The Party That Was Better Than the Last Party (Open)

The last time Jade had a party at her apartment, she'd ended up paralyzing Kai and walking out of her bedroom without her shirt on. This would be different, meaning hopefully she wouldn't paralyze anybody but she could walk out of a room with her shirt off. That wouldn't really matter.

It was a party. A random party mostly, but Kristina's birthday had been a while ago, so that could be a reason if anybody asked. She'd told Kristina and Brooke to invite whoever they wanted for the most part. She hoped that turned out alright and for the most part that this party turned out better than the last one.

She was standing next to the speakers they had set up in the living room and controlling the music from her laptop. Because a party was as only good as its music and she knew good music.

Brooke enjoyed the last party they had at this apartment. It was before graduation and was, quite honestly, the last real party that Brooke had been to. Sure there were good times here and there, but Brooke had been so busy with University and her new job at the comic book store that she hadn’t the time to do much more than plop around at home and play her video games.

She wished she could go back to the party-hardy lifestyle she lived back in high school, but…nope! Brooke was a full-fledged adult now, with a job and everything! Either that, or she was cleverly masquerading as an adult, and was just waiting to jump into something like this with full force!

But with all the tired…Brooke didn’t have the motivation to do much dressing up for this party. So she emerged from her room(off limits!!) in a simple shorts and tank combo. She’d sent some invites to a few of her friends, but didn’t know if any of them would actually show up. A shame, really, since she really hadn’t gotten any action recently and reeeeeaaalllly needed to fix that, pronto.

Brooke meandered to the kitchen, shaking her booty occasionally along the way, and started mixing up a mystery drink. Maybe if she got some alcohol in her, she’d get some well-good-needed energy.

Like Brooke, Kristina had been busy the past month, adjusting to the harder classes in university and balancing it with her job at the clothing store. Not to mention, she finally accepted Jade's offer to help out with the university's newspaper as the resident photographer. It was a lot of fun, since she got to do what she loved best and get some form of recognition from it.

Otherwise, the Czech girl didn't live a particularly exciting life. The last time she'd gone out was for her twentieth birthday, but Kristina had gone to the bar. Alone. Sure, the one girl she talked to was nice but still. She had fallen into a rut and needed something exciting in her life again.

The last party had been a lot of fun. The Sexy Bitch Haven had a reputation to maintain. Since she didn't get out much and her two friends were her roommates, Kristina invited only a couple of people. She hadn't bothered changing out of her sleeveless blouse and skirt combo she'd worn to work earlier that morning. With a drink in hand already, Kristina started to make her way back towards the living room, grinning at Brooke on the way. "Someone's pretty dance-y already." She commented, referring to her booty shaking.

She stood in front of Jade's makeshift DJ station. "You want anything?" Kristina asked, lifting her cup up.

This was a first for Matt, and he was more than excited to be on his way to the college party. When he got Jade’s text he almost didn’t believe it. He expected her to say that her car had broken down or something, which he would -not- believe. Heck he had given her a pretty open guarantee that he’d fix anything that went wrong with it a month after it had been fixed, and had no idea what she might pull from that. He really needed to find a better way to advertise. When he finally opened the message though he didn’t know what to make of it. He had a couple of days to get ready, though he wasn’t even sure what he’d have to do to get ready for a college party. What kind of clothes would be college-y?

By the time Friday had rolled around he had all of his laundry done and picked out what he think looked best on him. His best pair of jeans, that according to his new friend Jen made his butt look nice, a tight fitting white V-neck with short sleeves to show off some of his arms, and a dark jacket left open. His blue and white sneakers seemed to tie it all together. When the day came he took a long shower to make sure he smelled nice, dressed, and then spent a great deal of time to make sure his hair sat perfectly. He had to make it look like he spent enough time on it, but not too much, which of course took more time than you could imagine.

Today he forsook his bike and decided to take the bus to her neighborhood and then walk the rest of the way. For some reason he had a feeling that showing up on a bike, and then having to manage it the rest of the evening, wouldn’t sit well with the guests that might be in attendance. Perhaps no one would ask why he walked, however, or think twice about it.

By the time he arrived there were a few other cars in the lot or parked beside of the street. He could hear either some loud talking, or lyrics that went with the sound of the muffled music. He walked up the driveway and paused when he saw Jade’s car. He smirked some and sat his hand on it. He could feel it, and could feel that everything with it was running damn well. He tried his hardest to keep his eyes away from the other cars. Hell, if he looked long or hard enough he might find something amiss and leap into action to fix it up. When he got in that state, he didn’t seem to care how awesome his hair was or how clean he smelled, and would surely get covered in grease or something.

With a farewell pat on the car he left and entered the house. The tall blonde sported a confident smile as he walked past. It helped that he was quite a bit taller than most of the people here. Might help him fit in or avoid any questions. He instinctively reached out and gave a single and hard knock on the open door to announce his presence while he walked in without stopping. He always gave that little announcement when he entered an open door.

