid such actions. That concept quickly faltered.

"It's my face, Penny." She replied quickly, unable to hide her amused tone of voice. As concerned as she might have been, she was still Lucy; "Are you telling me you hate my face?"

That grin always captured Penny's attention. Even before this, it had always brought about a reaction from the Brit. And even now, she wasn't sure how she felt about it. Mixed emotions. Either way, Penny was sure she didn't want her to stop grinning like that. Ever.

She was thankful that Lucy let her pull her in. Her hand slowly tracked towards the small of Lucy's back, tucking under the fabric of her shirt as she pressed her palm to the ink manipulator's skin.

“A little bit, yeah.” Penny replied after a moment, her gaze finally shifting to catch the Australian's eyes. “But I love it, too.” This time, it was her turn to grin.

“I like it when you call me Penny.”

The moment Lucy felt her hand pressed against her skin, she couldn't stop the way she involuntarily leaned in closer, refusing to take a breath until the connotations behind her touch settled. And when it didn't, she was simply forced to exhale.

A little bit. The Australian raised a hand to run her fingertips across her own jaw idly. But she recovered well enough, managing to draw a smile from her grin. Because she loved her, and she felt it.

"You're fucking with me." Lucy quickly rebutted, "You hate nicknames."

Her hand settled, holding Lucy close to herself as she took the time to appreciate the contact. Little as it was, it was, it was still imperative.

Her other hand drew upwards in an attempt to catch Lucy's. “I mean. I really love it.” She added for emphasis, eyebrows twitching upward. “Like woah.” Again, the two words managed to pass her lips. Because it was the perfect way to describe it.

“I don't like when people call me by nicknames.” Honestly, she felt the name Penny never suited her. Or rather, it never suited her in the public eye. Thus why she had always gone by Penelope.  “But with you. It's different. You're more different than anyone else.” She paused a moment before leaning in, brushing her lips against Lucy's ear. “I can be me – Penny – around you.”

Again, Penny offered the notion of love in another phrase. It caused Lucy to breathe a laugh at the blind importance behind it. She knew it was important not to get so wrapped up in the things she said in this state, but it was difficult. Near impossible. So she threatened to lean in and kiss her, to try to catch the words as they passed through her lips. But in the end, she didn't.

She nodded at the fact; the Australian knew Penny took issue with nicknames. And there, she thought that was it for that conversation. But Penny continued, calling her different in the best possible way.

Lucy squeezed the hand she held when the psychometrist spoke into her ear. It was defining, so much so that she felt speechless. And when Lucy Serrano was at a loss for words - suspended by a statement or a move by Penelope Blaise - she blushed.

Knowingly. "You-"

Easing out of the hand within her shirt, she took a step back. But she never let go of her hand. "C'mon." She offered lightly, tugging on her counterpart's hand as she moved towards her room.

With the alcohol in her system, she hadn't realized the weight of her own words. Yet that didn't make them any less true. Her thumb grazed Lucy's as she felt the pressure of her hand being squeezed. She couldn't help but to be a little surprised that her counterpart hadn't replied. It was rare for Lucy Serrano to remain quiet in these situations.

As Lucy drew herself away, Penny's natural reaction was to try to catch her. She failed upon doing so, but squeezed the ink manipulator's hand when she realized why Lucy pulled away. Allowing herself to be lead towards the dormitory, Penny's curiosity grew; “There's nobody here.” She gestured to the common room with her free hand. It wasn't that she minded the idea of going into Lucy's room, but more curious as to why the ink manipulator was making the effort to do so. However, when her gaze turned back to Lucy, her something much more important caught her attention.

“You're blushing.” Penny's grin grew as she blatantly called her counterpart out for the reddening of her cheeks. “Lucy Serrano is blushing. Who would have thought I could manage that one.” Her grin slowly started to become more smug as she spoke. “Though, it's not the first time, either.”

"I know." Lucy replied. After all, it was impossible not to be aware of their surroundings. Even when there had been people around, Lucy had struggled to keep her hands off her - to stay away.

She pressed her hand against the handle, freezing on instinct the second her counterpart called her out. And more to the point, she didn't stop. The psychometrist rambled about the faint colour on the ink manipulator's cheeks, and given the way she liked to ramble when she drank, Lucy thought to expect more no matter what she said.

"Shut up." She snapped, though she obviously meant no harm by it. So she swung the door open, indicating to it with a quick tilt of her head. In silence, she demanded that her counterpart get inside. "I know."

