Two of a Kind [Xav/Jax]

Gestalt Pair meant two minds melding and being shared between two bodies. That was what Bolin and Chonglin's power manifested as. Unfortunately for them though their powers didn't seem to go too smoothly. Neither of them were fighting agains the synchronization, it just wasn't happening nicely like some people make it sound. Their thoughts were their own, they just were in one another's heads. At times they were acting in unison, and as good as it felt, it also felt wrong. Individually they didn't like that in sync feeling; it didn't feel like Bolin and Chonglin, just Lin. Some people they've talked to made it sound like a smooth process that happened quickly. Unfortunately none of those people were Gestalts, and as far as Lin was concerned, didn't know what they were talking about.

Bolin and Chonglin hadn't worked a trainer yet since they started their classes at Hammel. They didn't want to deal with someone who didn't get how to help them with their problems. Mainly how to get used to the melding. So far, from what they knew, other Gestalts faced the same problem, so Lin wasn't jumping at the chance to get working with any of their trainers. There wasn't anyone who seemed to get what was going on.

Except for the men Lin was going to meet on this particular day. Xavier and Jaxon Wright were their names. Lin didn't know much about them other than they were a hybrid or something like that. Neither had any idea what that meant, only that they specialized with Gestalts and mental powers. And that was why Bolin and Chonglin walked down to the training room to see these men. Once there, Bolin peeked in to see if Xavier and Jaxon were there yet.

Jax was in control of their body today, and Xav was practically snoring in their head. They were on the job, and so Xavier knew he couldn't fully rest because there were some appointments today that required the more outgoing soul to appear, and then there were some that required Jax's attention. But in between, while they waited, Xav didn't want to have anything to do with the white walled room. Lovely.

<You know, if we weren't Hybrid, you probably would have been fired so quickly.> Jax pointed out, and he could practically feel Xavier wave him away.

<But we are, so let me take advantage of that fact.>

<You're such a....>

Their mind was spun out of focus when Jax heard the door open, and an unrecognizable student poked their head into the door. "You can come in," Jax said aloud, moving towards the edge of their desk and leaning against the wood.

He waited for the boy to enter, but wasn't surprised when another, nearly identical boy walked in right after. <Another Gestalt Pair> Xavier said, and Jax resisted the urge to roll their eyes.

"I'm assuming you're my new Gestalt Pair?" The Hybrid man didn't wait for an answer, since he likely knew it already. "Sit, please."

Upon hearing that they were welcome to come in, the twins entered the room. There was only one man /physically/ there in the room besides Lin. It was a bit weird to have one man. Their trainers were both Xavier and Jaxon Wright… Right? Perhaps one was on his way, or they could both work with only one of them there? Lin didn't know about this Hybrid power of their trainers, so they couldn't really say they knew who it was in the room.

"Yeah. I'm Bolin."

"And I'm Chonglin." They nodded together to the trainer in front of them. Then they both did as he said. The twins were ready to get the session started. Getting the syncing over with wasn't going to be done by the end of the day obviously, but hopefully they'd be a step closer.

"So, which Mr. Wright are you?" They both sat with their eyes on the single man.

"Jaxon," He said, his lips curling up at the corners. Of course, it took students a bit of time to understand the differences between himself and his brother. Since they inhabited the same body, one couldn't simply pay attention differences in the face or body, because they occupied the same one. There were subtle differences between the two men when they were in control of their body; Jaxon had a slightly lowered and careful tone, while Xavier spoke a bit faster and higher. Jax rarely moved without a reason, and he always held himself high, while Xavier tended to slouch and made many hand gestures. Jaxon was regal, Xavier was exciting.

Unlike the gestalts, they had two differing personalities.

"I suppose this would be a good time to introduce Xavier, and explain our power a bit more." Their eyes flashed, and Xavier pulled into control with much reluctance. Their body was covered in goosebumps from the change. No matter how many times Xavier did this, he'd never get used to it.

"I'm Xavier," Queue the slouching and the slight wave of his hand. "Can be confusing, I know. But to sum things up for you two, we're a Hybrid Pair. We have two souls inhabiting a single body. You'll learn the differences between us very soon."

"But for right now, we need to start with the pre-evaluation. Basically a questionnaire that we give to first time students." Xavier raised a brow, glancing between the two boys. "But before we start, do you have any questions?"

<Of course they do, Xav. You went way too fast.>

<That's up to them though, isn't it?> Xavier heard Jax snicker within the depths of his mind.

<You're so frustrating sometimes.>

<Reason number 58 why you couldn't live without me.>