Bent over her laptop, eyes scrutinizing the screen, making sure the playlist she'd made with hours of music entitled 'Sexy Bitch Haven' was working, Jade replied, "Of course! Hit me, Kris!" And she meant with a drink. She didn't particularly care what. All she knew was that tonight was going to be fun. She was going to let loose like she always did at these events and have fun with the people that surrounded her. It'd been a while since they'd had a party and honestly, Kristina deserved it too, as Jade hadn't done much for her birthday, which she felt horrible about, she'd been in a slump after all, and although Jade wasn't huge on holidays, birthdays were the important ones.

Besides, she had to keep herself in check, it seemed that her power had been wanting to slip up lately, or maybe it was just her control fading. She'd accidentally paralyzed James, which made her positive she never wanted to see him again, and she hadn't had a problem with control since Hammel. She felt like she was backtracking and didn't understand why. She hated the feeling, because she was always in control.

The song had switched to M83's 'Midnight City' as she moved away from her laptop, where it sat on a table in the corner just in time to see a blonde walk through the door. "Fix all the cars in the neighborhood on your way here?" she called out to him from where she was with Kristina.

‘Pretty dance-y?’ Brooke was too tired to make a response. She was booty shaking, but it was her lazy booty shaking. It was the booty shaking that was trying to get her in the mood for more booty shaking. And again, alcohol might be the cure.

Whaaaat should she make? she thought as she gathered the various kinds of liquor scattered about the counter. She put up two cups before her and, like a mad scientist in her laboratory, she started mixing potions. Mwa ha ha ha ha ha!!!

Approximately 3 minutes later….

SUCCESS!!

Brooke held her concoction up to the sky for all to behold. But wait! What if it was too potent?? (yeah right) Surely she didn’t want to keel over right there before the party had begun?? Best test this elixir on someone else before sampling it herself.

She peered back out into the main room, her eyes searching for a likely victim target victim. There!! That clueless looking blonde person who just walked in!! He’ll doo niiiicelyyyy, hee heee heee.

“Welcome! To the Sexy Bitch Haven!” she announced to the newcomer, throwing one hand in the air enthusiastically while holding the cup in the other. “Here! Say friend. Drink! Then eeenter~” Brooke shoved the cup of mystery liquid at him and then stared at him expectantly.

Thankfully, Kristina had been in America long enough to know that Jade didn't literally want her to hit her. That terminology would have confused her years ago. Too lazy to double back to the kitchen, she handed over her own drink that she'd only had a couple sips from. She'd get another one... eventually. "Music sounds good." She commented with a general head nod towards the laptop. It would provide good background noise to the inevitable fun time.

An unfamiliar blonde walked through the door after knocking. Kristina's eyes glanced over and she gave him a small wave with a smile. It appeared that at least knew who he was. Maybe Brooke, who was already shoving a drink in his hand. She chuckled, shaking her head before going off to the kitchen to fill a red cup with another rum and coke, her drink of choice.

Matt’s face lit up when he spotted the familiar figure of Jade. Well… the familiar figure of Jade’s rear as she was bent over her computer and shuffling up some music or….whatever she was doing. He didn’t really care too much as he looked over her backside. He made sure to stand back up straight when Jade spoke to him though, and his smile shifted into a smirk.

“You know I fixed half ah them, and did something awful to the other half. Gotta say tomorrow when people get in there cars, it’s gonna be a flip’a the coin t’see what happens.” Matt knew he couldn’t purposefully break something… he’d instantly want to fix it. “Thanks f’r the invite… Y’got the stripper pole set up yet?”

Matt looked to the new face that approached with what appeared to be an offering. Matt looked over the girl who, just like Jade, was hot as all got out. “Sexy Bitch Haven? Well hell if that aint th’perfect name for this place”… Sexy Bitch Haven… Matt was pretty pleased that he had made a good impression on one of the Sexy Bitch Ambassadors. He smiled even brighter as he had understood the reference. The thing with the dwarves and swamp thing from Lord of the Rings!

“Friend!” He exclaimed before the drink hit his stomach. He grabbed it and sniffed at the concoction. The first thing that came to his mind was to ask what he was considering drinking, but he knew that was stupid. This was a college party! With hot chicks who probably knew all kinds of hot things… and had stripper poles… And drank without question! Matt had drank some before with his father. A beer or two after a long day of work, but he hadn’t had much in the way of hard liquor. Matt shrugged and took a drink. The cup was held up to his lip as he savored the flavour… Which was god-awful. He wanted to spit it out as it burned and… fizzled? Was it fizzling? But he knew he couldn’t do that. He had to suffer and swallow. He lowered his drink and gave the new girl a smile and a tip of the cup as he finally downed it.

