Post by Xiomara "Vicky" Eogeum on Mar 11, 2015 15:35:44 GMT -5
The BasicsName: Xiomara, Victoria, Eogeum
Nicknames: Vicky - answers her middle name, Xixi (pronounced Zizi - used as an alias, not a name she is generally known by)
Age: Twenty-Five (July 9th)
Orientation: Heteroflexible heteroromantic
Desired Rank/Job: Local - Diner Waitress (Bessie's Breakfast and Burgers)
Powers: Siberian Cat Shapeshifting (appearance) - She is able to hold a state of being in between, which lets her adopt catlike ears, a tail, whiskers and more feline facial features, although she may be less understandable, as her words may flow together similarly to how a purr rolls - but she cannot purr unless she is in her full feline form. Side effects when shifting include pain in joints and bones, which wears off after a short time, but will worsen if she shifts again within a short space of time. As a human, she may show more feline tendencies and attitudes if she has remained as a cat for a noticeable amount of time. She also has the unfortunate side effect of hair balls, occasionally, and used to feel discomfort around dogs, but thanks to being in continued contact with one or another, she is more relaxed when human. However, if she is in her cat form and encounters a dog, she won't be so content.
Play By: Gong MinjiThe DetailsHair Color: Naturally brunette, but dyes it often and wears wigs.
Eye Color: Brown
Any Piercings? Belly button, lobes
Any Tattoos? Cat tattoo and quote on her left wrist (this)
Any Scars? Nope
General Appearance: Standing at 5"5', Vicky isn't the tallest lady you will ever meet, but that doesn't mean she doesn't stand out. She has a strong fashion sense and is pretty bold and bright, not afraid to wear maybe more... uncommon items in her mission to be interesting in appearance. Despite this occasional weirdness, she does know how to dress appropriately for different situations, from job interviews to slobbing around the house. She wears makeup whenever she leaves the house, and usually has just the basics on at least when home alone. It's become a kind of habit by now. Her racial descent is clear from her appearance - slightly tanned skin, sharper eyes and a smaller frame. This has lead her to wear push up bras and heels as well, and usually, her figure is well accentuated. Her hair is currently cut in a short bob style, and is just a couple of shades off her natural brunette. As said above, she has an affinity for different hair styles and colours, and achieves these through the use of wigs and hair dye. One day, her hair will be long and purple and curly, and the next it will only reach her shoulders, in a bold shade of blue. She believes hair is like any other fashion accessory, and it's more fun to play with the possibilities.
Personality: Vicky can be professional and mature, and is able to present herself well when it is necessary and the correct thing to be doing. She can hold an air of grace and confidence, speak with eloquence and be generally polite and charming. Her tolerance for others is generally fairly high, and even in situations where she is being provoked, she won't retort childishly, but will keep herself calm and contained, as to make sure she continues to be seen as such. That's not to say she doesn't have opinions, because she most definitely does, and she will most probably bitch about them later if you say something the wrong way.
At other times, she's quite a chill person. Possibly controversial subjects don't stir her too much, and you can count on her to not flinch once whilst you retell your explicit activities from the night before - if that's what you want to do. She doesn't have too much of a temper, and is a good listener, willing to be a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen to those who she cares about, which can range from a close friend to a near stranger; about half of the time, she won't let slip about other people's personal problems, but that depends, so be warned. She can be a gossiper, and she can play with information if she wants to screw with you, but she usually isn't too petty. Of course, she wouldn't do this with her closest friends or family. Her more caring side is mostly brought out by her younger brother - stereotypically, you would have a girl warning you of their protective brother, but in this case, if you mess Finn about, you will have an angry kitty to deal with - and although Vicky isn't vicious, she can be very sly and sneaky. What she lacks in physical violence, she makes up for in cunning. Also like her brother, she is creative and musically adept, although she leans more towards acting and drama than art, but she isn't a bad artist.
