Sawyer, for the most part, had been completely unaware that her entire relationship with one Danielle Cooper had revolved around booze and sex. She enjoyed the other girl's company. A lot more than she usually did with her hookups.

Which bore weight in why she was marching over to one Danielle Cooper's dorm to suss things out with her. It was a bit uncharacteristic of her to say the least, but she did not like this feeling of discomfort, especially when she thought she was having fun.

Selfish? Sawyer? Sacrilegious.

Knocking on Dani's door, Sawyer started biting her thumbnail as she figured out what she wanted to say. By now people should realise that words were just not part of what makes Sawyer so charming. It was a hindrance that she just would love to do without.

As she waited for Dani to open the door, she smacked her forehead for forgetting to bring booze. And she still wondered why this conversation was begging to be had.

Dani was hiding.

Well, not hiding, but it wasn’t uncommon for the electrokinetic to board herself up in her room in order to avoid people. With internet, video games, and a constant supply of snacks and energy drinks, Dani Cooper was positive she would never have to leave her room ever, ever again.

Unfortunately, the plan wasn’t all that effective, as the person she was trying to avoid knew exactly where her dorm was, and frequented said dorm often. Between herself and Lucy, it wasn’t uncommon to see Sawyer around.

So when she heard a knock, she crinkled her nose and paused her game. Maybe if she didn’t say anything, whoever was at the door would assume she wasn’t there. However, the electrokinetic struggled with doing so. What if it wasn’t Sawyer? Maybe it was Lucy or Lany? Hell, it could have even been Penny for all she knew.

So Dani slowly pushed herself off the bed, making her way to the door. Before opening it, she took in a quick breath, nodding to herself for reassurance before twisting the handle open.

Sawyer was so ready to chew Dani out that when the doorknob jiggled, she had already opened her mouth to start talking. Until she actually saw the girl.

Distraction. That was what Dani was. She was a distraction. Which should have made it so much easier for Sawyer to just forget about. So why was she even standing at the other girl's door, ready to demand why she hadn't been reciprocating her attention?

She opened her mouth again but this time no words came out. "Oh fuck." She mouthed as she realised that her abilities had screwed up her vocals. And now she was mute. That was brilliant.

Thumping the doorway with her fist, she grabbed her phone and quickly typed out her sudden affliction.

When Dani opened the door, she tried her best not to panic. The curve of her lip faltered on a forced, nervous smile as she looked at the voice mimic. She waited a moment for Sawyer to speak, but only silence followed the normally loud brunette.

She wasn’t quite sure what was going on.

“Hi.” She said, the normal energy the electrokinetic carried seemed drained from her tone. She raised her eyebrows as Sawyer reached for her phone, evidently confused by the action. When shown it, however, Dani let out a soft. “Oh.”

She looked back up at Sawyer from the device before giving a short nod, opening her door wider so she could come in. Sometimes she was really just a pushover.

Sawyer didn't know much about facial expressions, her forte being voices. Which was why in those two words Dani had uttered, Sawyer knew exactly how she was feeling. It wasn't the most encouraging opening but the voice mimic was going to get whatever she could wherever she could get it.

Typing out a quick thanks, she showed it to Dani before walking in, immediately making herself comfortable at the table. The bed seemed a little too intimate. And having judged by the sound of her counterpart's voice, Sawyer was sure intimacy was way out of question.

She waited until Dani got situated at whatever level of comfort she could find before she typed out a quick: what's going on with you? before showing it to Dani.

Dani gave a nod as she read the message of thanks, and stepped aside. She closed the door behind her, watching as Sawyer situated herself at her desk. Pulling her computer chair out, the electrokinetic sat down, crossing her legs up onto it.

She was nervous. It showed as took hold of a Rubik’s cube and started to fiddle with it. However, when the phone was flashed to Dani, she looked away from the puzzle and towards Sawyer’s outdated device.

Right. It must have been obvious. One couldn’t just hide and expect the other not to notice. Dani took in a short breath, and pulled out her own phone. If Sawyer couldn’t physically talk, Dani wouldn’t. The concept of it just seemed weird, and somehow typing made the ordeal easier for the electrokinetic.

Her thumbs brushed along the touch screen as she pulled up a sticky note application to write in; Nothing. Lies. She was a horrible liar, even when communicating through technology.

When Dani responded with a text of her own, Sawyer found herself even more endeared towards the electrokinetic.

The reply was met with a raised eyebrow before she typed out her own response.

bullshit. i know when i'm being ignored, Coop She showed the message to Dani and sighed inaudibly. Briefly, she wondered when her abilities would stop fucking up so she could talk properly.