A third woman gave him a wave and Matt offered his own with a smile, finally pushing past that awful taste. “Hey.” He called out to her, then looked down to Brooke. “I’m...a Matt by the way...Jade’s Mechanic. And friend.”

Jade gratefully took the drink from Kristina and took a long sip. "Thanks," she'd told her. She hated to rely on Pandora or anything else but her playlists. It played too mainstream of music, and no matter how many times you disliked a track, it would somehow reappear and Jade did not need to be hearing any more Sublime.

She knew that Matt was kidding. He had to be, she couldn't imagine him sabatouging random people's cars on the street. She straightened, letting the music play. It appeared to be that she'd gotten the playlist how she'd wanted on shuffle and now she just had to let it play. She turned, her raven hair falling over her shoulder. "No stripper pole. That's too generic. I'm what you would call an unconventional stripper," she told him with a grin. Brooke had came up to them as if on cue and shoved a drink in his hands. "This is Matt," she told Brooke. "He has magic hands." She said this with a sultry wink, although she'd only meant that he'd fixed her car. That was all. It was just much more fun to say it that way.

"By the way, don't feel pressured to drink that." She gestured to the cup in his hands. "Who knows what she put in there." She was glad he agreed that Sexy Bitch Haven was the perfect name. "I must take credit for the name of our apartment," she told him. "And it is perfect. Brooke's my roommate and so is..." She watched as Kristina disappeared into the kitchen. "Kristina. Czech girl with the hair to die for." She was already running off, but Jade knew she'd eventually return. And then Matt took it upon himself to introduce himself. "See, I told you he was good with his hands."

She took a few more sips from her drink, which she'd figured out was Rum and Coke, mostly what Kristina drank. "Oh, we're friends now, are we, Davis?"

“Matt-t-t-t-t-t-t—t-ttttttt———“ she stuttered out, having fun with the sound against her tongue. She grinned when Jade spoke of his so-called “magic hands”. “Oh, he does?” she said with interest and a rise of an eyebrow. Brooke was getting into the spirit of the party now. Yes, it just took a little booze(though she hadn’t actually had any yet) and the company of people who knew how to have fun. And this little boy Jade brought in, ooo, he was yummy and looked like he’d be fun to play with. . Brooke turned her back to the blonde and shouldered up to him. “Well, then, Mr. Magic Man. Let’s get high awhile,” she teased in a sultry voice, rolling her shoulder back into him. Oh, what fun this was going to be!

Brooke gave a good-hearted tee-hee-hee at Jade’s warning. “Waaat?” she asked with a pout. “S’not like it’s poison.” Nope, not even Brooke would do that. It might hit a young’n like him pretty hard though. We. Shall. See.

Though it was still a shame that Brooke didn’t have anything to drink for herself yet, so she gave a little finger wave to the boy Matt as Jade introduced her and then followed the girl with the hair “to die for” right back into the kitchen. Brooke gave Kristina a “little” greeting as they crossed into the kitchen. That is, she gave Kristina a little grope from behind then hopped into view. “Heya, chica! C’n I make ya anything?” she offered. Though the last time Brooke was put in charge of Kristina’s drink, the two had ended up macking for the rest of the night. She turned to the line-up of liquor and started a-mixing a-gain. Not the same thing she gave Matt.

 Alex  became very happy when Brook texted her about the party. Not only did she need this night out but she had missed Brook. They saw each others a lot of times since she left Hammel of course but it was nowhere near the amount of times they hung out while she was still there. She was too busy being a adult with college and work. Bleh! Alex had too much money she knew what to do with if Brook wanted she would pay her to take time off work and just hang with her all day. She didn't mind being a sugar momma when it came to her friends if they needed the money and she wanted to hang. 

Alex didn't bother to knock and let herself right in. She saw a couple of people but didn't feel the need to introduce herself to them just yet. Talking to Brook was the first on her to-do list and mingling second. "Where my princess at?" Alex asked loudly assuming Brook was in earshot.

Kristina nodded in response to Jade's thank as she started introducing everyone to each other. She knew mostly everyone, or knew of them. She caught the blonde guy's smile who now had a name to the face, before entering the kitchen, humming quietly to herself. Although she was feeling a little uneasy and down, she was hoping that a night of letting free with a group of friends was the right thing to do. She just needed to get into the right mood.

She approached the countertop, thinking of something to mix when she jumped in response, startled and a little caught off guard by the physical contact. Then, Brooke appeared in her line of vision and Kristina grinned. Propping her elbows on the counter, she rested her head in her hands, eyeing the liquor. "Sure thing girl." She'd let Brooke play bartender again even though last time it happened the night ended with a decent hangover after a night of hitting on her pretty friend. "Make me something good. Strong." Kristina said with a playful wink.