But she can be a lot of fun. Vicky is a partier, and isn't shy of her numerous one night stands and drunken escapades, and has been lucky to avoid trouble involving these so far.Your VicesLikes:

Vicky calls herself by the alias/nickname of Xixi when she has one night stands, for the sake of keeping her identity secret. And because it's fun.Family TiesHistoryThe Eogeums never intended to have children, not really. They didn't believe they were the parental types. However, when they discovered that Hyojoo had fallen pregnant... they didn't want to give the child up. They slowly grew attached to the baby as it developed, and they made an important decision during the pregnancy. They were currently residing in South Korea, but both of them had encounter their fair shares of bullying at school and as much as they loved their home culture, they wanted to move to America. Yong was pretty fluent in English, so he could pick up where his wife struggled, and they both felt that in the long run, it would be best for the child. A couple of months into pregnancy, they up sticks and flew over to New York, where they still live to this day.
Yong quickly adopted the name Jared, whereas Hyojoo decided to stick to her birthname, only calling herself the name Heather when someone stuggled to pronounce her name. Both of them fell in love with the beautiful, extravagant names they heard whilst in the US, which lead them to name their children names such as Pandora and Xiomara. They also fell in love with the idea of having children, especially after having their first little girl. Vicky was their first born, and was very comfortable with the American lifestyle. Hyojoo insisted on keeping Korean tradition in her, teaching her Korean alongside English, as she ended up doing with all her children, as well as doing things such as teaching her how to cook multiple Korean dishes and how to make kimchi. Vicky loves her 'home' culture, and is planning to visit South Korea someday.
Her childhood was fairly average. She did well in school, even though she was put in detention more than a couple times for misbehaviour, which improved over time. She showed her creativity as a child, and her extra energy was put into singing lessons and a performing arts company. Her brother followed in her footsteps with this, as did Pandora, but Yasmin and Sophia fell down different paths of interest. Vicky manifested, ironically enough, during a performance of Cats when she was fourteen. She still jokes that she was just too in character. Considering how obvious her manifestation was, she was recruited the day after. The idea of being a meta was extraordinary to her, and she went happily.
When she came to Hammel, her extroverted personality shone and she made multiple friends. People seemed to trust her easily, which may not have been the best decision, and as a teenager, she caused a fair amount of drama, but it was all in good fun. For her, at least. Her father, intrigued by her meta abilities, had come with her to Pilot Ridge. A recent family loss had given the Eogeums a rather large inheritance, and they bought a second house in Pilot, where Jared lived with Vicky, whilst Hyojoo remained with the rest of the children, as she was heavily pregnant, and very comfortable with where she was. Her brother, who had moved numerous years beforehand, moved in with them to help look after the children. The family went both ways to visit each other, and still do.
A couple of years later, Finn manifested as well, and moved up to join them. Jared continued to live with the three until Vicky turned twenty-one, at which point the family thought it would be more appropriate for Jared to be living with his wife, and he moved back to New York. Vicky's parents still own the house, but they only visit nowadays.
After Hammel, Vicky went to university, studying Counselling. She graduated a couple years back, but struggled to find a job. There were some offered to her, but they were too far away, and Vicky didn't want to be deserting her brother, considering he had developed his bipolar disorder and was in need of a lot of support. She tried to become a rock with him, and became good friends with Finn's best friend, Rue, in the progress. Without Rue, her life would be a whole lot more difficult than it was now. She loved her brother and all, but helping him caused a lot of stress.
So, instead of going for a full time job elsewhere in Vermont, she looked into part time ones in Pilot Ridge, so she could keep a firm eye on her sibling. She had worked a few jobs during her time at University, but she wanted to look somewhere new. She was reluctantly picked up by the old lady at Mother Marisol's as a cashier for the little sweet shop, and worked there for almost a year, but Vicky struggled to cope with Doris' prejudice and Doris struggled to cope with Vicky's... being, so she ended up quitting, and remained unemployed for a while, being stable thanks to her parents. She recently began undertaking a certification course with Hammel so that she can become a power trainer some time in the future, but in the meantime, she is working at Bessie's Breakfast and Burgers to pay the bills, and enjoys it there thoroughly.Roleplay ExamplemrowWhat About You?Name: Apple