The smug look playing about Penny’s features only grew more so as she was told to shut up. It had little effect to silence the rambling psychometrist. If anything, it encouraged her.

“Well, aren’t we defensive.” Penny replied slowly, pulling her counterpart’s hand up to her lips, kissing her knuckles lightly as she grinned against it. “Don’t be upset.” She kissed her knuckles again. Once. Twice. Lingering on the third. “I like seeing you all flustered.”

Penelope raised her eyebrows and shot Lucy an amused look, but still headed towards the door after being prompted to. However, she paused against the frame before taking a step towards the ink manipulator and kissing her with intention.

She drew away only enough to let out a breath, her lips brushing against Lucy’s as her fingers curled around her shirt, giving it a tug in her direction. “Get in here.”

Of course Lucy knew she'd wasted her breath on such an obvious statement. The moment she'd said it, she wondered why she bothered. But it was completely impossible to find her remotely frustrating or irritating; especially when she felt her lips brushing across her hand. The sentiment she offered weighed down the seemingly simple gesture.

Lucy felt clear surprise when Penny turned back and kissed her. She hadn't expected the act or the intention, though she should have, given the way she'd been acting before. But it didn't take long for her to reciprocate; it never did.

"But there's nobody here." The Australian repeated her prior statement as the corner of her mouth twitching into a smirk. She kept the proximity, the minor colour on her face fading with such confidence.

Because she knew how to talk now.

"Why're you so pushy?" She asked, feigning clear frustration as she refused to take a step forward.

Penny couldn’t help but to smirk into the kiss, realizing that she had caught Lucy off guard. As she pulled away, the Brit was sure that Lucy would follow, but when she noticed her smirk, Penny’s eyebrows twitched together. Again, she tugged at the material curled in her fingers.

The statement repeated back to her only frustrated the Brit. “You’re the one that wanted to go in your dorm.” She tried her best to hide any hint of wining from her tone.

“I’m not pushy.” She was. She knew she was. Yet that didn’t stop the psychometrist from trying to argue it. “I just want you.”

Despite how Penny tried, her wining tone wasn't lost on Lucy. Nor was the way she tried her best to argue over her pushy nature. Still, the idea of being wanted by the psychometrist - drunk or not - was enthralling to the ink manipulator. She felt the temptation to be drawn in.

"I want you." Lucy replied, giving in to the fact that she wanted to step forward. Reaching out with her free hand, Lucy pressed it against the Brit's shoulder, adding light pressure to ease her back into the room; "In my room. In my bed."

Kicking the door closed behind her, Lucy moved to curl her fingers around her neck. "Because you're Penny when you're with me." She added lightly, leaning in to brush her lips against her counterpart's. "And fuck, I-" Lucy paused, faltering on the all important word. Still, she tried; "- You."

There. It was the most she could give to the inebriated meta she held onto.

"So shut up for a fucking second and let me."

Penny grinned at the admission. Lucy wanted her. And she knew that. She allowed herself to be lead back into the Australian’s room, teeth sinking into her lower lip as Lucy continued.

For the first time since Lucy had walked in the dorm, Penny remained silent. She didn’t have a response to such a statement. Her grip on the Australian’s clothing tightened as she forced in a breath.

Because she was taking charge.

Yet Penny regained her composure the moment Lucy faltered. Her grin quickly returned, and she raised her eyebrows, but as the final word dropped from the Australian’s mouth, she felt her features soften. Even if Lucy hadn’t spoken the singular word, what she did say felt just as weighted.

But it was quickly Penny’s turn to falter as Lucy continued. She paused in her steps, staring back at the Australian. Completely enthralled by her. “Please.”

Lucy knew she'd hit a wall when she failed over the all important word. This girl knew she loved her. She knew she wanted to say it, but it was difficult. After hours of being able to speak the statement so willingly, it was visibly frustrating to fail where it was most important.

But it didn't seem like a deterrent for her drunken counterpart, so Lucy had to assume that she understood. Still, that did little to calm the personal irritation.

As much as she didn't need it, the single word Penny offered sounded so damn good coming out of her mouth. There was no way she could ignore it.

"Why're you even asking?" She asked, though she didn't give her any time to answer. With a hand around her neck, Lucy made the move to draw her in as she leaned in close. She kissed the psychometrist with such clear intention, feeling the pressure of her hands clinging to the fabric of her shirt and allowing the fact to fuel her more so. Her free hand shifted into her hair, fingers curling around the dark locks she adored so much.

Easing her towards the bed again, the ink manipulator made a point of running her tongue along the line of her lower lip eagerly. Anything to keep her close.
