The BasicsName: Olive, Junebug, Delaney
Nicknames: N/A
Age: 23
Orientation: Heterosexual
Desired Rank/Job: College Student
Powers: The ability to change the color of man made objects. The smaller the object the longer the effect will last (a paperclip could last months while a car would only last around half an hour). In addition, the size also determines how much energy it drains from her (as well as how many consecutive color changes are made). Changing a large time can fatique her to the point of needing to lay down and rest for a good hour or so. As for the ability in general, Olive is blind so it's pretty much wasted on her and she rarely ever uses it.

Any Scars? Several on her knees and elbows from taking a lot of falls over the years.
General Appearance: Physically Olive isn’t that different than most young women her age. She has a petite figure, standing just short of 5’6” and carries herself at a healthy weight. Even her hair is fairly average, never brightly colored or overly styled. She could almost blend right into a crowd, ‘almost’ being the key word here. There’s one thing that very obviously sets Olive apart, and that’s her horrendous sense of style. The girl is blind and kind of gets a pass, but that doesn’t make her wardrobe any less of a train wreck. We’re talking giant oversized sweaters that have half naked pictures of Bill Nye the Science guy embroidered on them. Dresses covered in a variety of curse words. Stockings covered in butts of all shapes and sizes. It’s not that she has weird tastes, she just honestly doesn’t know any better. Who wants to break a blind girl’s heart when she’s so proud of her comfy thrift store finds?
So if you can look past the fashion faux pas, the unkempt hair that usually hangs in front of her face and the complete lack of make up, Olive could pass for pretty, in a weird and confusing sort of way. Like a colorful bug or plant. Though, she’s definitely not staring in any fashion shows anytime soon.
Personality: Olive can best be described as quirky, optimistic and naïve. She’s lived a sheltered life, and a fairly pleasant one at that, so while she might not know much about how cruel the ‘real world’ can be, she’s excited to experience all it has to offer.
More than anything Olive wants friends, and she tries way too hard to get them. It’s almost too embarrassing to watch. She would go well out of her way to get someone to like her, which leaves her open to a lot of bullying and pranks, as if being blind didn’t make her enough of an outcast already. Surprisingly she doesn’t mind. Olive thinks that anyone who is cruel to her is just a challenge, and that she’ll have to try that much harder to make them her new BFF. Obviously her attempts fail the majority of the time.
When she isn’t forcing her company on others, Olive is probably letting her over active imagination wander. She reads far too many trashy detective and romance novels and thus seems to believe that most mundane scenarios are actually far more interesting. She can overhear two people talking about a new iphone app and instantly interpret it as some sort of undercover drug deal. Or if she hears two friends having a laugh she’ll assume they’re destined for some kind of grand romance and will start meddling to make it happen. Her actions are always with good intentions but completely misguided.
For all her love of mysteries and a good romance, she’s completely oblivious when it happens to her. She would never pick up on subtle hints that someone likes her as more than a friend, and an actual murder could happen right in front of her and she would probably have no idea what was going on. This is partially due to the fact that despite being 23, she has never really dated before, and of course, isn’t a murderer.Your VicesLikes:

Any Other Important People:Mr. Darcy, Olive's seeing eye dog (a golden retriever)HistoryOlive had a nice childhood. Even her loss of eyesight wasn’t very traumatic. It happened slowly between the ages of 5 and 8 due to an increased pressure in her corneas, giving her plenty of time to learn to adapt and live without it. The only part that was ever lacking was the social element. Her parents were sure that she would be bullied, so Olive was home schooled up until her abilities began to manifest, which meant very few friends and life experiences.
Her ability showed itself well after her blindness was complete, just after her 13th birthday, and it only took three days for a Hammel rep to show up at her door and explain things to her parents.
Luckily her parents were surprisingly understanding and supportive of the whole ordeal and never once thought any differently of her, which is sadly a rare reaction. Overall Olive hasn't had it easy, but she hasn't really suffered either. Her time in highschool was probably the worst of it all. While it was exciting to meet other people with cool abilities, she struggled a lot of coursework and ended up staying a few years longer than most of the kids, mostly due to needing extra help to accomplish things that a seeing person wouldn't have to deal with. There aren't any schools out there for the blind AND metahuman so it was rough, but she finally made it and is now in her second year of college.Roleplay Example“What should we wear today? The radio said it’s going to get chilly tonight, so maybe a sweater?” Olive stretched out her hand until she felt her guide dog nuzzle against it. She didn’t know what she would do without Mr. Darcy. Besides helping her navigate traffic, run errands and get to school, he was also a very good judge of fashion. “This one, or maybe… this?”
She held up two of her favorites, both were soft and oversized and when she wore them she felt like she was bundled up in a warm blanket, though unbeknownst to her, they were both hideous. One had a giant light up Christmas tree on it, and the other was embroidered were a variety of curse words (which of course no one ever pointed out). Mr. Darcy tugged on the Christmas tree sweater.
“Good choice, I’ll keep it in my bag for later.” Olive slipped on a neon velvet polka dot sundress she found at the thrift store, as well as some tights that had ninja turtles printed across them, before grabbing her things and heading out the door. In one hand she held onto Mr. Darcy’s leash, and in the other she clutched her white came. Today was going to be fun, she had a good feeling about it! Or maybe that was just bloating. What About You?Name: Pep
